Good for day-to-day care or routine procedures. Not good/inexperienced for advanced/serious issues. This is hard to write, because it surfaces many painful memories. I will say this: when things are going well/healthy with your pet, it's easy to give clinics 4-5 stars. I would have done so with this clinic, when our pet was healthy. But when the going gets tough, that's when you really see the heart and soul of every business and person. And sometimes, it's lacking. The place is very polite and nice at first, but as you become a regular patient over the years, you see what the clinic is really like. At least one of the receptionists is very unpleasant and difficult. She's particularly grumpy and seems unhappy to work. It makes an already stressful situation more stressful. The receptionists nickle-and-dime you for everything, even things they were told not to. We brought our pets here, and one underwent frequent, extensive, and expensive care. Every time we visited, the bills would be at least 150. We were good customers/pet parents and often paid in cash. We didn't think anything was wrong with their price points--but we did think there was something wrong with the receptionists charging for 3-4 syringes to feed with (around .10 cents each), when the vet said we would not be charged multiple times. The vet wanted us to have these, to help our pet. But the receptionist's contrary behavior gave us the feeling that since it seemed like we could easily pay, that she charged for everything she could--even things the vet said not to. It made us really sad, because the clinic made the experiences feel like complete transactions without any compassion. We aren't just paying for everything because we can--we're doing it because we love our pets, and we want to help them in any way we can. We want our clinics to love our pets and really care for them, when they're not doing well. I will say that the clinic owner is professional and helpful, but the issue is you don't get to see him frequently. We've made appointments with him and had multiple canceled or put with someone else, because something else came up for him. Specifically, the receptionist usually said "something else more pressing." Very disheartening, when our own little pet child was very sick, too. When our pet passed away, this clinic wasn't there for us. No one made themselves available to check one last time, do a necropsy, and no one ever called us to check in afterwards... which was hurtful, since this was the regular place of care, and we came so many times. In the end, we just felt like a number and that once our pet was gone, they didn't care anymore, because we would no longer be paying all these bills. We stopped coming here after this. It felt like a complete business and not a compassionate place that loves animals and remembers their patients. They are there with you in the good/easy times but not the bad. It was hard writing this because it surfaces bad memories, and also we did like the owner... but he was just too busy most of the time and other "more pressing things" always came up. I felt other Yelpers should know this. I don't want others to go through the additional pain we did, on top of our pet suffering. Read Less
