I will put it this way... If you care about your pet that is the only place you should go. Unbelievable how caring, professional, knowledgeable, experienced stuff is there. EVERYONE starting with front desk ladies, assistants and of course Dr. Mark are great people. I took my dog there this morning for tooth removal. That was our first visit there... I took my dog to a different vet in Algonquin earlier l was told that cracked tooth has to be removed. I had mixed feelings about it since the vet there didn't really examined my dog just look at her from the distance, made the decision and hand me a $500+ quote. Something didn't feel right so l scheduled my visit at Family Pet Care Clinic. Guess what. Tooth is fine, doesn't have to be removed at least not now, but Dr. Mark EXAMINED MY DOG THOROUGHLY while 4 people were holding my dog he still looked at all her teeth and made sure she is FINE! After all Dr. Mark explained everything in detail, there was no need to put my dog thru all surgery situation since crack is pretty much cosmetic! My family started seeing Dr. Mark when I was a child with our family pets.Years later and my hubby and I  and I've been bringing our brood to Dr. Mark. The minute I came in with my own animals he remembered me from my childhood and asked me not to age him :)We have been to  Dr Mark for everything from check-ups, infections to even putting an old girl down.. One of our guys passed out of the blue one morning he had a heart attack  and we were devastated.. We raced over to Dr. Mark's and even without an appointment they took us right in and gave us the comfort we needed in the time of need.  Dr Mark is an amazing vet and is very honest with you about anything no BS!  You can ask any question and he has very reasonable prices.  I wouldn't change a thing about it.  Love all of the staff at Family Pet.. We've been going here for 20 yrs. or so. Great Vet and family run place. He totally gets it. Prices are reasonable, and no B.S.. My 19yr old cat died peacefully last night.. which made me think of it. I'd just taken her in a couple weeks ago for her shots. He's treated all of our pets, 2 dogs, 3 cats over the time we've lived here.  Highly recommended. He's like I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but this cat has outlived most. It's true, she had a good life. It was her time. Always hate to lose a pet, but Dr. Mark is the place to go for the ones we still have. Read Less
