Just found out that the clinic closed. I'm very upset!!! Dr Matthews was awesome. The girls that worked there were amazing!!!! Screw all of you other clinics that charge out of the ass. He really did care about our animals. And he dint charge an arm and a leg like the rest of you money hungry people. He knew that sometimes we couldn't afford to do stuff and he would try and help us any way he could!!! Fxxck all you jealous assholes. You know who you are. The ones that made trouble for Dr Matthews cuz he was taking away your business!!!!! There are a lot of pet owners out there that cant afford to take there animals to those expensive ass clincs. I have been going to this clinic for years, well over 30.  The vet is very knowledgeable, and caring towards the animals, the staff is very polite and helpful.  You can tell that everyone there is an animal lover.  They do not recomment unnecessary tests, or treatments to run up your bill, like many other vets do.I recently lost my beloved dog Gigi to cancer, and Dr. Matthews was very helpful.  He recommended an emergency clinic that had specialized equipment to deal with her problem.  He didn't even charge me for my last office visit.I remember, when my father was alive, Dr. Matthews told him the reason he did not raise his prices (compared to the high cost of other vets) was so animals in the area could get affordable healthcare.  Other vets are just too expensive for some people.  This man is a true animal lover.  Thank you Dr. Matthews, and staff!  Many thanks, for your years of great service,Susan Osborn Read Less

Do not take your pet here,I brought my toy poodle once and the vet stuck her four times trying to get blood .Finally he said he had to call one of his staff in.The Vet acted very agitated and during the whole time he was taking calls on his cell phone.Stay away. Read Less

This use to be a five star vet. People came from all over Illinois to take their pets there, but in the last ten years it has changed a great deal. The prices were always affordable and reasonable and although the wait was very long it was once well worth it. I started to notice the level of service dropping dramatically over the years. One the office staff will go out of their way to tell a customer their opinions and most of the time they lack the education to draw such conclusions. I don't need someone who's not a doctor providing me with medical advice. Two the staff may have been working for the doctor for years, but some times they are rude to customers.Third, my cat was de-clawed there and the soft tissue that is located inside of the claw is hanging out on part of her claw. I decided instead of taking her back there to have it fixed I will just pay to have it done elsewhere. Fourth, whenever I took my dog there they always had a very hard time taking her blood. You would think that would be a simple thing, but they would have to stick the needle in and move it around. My dog was hollering in pain and I thought to myself I've had my blood taken before, how would I feel if they had to move a needle around to catch a vein in my arm? If they knew what they were doing my healthy dog wouldn't be screaming and hollering multiple times just to give a blood sample. The last I took her there they insisted that they take her in another room to get her blood and I heard her holler through the wall. I felt like I let her down by taking her there again and allowing them to take her blood without me being present. I've never had a vet ask me to take her in another room to take her blood especially since, I'm pretty calm and I help to make her calm. Yes, you have other options for a vet so please explore them for the sake of your pet. I noticed that there are several wrongful death lawsuits against this clinic for obvious reasons. Read Less

I was obligated to take my cat to this clinic because the adoption agency pretty much required it. They don't take appointments for shots so the first visit I waited 3 hours with my cat for a less than a minute stick. The second time I waited 2 hours. Today I picked up my cat after getting neutered and declawed. I asked for aftercare/post-op instructions and the aide just looked at me and said nope. I hope they took care of my cat better than they do with customers! If you like to wait and NOT get any information or feedback this the place to go!!! Read Less
