I can not sing enough praises about the staff and Drs. Amanda and Kyle Flessner, and neither can my Bulldog Brenna. All I have to say is, Brenna truck vet, and she is on her way. Literally singing in my ear all the way, about 20 miles, to their door, which she wants to climb to get in. Lol. Also, Amanda cares for my 5 horses and is my vet of choice, in Amanda's area, to refer my clients for the care of their horses. I have been privileged to observe and work with Amanda to heal a broken Percheron hoof. Literally broken, left hind lateral heel was gone! Amazing work and superior knowledge for the work at hand. Kyle has cared for our 2 dogs and 3 cats. Our cat's surgeries and care were superb. Kyle took the time to visit and impart information for the best care for our cats in our home, post op. We board our dogs with Oakdale when we go out of town or I'm on a business weekend. I take my little red boston terrier,Hazel to Oakdale and I can't begin to express how wonderful and thorough these people are. Dr. Amanda even bent down and let my pup shower her with kisses. After an accident involving one of my poor Hazel's eyes, Dr. made sure to prescribe what would be best for her and cover all of the bases. Hazel may not have all of her vision back in her eye eventually, but it's so comforting to know that we did everything in our power, and we have wonderful people here to help. Its hard to find a large animal vet these days. My horse, who is 26, needed some help with his lameness...more than I could give him. I called Oakdale ( my first time ), and was greeted with a super nice receptionist, who said the vet would call me back. Amanda, who her and her husband are both vets there, and own the business, called me very soon after that. The next day she came out to the house and looked at my horse. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy going, very intelligent, and super gentle with my horse she was. There is no hurry at all with her...always willing to chat about my horse. I had her out today for shots and checkup for my horse. I have to say, I have owned horses on and off for 5 years...this gal is the best! My animals are my family...I am so happy and greatful to have Amanda for our vet...and my horse loves her too. Prices are way more than fair!!
