Dr. Manyam managed to get me in to have my cat checked out same day since I'm moving cross country. Abbot is a very small operation, and I'm not even sure if Dr. Manyam has any assistants. From phone to greeting to care, Dr. Manyam did it all. Prices are more competitive than the animal welfare league, and also the vast majority of places in the area. To the other person who is accusing of Dr. Manyam of killing her dog with a tranquilizer, Dr. Manyam refused to give my cat Jazz a tranquilizer to clip her nails because she ate earlier in the day. So, that's a heavy accusation to levy against a licensed professional who is obviously passionate and skillful at what he does. I’m a retired Chicago Police Officer and live in the neighborhood. Dr. Manyam is an excellent veterinarian. I inherited my late mothers dogs, Sparky the Shi-Tsu mix and Pierre the poodle mix. He is very knowledgable and keeps vet bills lower by running a one man show. If he needs to do surgery, he will bring in an assistant. He was recommended to me by my neighbors, Louie and Rosa. This doctor was the most horrible human being I have ever met I will never ever take my pet there again!! I'm not sure what his name is but he had a very thick Indian accent and I will never ever take my pet back there I will make sure to spread the word to never ever ever go to that clinic again and I will do everything in my power to make sure this doctor gets reprimanded I will never ever let him look at my pet again he told me wrong information I will make sure his license gets taken away you best believe that!! he is the biggest pos I've ever met!!! I have been coming to Dr. Manyam for over 12 years and he is exceptional. Yes, his accent is a little hard to understand at times but he is straight up about what is wrong with your pet. He is honest and at an affordable price. I bring my 2 cats and dog here and he always answers my ridiculous questions with complete honesty. Although his hospital isn't the most technologically advanced, if needed he will send you somewhere else where you can receive proper service. I will never go anywhere else! Read Less

My family has been taking their pets here and no complaints. I just started taking my yorkie here. I was used to paying a lot with Petsmart and my dog did not get any better. This vet is the best he goes above and beyond for your pet. His fees are affordable. Lets you know the diagnosis right away. He is very precise and knowledgeable. Dr. Manyam is the best.  He's taken care of our cats and dog for the last 10 years, and he clearly cares more for the animals than the bottom line.  Several times we've been in and he didn't ask us to pay because it was such a minor thing.  (We still ended up giving him something because we value his time and opinion.)  He doesn't give you any BS, and his rates are so reasonable because he doesn't employ an office full of assistants.  Can't recommend him enough. We have been taking our dogs here for 5 years now and they have been great. He is very knowledgeable. One of our dog has some skin allergies and he has been the only doctor to actually get her skin back to normal. Also, he is very affordable when it comes to shots and treatments. Have been going to this vet for years and who has been pretty reliable, until now..... Scheduled appointments for my two dogs for their annual shots and please note that both dogs were healthy before going in.Everything seem to be normal but a couple of hours later the dogs started to react to the shots going from happy and playful to being drowsy and unwilling to eat. Asked several times what happen and what needs to be done to get them healthy and didn't know what happen and couldn't help them.One of the dogs got swallon eyes and continued not to eat and died 3 days after receiving his shots. The other dogs was also very sick and had extremely bad diarrhea and won't eat. Luckily he survived.This is what happened to my baby puppy. RIP. Read Less

Let me start off by saying that this vet is one of the best veternarians I have ever been to. The price is right and he is very knowledgable. I had taken my french bulldog to 2 different vets before I found Abbott. They both said my dog needed a $3,000.00 surgery. Abbott said that it was just a sprained knee and that a surgery was not necesary. A week later she was not limping anymore. Also shots are very cheap, spaying was atleast 150.00 cheaper than other vets. Ear cleaning also very affordable. The building is outdated and there are no frills, but that is how he passes the savings to the customer. All in all I recommend this place to anyone who has a pet. And with all the money you save you can get you dog groomed at one of the groomers on archer ;) Read Less

I have been coming to this clinic for over 5 years.  Dr. Manyam has saved two of my dogs from death.  He is one of the most respected vets in this area.  He is down to earth and speaks from the heart.  His prices are reasonable and he will not over prescibe medication for your animal.  I have a 16 year old toy poodle who is living a great and longer life because of the care she has received over the past few years.  Thank you Dr. M for being in our area and taking such wonderful care for our babies.
