Auburn Veterinary Service has been my dogs' healthcare provider for over 9 years now. I have 3 large-breed English Labrador Retrievers, all pedigree, all pure bred. Obviously, I'm only going to allow the best veterinary care for my dogs, who are not merely pets, but members of the household and family. They have always received superlative care in any situation; the veterinarians are true professionals and true animal lovers, contrary to other providers I'd been to who were obviously in it for the money.
Auburn Veterinary Service is a very clean, sterile animal healthcare center. The staff are very friendly and supportive. And my dogs love Auburn Veterinary Service. When I say, "Do you want to go see doggie doctor?," they get very happy and excited. They love going there and are not afraid, contrary to other veterinary providers where you literally have to drag the dog through the door of the building because he is so frightened of the "doggie doctor." Not the case here by any means. All-three dogs love Dr. Kyle and Dr. Kristie. And they love my dogs, too, as I'm sure they do all of their other "clients."
Auburn Veterinary Service also charges extremely reasonable rates for the very high-quality care they deliver. I use Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) to insure all of my dogs' health. I highly recommend that, too. They have information about them at Auburn Veterinary Service, or you can find them online. I know for a fact that Auburn Veterinary service does NOT gouge customers or charge inflated prices, because VPI pays out every claim (for services and procedures covered under the contract) at 90-100% of the billed amount. They do not have to do much, if any, discounting on the claim to a network negotiated fee because Auburn Veterinary Service is only charging me the usual and customary amount in the first place. Here's an example.
I lived in Chicago for a year (and only had 2 dogs at the time), and the facility I took my dogs to charged $440 just for their annual shots. Four hundred and forty dollars. Needless to say, I did not get that back when I filed my insurance claim. I checked another provider in a less-prominent animal facility in the neighborhood--$660 for the annual shots for 2 dogs for 1 year. Outrageous. When I submitted the claim for my 3 dogs annual shots this year, VPI paid the claim for all-three dogs at 100%, minus my $50 annual deductible.
I also discovered that VPI reimburses the $11 I pay them to trim the dogs' nails, which is what the groomer charges, but I like the vets to do this because one dog has black nails, which are easily cut too short because you can't see the quick. VPI will pay the vet to do this, but not a groomer. OK. Whatever. Again, a very reasonable fee which is fully reimbursed by VPI because it is not inflated.
The Lucas and Chelsea, who work at the front desk at Auburn Veterinary Service, are kind enough to keep claim forms for my dogs on file, and they have the vets sign the forms and fax the claims to VPI for me. This way it gets done and I get reimbursed. This is a very kind and helpful value-added service that Auburn Veterinary Service provides for me. They WANT me to get those claim processed because they know that pays for my dogs' healthcare, and that means that the dogs get the continuous quality healthcare they deserve because it does not bleed me financially white. This helps me, my dogs, and it's a great business practice.
Auburn Veterinary Service is an excellent, high-quality animal healthcare center that charges fair, reasonable prices. And the dogs love it so much they just run right in and enjoy the attention. I would highly recommend Auburn Veterinary Service to a family member or friend. Everyone I've met and worked with at Auburn Veterinary Service has been very nice and professional. They are caring people.
One more example of their fair and reasonable prices: one of my dogs had to have his spleen removed. The claim was $920. After deducting my annual $50 deductible, VPI paid the claim at $850. You do the math. Read Less
