they have an excellent hospital staff. i would totally use them for any hospital type needs for my dog. the reason i gave 2 stars is i also had my long haired pekingese get groomed and bathed from this place the same day i got him his shots. i had been letting his hair grow for a couple years and specifically told them not to cut it short. i actually saw the doctor write it down as a note for the groomer. my pekes hair was touching the ground when i dropped him off and when i went to pick him up, they gave him a short haircut and style for a way different breed dog. i mean took off a good year of growth not to mention their is a wad of dog feces stuck to his fur. i am a very busy person and tried to save time by hiring somebody to bath my dog. now i to have to bath him again immediately as the feces smell is nauseating as i type this.. waste of $60. for grooming, but a good hospital

I've taken my two doxie mixes here for 9 years now. Before that was my calico cat for a number of years. The staff has always been friendly and been able to fit me in the same day. We are now treating my oldest doxie for back problems, trying to do anything we can before a possible back surgery. They have had their shots there, spayed and neutered, nails trimmed, teeth cleaned and maintained, etc. Their office is always nice and clean, the techs are friendly, and the front office as well. I have never heard anyone treated rudely. They also treat the local police dogs. I would highly recommend!

Had our seven month old kitten declawed and neutered here. Overall I believe the veterinarian did very well, and was very compassionate and thorough on our phone updates. The only downside was the receptionists. They seemed pretty flustered and unorganized, but mostly they were quick to try and get you off the phone. Other than that I have the utmost faith in the practice and the ability of the veterinarians.

We took our dog there to get an exam. My wife was told it would be best if she waited outside the exam room as to not make the dog nervous. We have never had an issue with this dog he is very sweet and loving. My wife heard him crying horribly in the exam room and wondered what happened. When the technician came out she said that our dog was horrible and would not calm down and actually tried to bite her. This dog has never been anybody in his life. After we took the dog home we noticed that he was in great pain and could not even walk up the stairs. We call the animal clinic and asked if something may have happened in the exam room to make him tweaked his back. After several what terms of trying to find out what happened? They finally admitted that he had fallen off of the exam table. They never would've told us if we did not press hard for information. I would not recommend this place for any animal that you love.

My husband and I drive from St Louis county to bring our pets here. The staff is always wonderful and attentive, and I've never had anyone be pushy with products. They saved my mom's kitty on Christmas Eve several years ago. We never would have thought they would even be open. He had an abscess and they lanced and drained it and he healed just fine. I'd recommend them to anyone wanting to take good care of their fur babies.

I have been going to BAC for several years and very pleased. However, when i took my pup in to look at her bleeding paws, i felt like i was inconveniencing them. they didnt know what it was so they just said "we cant do anything for her, but itll go away." As my dog is limping around the room and bleeding all over their floor. They didnt give any suggestions or to go see someone else. I got a second opinion the next day and they said it was the Papilloma Virus and they prescribed 3 medicines. Will not being returning to BAC. The other vet was way more helpul and didnt look at me like i had 4 eyes when i wanted a paper towel to clean up the blood off the floor. I felt like an inconvenience to them.

BEWARE: if they advise you to let them keep your pet overnight, understand that they will charge you "intensive care" fees for TWO days (calendar days) because your pet is there at midnight. That's correct: overnight = two days. Laughable. This clinic is clearly in it for the wrong reasons. Would love to find a place that genuinely cares about helping pet owners keep their dogs healthy - not a deterrent to care due to exorbitant fees. ABC, you lost another customer today.

Took a dog here to have it scanned for a chip, it cost over $300 to leave with the dog. The dog was a healthy animal. Do not recommend this place would never go there again.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience here at all. I brought my cat here for a couple of routine surgeries that our regular vet did not have the facilities for. During her consultation, we were treated well, but the veterinarian made a comment about how much she hated doing cat dentals (one of the procedures my cat needed). Despite this, I asked for a quote for the surgeries. I was quoted around $1,100 and although high, went ahead and asked for a surgery appointment. I gave them several phone numbers and an email address and was never contacted. I waited a week before I decided to go to another veterinarian in the area. The other veterinarian quoted me $450 for the EXACT same surgery with all of the same medications and services. There are plenty of other veterinary clinics in the area with much better customer service, and much better prices.

They always find some little thing to do that makes an ordinary visit a little more special. Even though they are all busy, no one has ever tried to hurry me along. I'm very pleased with BAC!

BAC Animal Clinic is an Awesome veterinarian clinic. They have really worked with us to keep our aging Great Dane Healthy. But, they advertise and recommend the Belleville Bed & Biscuit Kountry Kennel. Upon their recommendation we took our Great Dane to the Belleville Bed & Biscuit Kountry Kennel so that we could attend an out of town wedding. She was only there for two days. Our beloved pet took three days to recover. She stank of urine and urine was leaking uncontrollably from her. Her eyes were red and sagging. And she was very weak. We cannot and do not agree with the recommendation of this kennel. There's a lot of positive feed back on the kennel. But that is not our opinion or our experience..?..we will never know.

Other places lacked the time or communication skills to explain anything to me.Compared to the other places I've tried, BAC's prices are fair, and their level of service and patient education is exceptional. The vet techs were very knowledgable and welcoming, too. I'm really happy I found this place :)

I've come here several times with my mommy-in-law to help me with my furry babies. She suggested this place to me because she's been coming here for years. My newest baby, Khaleesi, was scratching her face more than normal and it was causing her to bleed. I took her in by myself and they discovered she had a pretty bad case of ear mites. They saw me without an appointment and loved Khaleesi. They were all incredibly nice and attentive. They also give you a free kitten kit the first time your kitty is seen there. It comes with treats, kitten food, tons of literature on raising cats and a folder for your records. I can't imagine taking my babies anywhere else for their medical needs.

So here's the thing. I have to drop a star because the equipment is kind of old. It still works but it's a little old and you won't find a fast scale here or anything, alas. The office is very popular and, as such, can be a little busy but that's okay, the front desk staff keeps us updated on what's going on if you have to wait and they're nice to me and my pets.On the other hand, I have to recommend BAC to anyone because they are so good to me and my pets. I have a herd of cats, one of whom is a little elderly and has a recurring condition, the poor baby, and for a period of time while we were getting him diagnosed, it could've gone either way - he could have had a truly dreadful condition or he could have had a still-icky-but-treatable condition. They were very clear about my options from diagnosis to treatment and they were very, very kind to me while I was calling them about three times a week in a complete panic. We got a diagnosis relatively quickly and the condition is fairly under control but they continue to be very, very kind to me and Meowie while he goes through recurring treatments.So, yeah, maybe the equipment is kind of old but from the front desk to the back office, everyone there makes up for it with their knowledge and kindness and genuine love for their jobs and your pets.

As my dog is limping around the room and bleeding all over their floor. They didnt give any suggestions or to go see someone else. I got a second opinion the next day and they said it was the Papilloma Virus and they prescribed 3 medicines. Will not being returning to BAC. The other vet was way more helpul and didnt look at me like i had 4 eyes when i wanted a paper towel to clean up the blood off the floor. I felt like an inconvenience to them.

Wish I had read these reviews 24 hours ago. Unreasonably high fees without apology- it's all true. BEWARE: if they advise you to let them keep your pet overnight, understand that they will charge you "intensive care" fees for TWO days (calendar days) because your pet is there at midnight. That's correct: overnight = two days. Laughable. This clinic is clearly in it for the wrong reasons. Would love to find a place that genuinely cares about helping pet owners keep their dogs healthy - not a deterrent to care due to exorbitant fees. ABC, you lost another customer today.

Took a dog here to have it scanned for a chip, it cost over $300 to leave with the dog. The dog was a healthy animal. Do not recommend this place would never go there again.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience here at all. I brought my cat here for a couple of routine surgeries that our regular vet did not have the facilities for. During her consultation, we were treated well, but the veterinarian made a comment about how much she hated doing cat dentals (one of the procedures my cat needed). Despite this, I asked for a quote for the surgeries. I was quoted around $1,100 and although high, went ahead and asked for a surgery appointment. I gave them several phone numbers and an email address and was never contacted. I waited a week before I decided to go to another veterinarian in the area. The other veterinarian quoted me $450 for the EXACT same surgery with all of the same medications and services. There are plenty of other veterinary clinics in the area with much better customer service, and much better prices.

Great experience!! Everyone there was super friendly and we did not wait long at all! We definitely found a permanent vet for our puppy!

The entire staff at BAC is absolutely wonderful. No matter the circumstance, they are are always polite and accommodating. The thing I like most is the care and attention they give to the animals. They always find some little thing to do that makes an ordinary visit a little more special. Even though they are all busy, no one has ever tried to hurry me along. I'm very pleased with BAC!

BAC Animal Clinic is an Awesome veterinarian clinic. They have really worked with us to keep our aging Great Dane Healthy. But, they advertise and recommend the Belleville Bed & Biscuit Kountry Kennel. Upon their recommendation we took our Great Dane to the Belleville Bed & Biscuit Kountry Kennel so that we could attend an out of town wedding. She was only there for two days. Our beloved pet took three days to recover. She stank of urine and urine was leaking uncontrollably from her. Her eyes were red and sagging. And she was very weak. We cannot and do not agree with the recommendation of this kennel. There's a lot of positive feed back on the kennel. But that is not our opinion or our experience..?..we will never know.

Other places lacked the time or communication skills to explain anything to me.Compared to the other places I've tried, BAC's prices are fair, and their level of service and patient education is exceptional. The vet techs were very knowledgable and welcoming, too. I'm really happy I found this place :)

I usually treat him onbase but this vet is always available and the one I trust with any type of urgent care, they havent ever told me they couldnt take him. They always tell me the truth and show me the paperwork. Their hours are great and PM tomes available too.

I've come here several times with my mommy-in-law to help me with my furry babies. She suggested this place to me because she's been coming here for years. My newest baby, Khaleesi, was scratching her face more than normal and it was causing her to bleed. I took her in by myself and they discovered she had a pretty bad case of ear mites. They saw me without an appointment and loved Khaleesi. They were all incredibly nice and attentive. They also give you a free kitten kit the first time your kitty is seen there. It comes with treats, kitten food, tons of literature on raising cats and a folder for your records. I can't imagine taking my babies anywhere else for their medical needs.

So here's the thing. I have to drop a star because the equipment is kind of old. It still works but it's a little old and you won't find a fast scale here or anything, alas. The office is very popular and, as such, can be a little busy but that's okay, the front desk staff keeps us updated on what's going on if you have to wait and they're nice to me and my pets.On the other hand, I have to recommend BAC to anyone because they are so good to me and my pets. I have a herd of cats, one of whom is a little elderly and has a recurring condition, the poor baby, and for a period of time while we were getting him diagnosed, it could've gone either way - he could have had a truly dreadful condition or he could have had a still-icky-but-treatable condition. They were very clear about my options from diagnosis to treatment and they were very, very kind to me while I was calling them about three times a week in a complete panic. We got a diagnosis relatively quickly and the condition is fairly under control but they continue to be very, very kind to me and Meowie while he goes through recurring treatments.So, yeah, maybe the equipment is kind of old but from the front desk to the back office, everyone there makes up for it with their knowledge and kindness and genuine love for their jobs and your pets.
