Excellent staff Dr Dougherty and Dr Waller are great doctors for the animals, when our dog Sammy had a bad pancreatic   infection  Dr Dougherty pulled her through  Dr Waller is a great vet to they really know what they are talking about and Maureen and the office staff are wonderful people they really care about animals, we have been going there since 1968 when we got our first dog and never had any problems with service or any other problems I would definitely recommend   this place to anyone who is looking for a excellent vet to take their pet to Read Less

We starting coming to Ace almost 5 years ago already. Since then we've moved out of the area to Rogers Park but refused to go to any other vet. Ace Animal Hospital is amazing. We've been through some pretty difficult times with our two dogs and they've always been there to pinpoint the problem and treat them right away. They take the time to personally know each patient. They're literally family to us, I don't know what we'd do without them. Before Ace, we tried some other vets in the area but none of them gave our dogs the care and attention that Ace provides for them. The veterinarians and staff are the most compassionate people I have ever come across. We had to put our best friend down today due to bone cancer. The entire staff came in to say goodbye to our dog. I took my first cat here for years and just trusted this vet. But with my current cat I've had two upsetting experiences1) I brought her in so they could get a urine sample. They pumped her full of saline, took a small urine sample and then just kept her there. She was there all day and didn't pee. Not only did they not tell me this, but when they gave her back, they didn't put a puppy pad in her carrier. On the 3 minute drive home, she peed a day's worth of pee all over herself in her carrier with nothing to soak it up. My poor girl was drenched in her own urine when we got home. 2) I took her in to get her anal glands expressed. She's had this done at least 4 other times in her life,  in front of me, with no issues.  For some unknown reason, at this vet, they put a leather mask over her face before the procedure. Like...wtf? They didn't even have a good explanation for why they did this. She isn't some kind of rabid feral animal. She's a sweet, gentle domesticated cat who is supremely cooperative. It was completely uncalled for. Many years ago, we found a stray cat in our alley. She was spayed at this vet, and after that experience she became an extremely aggressive cat who would go crazy whenever she saw someone wearing gloves. I never wanted to believe they mistreated her but now I'm not so sure. I am never bringing another pet here again. Read Less

I have a dog with a seizure condition. After many frustrating years trying to get some help from my previous vet, I came here for a second opinion. I was so impressed with the compassion shown to my dog I switched vets that day. 9 months later my dog has been seizure free. Also their fees are very reasonable. I highly recommend this clinic.
