I have been bring my dogs to Beverly Hills Animal Hospital for about 23 years. Dr. Walsh is extrordinary! She has the magic touch with animals! My old dog, a 30 lb mixed breed. She lived to be 19 under Dr. Walsh’s care. Dr. Walsh just saved my 4 year old Beagles life. She was on her deathbed Friday night, Saturday morning. She was diagnosed by Dr. Walsh with Addsion’s disease. Addumison’s is a life long disease that can be well managed with steroids and a monthly shot. Not easily diagnosed because it mimics many other diseases. Ellie is acting like her playful little self. It is very important to have a Vet that has treated a dog with Addison’s. So glad to have Dr. Walsh. We also love Dr. Casey. She Is also wonderful! The staff is also extraordinary. Kind, knowledgeable and patient. Thanks to all, Ann Smith Read Less

Absolutely wonderful staff and doctors. Dr. Casey is a gem, working with me during my beloved dog's last months of her life. We were new to the neighborhood and I was sad to leave our previous vet. Dr. Casey was so great, leaving me extensive messages and updates on my Cookie's blood work, next steps and options. When it came time for her to cross the rainbow bridge, Dr. Casey helped us with kindness and sensitivity, and even the staff was so sweet. In our short time going there, they all knew her by name. They are very kind and good with dogs. I give 3 stars because they don't feel the need to return calls. I call with questions after being seen nobody ever returns my calls. This time Teddy is having bad allergies not a single medicine worked to get rid of the chronic licking & biting. I left 3 messages for doctors to give me a call that the medicines aren't working but they just want to keep seeing him in office. Frustrated we seen you already nothing was fixed. It didn't work. I am one of those neurotic dog-mom's and Dr. Walsh as well as the staff have been super patient and helpful in all of my hypochondriac moments! The prices are extremely reasonable as well as the prices for medications. Though the office is 14 miles away, we happily travel there and refer our friends to B.H.A.H as well. Our boxer boy has had a couple of health issues since getting him as a puppy, and Dr. Walsh has educated us about his conditions and treatments along the way. They also accommodated us by not using a specific drug we researched in his neutering. The staff is also very punctual in returning calls. We would highly recommend them! Read Less

My family has always gone to Dr. Walsh and now that I have my own we still go to her, and Dr. Casey too who is just is good. They're both top notch vets and their bed side manner is second to none. We had a cat that became very ill and Dr Walsh did everything possible to make us understand what was happening and what our options were; more so than even many MDs I've been to. If you've read my tips you'll know that Dr Walsh is outstanding. She truly cares about the animals and provides exceptional veterinary care. The other vets are good. I've been bringing my dogs here for nearly 15 years. Not only is the care great the prices are very good. Other vets charge upwards of 40 to 50 % more and will try to sell you unnecessary tests. Dr Walsh doesn't play that game. She's a vet not a car salesman. The staff is pretty good. Sometimes you'll deal with a person who is not on the ball but those times are few and far between. Parking can be tight but street parking is also available. Appointments book fast so don't hesitate. Should an emergency arise, Dr Walsh will get your pet in. You can't ask for much more. Simply my favorite Vet in Chicago land area. The vet is family oriented atmosphere and really cares about your animals , and the prices are the most reasonable I have seen since moving here from out of state. Also, I really appreciate the fact that I am educated on what my dog or cat is receiving treatment wise as well as being presented what other options are for treatment.Worth the 45 minute drive every trip! My dog was born with some health issues and have been seeing Dr. Walsh since we adopted her. She's now almost 7 and going strong. We recently had an issue where an object got lodged in her intestines. I wouldn't trust anyone else besides Dr. Walsh. She took excellent care of my fur baby and she is healing quite nicely! I have also seen Dr. Casey for visits and so has my mom for her dog. I would also recommend her. Both doctors have a great demeanor with their patients. There is a reason they book up so quick and the office is so busy! The techs are all so very patient, accommodating, and kind even with their heavy traffic in house and on the phone. Read Less

In April of 2013 my wife and I had to put our 13 year old dog down due to sickness and as bad as it hurt the people here were fantastic. The doc was patient and explained the process...stayed with us... even bringing us tissues as we boo hood our eyes out. After the process was over she let us sit with him and leave when we were ready...telling us we could worry about any costs at another time. Miserable experience made about as comfy as possible. Dr. Walsh has cared for our Golden for the last 10 years. She is compassionate, skillful, and readily accessible in case of an emergency. The animal hospital itself may look small on the outside, but it is fully equipped (X-ray machines, Ultrasound equipment, etc.) and most procedures/surgeries can be performed on the spot. Prices are very reasonable, lower than many other animal hospitals and vets. Oh - and did I mention that the staff was compassionate? When Dr. Walsh recently informed us of our pet's terminal condition, she was fighting back the tears - enough so that our Golden was trying to comfort the Vet! Love, Love, Love Dr. Walsh & Casey! I can tell that they care about our pets. Prices are wonderful! I used to get pretty upset with the front desk staff, but it seems something has changed and everyone has made me feel right at home lately. Sometimes there is quite a wait, but because I expect it and bring things to keep me busy I don't mind. Honestly, I know the wait is because the doctors spend as much time with the patients as possible. And I also know that when I go in, I'll get my time as well. I never feel rushed out. It's pretty clear the doctors stay much longer than their closing hours. Lastly, I'm always happy with the response time when I call in with simple questions. Cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Walsh. She is a true animal lover and so very compassionate. She has been our vet for many many years. When the most difficult time came to put down our dog (he was 18 years old), she came in on a Sunday, never rushed us or made us feel like we were invading her day off. The level of compassion she has is unmatched. She pets and face rubs every animal as if they are her own. She is gentle and kind. Beyond her great care, her costs are extremely reasonable. In fact it has been on at least more than one occasion that my family has asked her, "Really Dr. Walsh, when are you going to raise your prices?" To which she will just smile. You leave there always thinking your services and attention to your animal far surpass the cost you are charged. Recently she has added a couple additional doctors to the practice. Whenever it is not Dr. Walsh seeing your pet, you do secretly wish it were, but her new colleagues are very sweet and knowledgeable as well. No one matches Dr. Walsh, but I must say I have never been disappointed with the care received by anyone in her office. We started going to Beverly Hills after we were displeased with the vet in Blue Island. My parents were taking both of their dogs and more recently I began taking my puppy.I was prompted to write this review after our oldest dog passed away. I woke up to her having a violent seizure on the kitchen floor- called the vet and they said to bring her in.When we arrive I was a total basket case. When I opened the door they immidiately took her in the back for me and brought me a box of tissues. When the vet came in to discuss our options it was clear that there was only one.They brought her in and put her on a blanket. They said I could take as much time as I needed after she was gone and when we were leaving the staff was SO NICE. A testament to the kind of people that this place has as customers is worth noting. There were others in the waiting room who did not complain that we were seen first and instead were asking how I was and what was going on.Last week we received a sympathy card from the vet. I cant tell you how horrible the experience was but how comforted I felt by the professionalism and compassion that the staff had for me and my pet. Thank you to everyone there for making a difficult situation much easier for me and my pet.p.s. Prices for services are resonable unlike most vets in this area. Dr. Walsh's reputation in this area is that her expertise is phenomenol and matched only by her compassion. Unfortunately, her staff is a different story. A number of my friends who have taken their pets to Dr. Walsh have told me they're ready to walk because of long (sometimes 4 hour) wait times and the RUDE staff. Who is managing her office? Who is training these employees?When I was in vet tech school, I tried to contact Dr. W. a number of times about shadowing but could never get past the gatekeepers at the front desk. It's one thing if they have a policy about not letting prospective techs shadow, although they said, "Oh, she'll call you back!" and she never did. I have to assume she never got the message, which reflects badly on her staff, or that they really don't want "outsiders" seeing what goes on in the back. Hmm! I am not the only person who has had this experience. One of my friends was treated like a leper when she asked if she could drop off a resume--this was a CVT with 15 yrs. experience as a tech, greatly loved by her co-workers, who wanted something closer to home. She was shocked at the receptionist's response. Dr. Walsh, if you read this, you should know that adding a CVT to your staff will help you reduce your workload, your wait times will decrease, and you can set a higher standard of professionalism. But you will probably never know that so many CVT's have heard about you and would love the chance to shadow, extern or work with you. The "girls at the desk" don't know what they're doing and would rather sabotage your business than help it grow. I tell this to tech students who ask about your practice: don't bother. Read Less

Dr. Walsh is the best. Her staff is not.We have a dog that was recently suffering badly from Lymes disease. We called after treatment because he wasnt getting better, and they never called us back. 3 days later I called again, and it took them another day to get an answer. I called once more and again they failed to return the call. I ended up going to Summit Animal Shelter and my pup is fine 1 week later.I have all the respect in the world for Doctor Walsh. She truly is an amazing vet with passion and a gentle mothers touch. I'm not sure if I will return. The doctor at Summit works literally 24/7 and does a great job. Read Less
