Kragness Animal Hospital

Chicago, Illinois
General Info
Kragness Animal Hospital, based in Chicago, plays a significant role in the local veterinary community. Kragness Animal Hospital in Chicago prioritizes preventive medicine and detailed diagnostics to minimize uncertainties and ensure consistently measurable outcomes in Illinois. During appointments, veterinarians analyze the critical information provided by owners regarding any needs for medical conditions, restrictions on mobility, or activities. During physical symptom evaluation, which targets specific symptoms for early warning or treatment success identification, healthcare professionals also perform weight, skin condition and dental checks. The clinic offers solutions for pet health, such as flea-tick prevention and vaccination programs, in addition to blood testing, urinalysis and wellness programs. In advanced cases, diagnostic tools (such as radiographs), orthopedic support, and specialist therapy referrals are critical for patient management. Medical practitioners utilize a precise, step-by-step process based on up-to-date research to address thyroid imbalance, food intolerance, arthritis, and chronic skin irritation. Kragness Animal Hospital specialists also analyze the documentation, which is constantly updated, to monitor an animal’s progress and modify treatment accordingly. Each care plan identifies when a patient needs to be assessed by the nursing team or vet practice and the key things an owner should be monitoring for at home. The process fosters inter-visit communication and empowers owners to report any changes proactively. Kragness Animal Hospital aims to eradicate diagnostic ambiguity and establish common understanding between the patient and veterinarian. The clinic supports Chicago pets and families with professional insight and flexible plans to ensure both immediate recovery and lifelong management programs across Illinois. Popular services offered at the facility include vaccinations, prescription medication, surgery, microchipping, grooming, and boarding—all with a focus on personalized and professional care. From routine wellness care to more complex health issues, the professional team strives to build trust and confidence through open communication and high-quality services. The team is committed to growth and community engagement so that pets across Chicago and the broader United States region have access to quality care. The clinic also takes pride in educating pet owners about the best care practices.

It's a decent animal hospital but VERY expensive in my opinion. Dr. Kragness is a very nice doctor but the staff is kinda iffy. My dog gets nervous and hostile whenever he's there but they did a great job of treating his ailment. He had trouble hobbling on his hind leg. They had to treat it on 2 separate occasions by giving him pills which were very expensive but worked perfectly. I plan to take him back soon to get his checkup and find out more about his condition with his leg. But I may still decide to take my business elsewhere to ensure my dog feels more comfortable and to avoid higher costs. Read Less
