Our cat, Savannah, and, my husband and I were treated respectfully, and, accurately. Our previous vet, was treating Savannah for feline leukemia. Dr. Martin took a sample of her blood, and, called to let us know that she is positive for feline AIDS, not leukemia. I consider that to be a pretty big error, particularly since we have another cat at home who is 16 years old. We lost his brother July 7, 2017. He was a big, beautiful cameo Maine Coon, who wasted away, losing 5-6 pounds in the months before he died after having many teeth extracted. He seemed to lose interest in living after the surgery. I suspect he may have contracted the feline AIDS from Savannah, although, we had no idea there was any risk, as leukemia is not contagious. If we had stayed with her practice, we would have been paying for the annual leukemia vaccine, and, been totally unaware of the mis-diagnosis. We miss Captain 'Kirk' every time we look at his brother, 'Flash' Gordon. Kirk was a laid back, happy cat who gave us great joy. It has been almost one year, and, I still find myself crying - I loved him deeply. I will miss him until the day I die. I have a suspicion that we might still have Kirk if we had taken him to Merrick 18 months ago. Dr. Martin is an angel in a lab coat, and, I found Dr. Martin, the receptionist, and, the vet tech to be friendly, knowledgeable, and, trustworthy. This was our first visit, and, we will be taking our pets to Merrick, from now on. Read Less
