Been going there for 23 years. Many dogs/cats. All I ever hear from them is money before. When they forget to do full lab work (which is needed). They call back with only 1 procedure. I tell them I need full and then "we can take $$ over the phone". You have to investigate your dog's illnesses yourself, give them your information, tell them what you need done, etc. Many-many years ago, was good. But now, all about the money. Service below standard anymore. I will have to look at finding a better more complete vet office within the next few months. They should be telling me what my animals need; not me researching and telling them what needs to be checked out. Upset. Upset. Also, after all these years, they took blood from my dogs neck not her leg. In 62 years of having dogs, I have never - ever had a blood draw from my dog's neck. We drive all our way from Oak Park to Boughton Square AC with our cats for their check-ups! When I had a nasty experience with a vet clinic in Oak Park a couple of years ago, one of my work colleagues recommended me Boughton Animal Clinic (she had two cats and the staff there were pretty awesome with them), so I tried and took my two old cats. One of them had six teeth removed (poor thing), and also got some bladder problems. The doctor was amazingly nice with her, and the treatment was quick, professional and not as expensive as I thought (yes, we all would spend all our money in our pets, but we don't have to pay some ridiculous amount of money for every single procedure...) We changed to this clinic ever since, and now they also take care of our recently adopted kitten. They are the best! :) Read Less

Came in just for a vaccine and I asked for the total before getting it done they told me $85.. she ended up getting two shots one for the yearly shot and they other one that i never asked for and total came out to be $120. I have placed my most precious gift into their care which my beloved Nipper AKA Baby Boo. Their concern and care of him has been extraordinary. Nipper is a full blooded Boston Terrier and still at age 11 is very energetic. I thought he might have developed arthritis because when he was getting up in the morning he was limping around, so I contacted the clinic they had me bring him in and after examining him they proscribed medication which I am happy to report has done wonders for Nipper. I've been using them for the last 2 years for both my dogs and my cat. Everyone is super friendly, polite, and helpful. No bad experiences yet. I want to thank everyone for taking care of Rascal this morning. We showed at your door when you opened with no appointment and Terri took care of us right away. No Dr was in yet but she made sure we were doing ok. As soon as Dr K. Came in he looked at Rascal right away. He has such an amazing heart and Rascal knows it. After a few minutes of him holding him he started to move a little. When he put him down to walk he did but not very well. They did what they need to do to make him feel better. I brought our dog, Cookie, here for the first time over the holidays to be microchipped. We had been traveling and thought it would be prudent to get her chipped. Our appointment went great. Awesome place !! We took our cat Missy recently for her eyes and ears and I'm glad we did , our cat is much better now thanks to this amazing staff ........we came in and didn't wait long at all ! As soon as we filled some paperwork we were brought in the room with her and checkup started ..........Vet really knew what he was doing and ladies were awesome ! Our first time there last week the staff very polite the building very clean and examining rooms. No foul odors what so ever I really like this place and you will to. I forgot to mention the doctor he was awesome with my dog and seemed to be very compassionate. If you're reading reviews trying to decide where to take your pet you can stop her and call.I was also worried about pricing and they were very reasonable also... do yourself and pet a favor and go to boughton square animal clinic. My pup came from an adoptive home, and the agent gave us a certificate for free immunizations at an animal hospital way out in Glenn Elyn.  As much as I like free, that's too far of a haul in case of an emergency.  I was looking for a vet closer to home.  Well for me, this place fits the bill.  Not even a five minute walk from the house. When I called to set up an appointment later in the week, the staff was very accommodating on the phone.  They even had appointments that day, if need be.  We got in the day of the appointment about fifteen minutes early, due to some paperwork that needed to be filled out.  The paperwork took all of two minutes to complete.  Lo and behold, next thing you know, we are sitting in a room waiting for the vet.  Not to get too disgusting, but we noticed a little worm problem with our pup. The first thing they did was an on-site testing of the poop, and came up with tapeworm. They gave her a vaccination for that, along with her rabies shot, and a heart worm one.  I was very impressed with the staff here.  From the vet to the technicians to the office personnel.  They were all very friendly, and answered any questions I had.  My pup loved them because she got a treat out of the deal.  The animal clinic itself is housed in a strip mall, and the office itself is rather, old, so to speak.  If you're looking for shiny and new, this is not the vet you want to visit.  But if you are looking for basic care for your pet, they do a fine job in that sector.
