Yesterday was my last day as a client there. They are right down the street from me, so they have been convenient, and my dog has been a patient/client for a few years. But yesterday, I rushed my dog there DURING BUSINESS HOURS because she was intense acute pain. I ran in and said "I have an emergency" and was told that they no longer take emergency appointments, and they have to refer me to Downers Grove (30 to 40 minutes away). Since there was a lady in the waiting room with her dog, I knew they were taking regular appointments so I said "Do you have any appointments???" No. "IS THERE A DOCTOR HERE WHO CAN LOOK AT HER? SHE'S IN INTENSE PAIN!!!" Nope. I had to drive all the way out to Downers Grove. I understand that "policies change" and the employees are telling me what they are supposed to tell me. But where is room for compassion in your policy? There was a doctor there on site. I will not be coming back.

My dog is in pain, she won’t lift her head and she’s just crying. We don’t know what to do and this is the only vet opened on a Sunday we can find. I saw bad reviews and I was scared but as the day progressed we became desperate and called to set an appointment. A women answered simply said “hold” and put me on hold. I waited about a minute or so then she hung up. I called back I could hear th receiver pick up, background noise and then she hung up again. She did the same thing the other 4 times I called. Please don’t offer services you are not willing to give. We’ll just have to let my dog wait out her pain until the morning hoping she survives it.

Poor service this people only cares about money ,
I took my dog on thursday cuz she was attack by another dog , they make me waste my time n money i got there like around 6:40 when this place closes...

I took my dog on thursday cuz she was attack by another dog , they make me waste my time n money i got there like around 6:40 when this place closes at 8pm. First thing before taking my money away it was for tham to tell me to go to a 24 hrs emergency hospital , but NO !!! They took my dog for les than 20mn n they charge me 130 dlls when they didnt do nothing , this was rediculos am not even complaining abou the money at this point but they make me waste the little time my dog had left , i took her to a 24hrs hospital after all but sadly my dog didnt make it thru the night!! This doctors are heart less !!!!!!

I also had a bad experience ... I brought my cat who was evidently in the pain. Dr. recommended my cat hospitalization and asked for $400 - $600 for kidney exam. I didn't have enough money so I left with crying cat and went to other animal hospital. Dr. promptly find my cat's constipation, helped him with an enema and medication .... = $110.

I took my cat here, she had an ear infection which I got medicine for from another vet but I came home one day and her breathing was bad. I took her into the hospital and they took her in right away. ...
I took my cat here, she had an ear infection which I got medicine for from another vet but I came home one day and her breathing was bad. I took her into the hospital and they took her in right away. But they came out telling me it was just an ear infection that has spread a little to her skin but she would be okay just gave me some medicine that would "help" charged me 290 $ for two things of medicine and test they "supposedly" did. Where at my other vet they gave me the same exact medicine for no charge. This place had my cat in and out within 30 minutes. Horrible vets that don't care about your animal and only about the money. Didn’t take time to actually find the problem only took the easy way out to get my money. My cat passed away 2 days ago and I've never been more sad. This place is disgusting for how they are running what should be a place that helps save animals lives is really a scam.

I had taken my lab retriever to two other vets before being recommended VCA. There is a huge difference in attention and follow up that makes VCA stand out. They quickly identify that allergies were the reason behind my dogs problems and have been great every time I've been there since. I did find them to be a little more expensive than the other vets but my Simba is well worth it and their care and service more than makes up for it.

I took in my injured shi tzu for an exam to her paw and the desk ladies were nice but the doctors were so rude!! He basically lectured me about how I should've brought my dog in earlier and how wrong ...
I took in my injured shi tzu for an exam to her paw and the desk ladies were nice but the doctors were so rude!! He basically lectured me about how I should've brought my dog in earlier and how wrong it was to have her in the condition she was in. Of course I knew that, that's why I was bringing her in now!! Then he wanted $80 just for antibiotics and a nail trim!! I will never ever go again.

I was very pleased with this hospital. The staff is very nice and caring. My poor pom Dexter passed away in July and they completely took care of us when we first set foot inside. Before his passing we took him here many times for exams and shots. They are knowledgeable and in my opinion have hearts of gold. Thank you very much for your attentive care.

I am so disappointed to see the poor reviews. We took our dog, Murray, here when our normal vet could not see him quickly (he was in bad shape). I called ahead of time to let them know we were coming...
I am so disappointed to see the poor reviews. We took our dog, Murray, here when our normal vet could not see him quickly (he was in bad shape). I called ahead of time to let them know we were coming and they came out into the parking lot to greet us before we were even out of the car. At one of the most difficult times in a pet's life - the end - this place was amazing. They were kind, considerate, appropriate and had Murray's best interests in mind immediately, which was making him comfortable. Then they turned to us to make sure we - including our daughters - were comfortable with everything, the doctor and techs did a phenomenal job talking to our girls about loving pets and good memories. I just cannot say enough good things about how well our pet and we were taken care of in this awful situation.

I needed a prescription refill for my dog that has incredible allergies and was told in a really rude way that I would have to wait 24 hrs for a refill. She would not interrupt a doctor for my medicine because they had no pharmacist during their working hours. I have been overcharged by these people over the past 6 months for more than three thousand dollars and yet they told me I should have thought ahead of my dog's prescriptions. I will never be there again and warn anyone who needs help to go there. There is a clinic near by Rt.66. DO NOT GO TO VCA!!!!!!!

I have been using VCA in Berwyn for several years and I have found them to be honest with me and very easy to work with. Dr B is my vet there and has been for close to 10yrs. Her and her techs always take the time to meet and greet my dog and are just great to work with. My dog loves her!!

Yesterday was my last day as a client there. They are right down the street from me, so they have been convenient, and my dog has been a patient/client for a few years. But yesterday, I rushed my dog there DURING BUSINESS HOURS because she was intense acute pain. I ran in and said "I have an emergency" and was told that they no longer take emergency appointments, and they have to refer me to Downers Grove (30 to 40 minutes away). My dog is in pain, she won’t lift her head and she’s just crying. We don’t know what to do and this is the only vet opened on a Sunday we can find. I didn't have enough money so I left with crying cat and went to other animal hospital. Dr. promptly find my cat's constipation, helped him with an enema and medication .... = $110.

But they came out telling me it was just an ear infection that has spread a little to her skin but she would be okay just gave me some medicine that would "help" charged me 290 $ for two things of medicine and test they "supposedly" did. I had taken my lab retriever to two other vets before being recommended VCA. There is a huge difference in attention and follow up that makes VCA stand out. They quickly identify that allergies were the reason behind my dogs problems and have been great every time I've been there since. I did find them to be a little more expensive than the other vets but my Simba is well worth it and their care and service more than makes up for it.

He basically lectured me about how I should've brought my dog in earlier and how wrong it was to have her in the condition she was in. Of course I knew that, that's why I was bringing her in now!! Then he wanted $80 just for antibiotics and a nail trim!! I will never ever go again.

I was very pleased with this hospital. The staff is very nice and caring. My poor pom Dexter passed away in July and they completely took care of us when we first set foot inside. Before his passing we took him here many times for exams and shots. They are knowledgeable and in my opinion have hearts of gold. Thank you very much for your attentive care.

I am so disappointed to see the poor reviews. We took our dog, Murray, here when our normal vet could not see him quickly (he was in bad shape). I called ahead of time to let them know we were coming and they came out into the parking lot to greet us before we were even out of the car. At one of the most difficult times in a pet's life - the end - this place was amazing. They were kind, considerate, appropriate and had Murray's best interests in mind immediately, which was making him comfortable. Then they turned to us to make sure we - including our daughters - were comfortable with everything, the doctor and techs did a phenomenal job talking to our girls about loving pets and good memories. I just cannot say enough good things about how well our pet and we were taken care of in this awful situation.

She would not interrupt a doctor for my medicine because they had no pharmacist during their working hours.
