If you go to here DO NOT SEE Kenneth Geoghegan. This one star rating is directed towards him, not the other vets or vet techs. My family and I have two issues we'd like to address.First off, my cat would be dead right now if I would have listened to him. I brought my cat in on monday for being lethargic and not eating. He did not instruct me in anyway to get food or water into her. All he did was say he thinks that there is a larger problem and he wanted to sedate her for bloodwork. He scheduled this for Thursday. I rushed her to another vet tuesday and they told me if I had waited another hour she would be dead. It blows my mind that he was okay with waiting so many days. Another problem I have is when we took our older cat with liter box issues in. We ran a lot of tests and he came back healthy. His suggestion was to put down the cat. We almost listened to him. Thank god we didn't and have been able to google solutions to keep him from peeing on the couches. He did not offer any piece of advice on ways we could prevent him from going.If you do decide to go here (they are reasonably priced) I would ask for Dr Baker or Dr Knecht. Read Less

We have been seeing Dr Baker since they were located in downtown Bartlett ( 15+ yrs ago + )Dr Baker has done hip surgery on our German shepherd and taken care of our cats  through the years. He is currently taking care of our  7 year  old Bichon ( Tucker ) who suddenly went down  with autoimmune hemolytic anemia ( OMG ) I thought we were going to lose him...DR's Baker and Nelson have kept a close eye on him, calling on weekends checking on him...Incredible .  I'm happy to report  almost 30 days later Tucker is now doing great. Our first visit was terrific! We have a stubborn, scared little furball.  Let's face it..she's a biter and a fighter!! Dr. Baker was so patient and kind! Gentle but firm when needed. So impressed! I was 39 weeks pregnant when we had to put our dog of 15 years down. Bartlett Animal Hospital not only helped me make sure this was right decision for my pet, but staff was so empathetic and kind during the process.(towards my dog and my mother and I) Everything was explained in great detail, and my dog was treated so gently by the vet in his frail stage that he was in. I can not give enough compliments to the vets at this Animal Hospital for helping me with this decision and caring about my dog as much as I do even in hard times and hard decisions. I came to Bartlett animal hospital for something pet owners never are ready to do. My 13 year old pit bull needed to cross rainbow bridge and couldn't make the journey without a little help. Although it was a very horrible time in our families lives, Bartlett staff was so very compassionate, and understanding with what we needed for our family member that was so dear to us. They gave us the time we needed with our loved one, we were never rushed or felt as if we were an inconvenience. This review has been a long time coming. I began taking  my 3 year old Shih Tzu to Dr. Nelson back in 2002. She is fantastic and always has time to answer all questions. I moved from the area in 2008 but would still take my guy in for visits when time allowed as I was far from her location.The Summer of 2015 my guy began to run into health issues, Dr. Nelson or Dr. Baker would take my call and give me their thoughts. I took him there a last time in the fall of 2015, she was elated to see us as we felt the same. Unfortunately time ran out on my friend early 2016. A month later I set up an appointment with Dr. Nelson, not telling her what occurred. She opened up her arms for me, we went over what transpired and she shed her experiences, it was phenomenal.Dr. Nelson and Dr. Baker are outstanding vets, but more importantly, possess hearts of a champ. 5 years ago I was hunting for a new vet for my pups.....I found Bartlett Animal Hospital...The front office staff as well as the vet techs are very courteous and caring.  I have seen all the doctors and they are all knowledgeable and trustworthy.  My favorite doctor is Dr Baker (even my furbabies like him the best) he is caring, gentle and my babies react very well with him.  Great "petside manner".  I recommend this Vet office to anyone who is looking for a team of doctors to care for your babies. I was shocked to have found my 4 month old kitten unresponsive and in a coma state the other day.  I raced him to the closest hospital for emergency treatment to save his life.  Luckily I brought him to Bartlett Animal Hospital.  Even though they were working with minimal staff on a late Friday afternoon and busier than ever, they made time to save my kitty's life!  They were very understanding of my obvious state of shock and grief, even getting me a bottle of water and allowing me to stay with my kitty the entire time.  Because of their quick response, I was able to get him to 24 hour care , all along thinking he would never make it.  The staff, Anthony, Amber and Dr. Washington were wonderful.  I would highly suggest anyone to check this business out as they sincerely care about your fur kids!  By the way, my kitty is home today and resting comfortably! I've been seeing Dr. Baker for all my life. My oarents have gone to him before he started running the place and just graduated. We always recomend him to any friends in need of a better vet and his work is absolutely perfect.I'm a recent high school graduate and I'm pursuing my dreams in hope to become a succesful veterinarian myself. I have job shadowed Dr. Baker and Dr. Kua. It's a great environment around here. I have been going to Bartlett Animal Hospital for close to 20 years. Dr. Baker and Dr. Nelson have both been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, trustworthy and caring in taking care of each of my dogs. They have also provided the right guidance, information and compassion when the time came to make the difficult decision to let go of my beloved and faithful pets. I had a dog with epilepsy and they provided the latest treatment options in his care.  I have a new puppy Lucy and she actually loves going to the vet because the vets and support staff are very friendly and caring.  I don't know what I would do without them! STAY AWAY, stay far, far away!!! Although we have used this vet for our animals for the past few years, it wasn't until recently we decided to change vets due to the constant up charging and extremely rude customer service! I do feel like the vets do a good job at Bartlett Animal Hospital, BUT, the front desk is awful, they are rude, unhelpful, and completely inappropriate. I recently spoke with Julie, who was so unprofessional, she literally hung up on me...twice!! Maybe I caught her on a bad day, but they have definitely lost my business (and a neighbor who had a similar situation happen to them), AND I am beyond happy with my decision to change vets!!!!!!! My pets have seen every doctor at Bartlett Animal Hospital, and we have been pleased with every one of them.I think their knowledge and care for your four-legged family members is top notch.  In one situation our dog was declining rapidly due to medication for the heart deteriorating the kidneys.  Dr. Nelson worked her network of other doctors to see other options we could use.  Thankfully her research paid off and we were able to enjoy our dog for a while longer vs. the path we were originally on.I feel so blessed to have this wonderful Animal Hospital so close to me. Dr. Baker is a wonderful veterinarian and surgeon. He provided care for two of my parents dogs, during a time when my Dad was ill. In fact, Dr. Baker took one of them in, for 3 weeks, during Dad's 3 week hospitalization. That, for our family, was unbelievable. It spoke to a level of compassion and empathy that you don't often see in the veterinary community and for our family, it meant so much. The staff was kind and courteous. I know, our family wishes that Dr. Baker's office and clinic was located closer to our home, now. We know he is excellent.
