I have been a client of Dr. Basran and his staff since the early days of his practice. (1 dog, 7 cats over the years). His care is thorough and gentle, moderate in price. He showed much kindness in the situations where my aging pets required being put to sleep. Yes, the waiting room could use an update, but I'd rather have my fees go to good care. When a pet has needed to stay, staff was friendly and allowed me to visit. Dr. Basran will be my vet as long as he is in practice.

I was horrified by the smell and dirtiness. The only sink is in the back, which looked like a small warehouse room where the animals were housed. My cat had a UTI and the vet a provided prompt, same-day visit at a low cost. The friendly "vet tech" looked 15, said she was in high school, appeared to have no training in animal care, and spoke little English.
My cat developed a complete urinary blockage a few days later, which required an invasive procedure and an ICU elsewhere. I don't know if better care at Logan Square Animal Hospital could have prevented that.
I would never take an animal to this location again unless I could not afford to take them anywhere else (the cost is indeed quite low). If it were a human health care facility, it would get shut down immediately.

I want to thank the Doctor, Staff and Doctor assistants for taking such great care of my puppy Bradley. He had a blockage, he was dehydrated, hadn’t eaten and couldn’t eat anything. My puppy swallowed a sock and it blocked him. He could’ve died. I’m so grateful to have been referred to this office by my friend. I called the office on Sunday night left a message and the Doctor called me Sunday night and told me to bring him in first thing Monday morning. They performed various tests, they kept him overnight and the Doctor took such great care of him and didn’t release him until he was 100% sure he was able to come home. He gave me post care instructions and had me bring him in the 4th day just to make sure he was ok. Bradley is my baby, he just celebrated his Birthday 2 years old and he’s the best Doberman. Very healthy. Super active With the biggest Heart. Thank you again for caring for my puppy, even Bradley was happy to see the Doctor and staff when we went in. ♥️♥️♥️

I took my 10 year old bichon poodle for a first time sick visit to Logan square animal hospital. Had a wait of about 15 mins and was seen by the vet. They discussed the diagnosis and treatment options before starting any treatment. My dog is doing better.
Best thing about the place is its affordability and that they accept walk ins till 30 mins prior to closing time.

I've taken our dog here a few times and after a number of bad experiences I won't be going back. The assistants are okay (hence 2 stars) but the vet is a crook. I grew up on a farm and know a lot about what is and isn't necessary. They'll try to maximize the level of treatment required to upsell you, then when you object will go through and begin changing the prices and crossing things out. They won't tolerate polite questions and do a terrible job at explaining the diagnosis and potential treatments. They can't even clip claws properly. They cut the quick on 3 claws and won't work through his anxiety with the process. They just pin him down and cut the claws way too short to the point of bleeding all over the place. They tried to have him put on a drip overnight for a minor stomach upset that was fixed immediately with antibiotics. That's clearly all he needed, but they quoted so many unnecessary treatments which totaled nearly $1000. When I said all that I thought was necessary were antibiotics he actually agreed with me and sent me off with those. Dog was fine within 2 days. There are some terrible vets in Chicago and this is one of the worst I've dealt with. They have no set prices and seem fine with haggling. It doesn't seem like the kind of place where this should be acceptable. Chicago pet clinic seems much better.

My cat was trying to give birth and after 6 hrs of labor and waiting for her to deliver her babies I took her in to Logan Square Animal Hospital. The receptionist was very kind when I called in to see if I had to make an appointment, when I showed up the staff was very pleasant and very understanding.
I have to say thank you DR G.S BASRAN, DVM, I am grateful and I appreciate you helping out my cat. My cat need immediate surgery, DR G.S BASRAN kept me posted on my cat and her babies. After all this my cat and her babies are doing great! I highly recommend this place, DR BASRAN, and his staff. Thank you so much for saving my cat and her babies! I recently adopted my 3 year old dog. He's the sweetest thing ever just Xl. I went to the vet to see if he would do a check up since he was coughing and his legs had sores from being in the cage for so long. As soon as the vet saw him you could see the fear in his eyes. He had 2 assistants to help him but the vet didn't even touch my dog! He started telling me my dog needed 2 vaccines that where never administered as well as other things. Then the assistant started trying to put the mussel on while waving it in his face. Because of this, my dog got aggressive so they stopped and tried a couple minutes later but he didn't like it anymore. The vet decided that he needed to sedate him to do the check up. He was going to charge me almost $400 just to do everything he said my dog needed, when I only went for him to check the cold and the leg sores. I told him I didn't want to sedate him I just wanted cold medicine. He ended up charging me $130 for medicine and the "check up" which my dog never got!

Went in for the first time today. My visit was somewhat urgent, so I called this morning to set up an appointment. They told me to just come on in. I got there and they were immediately welcoming. I filled out the necessary forms and they called my cat and I in after very little waiting. Dr. Konstantinov and the staff were all incredibly accommodating and great with my cat. Although in an unfamiliar setting, my cat stayed incredibly calm. Until today, I don't think I've ever seen a vet successfully get his temperature rectally. My cat was prescribed with the antibiotics he needed and the cost wasn't bad at all. I will definitely go back and would be happy to recommend Logan Square Animal Hospital to others.

I took my 10 year old bichon poodle for a first time sick visit to Logan square animal hospital. Had a wait of about 15 mins and was seen by the vet. They discussed the diagnosis and treatment options before starting any treatment. My dog is doing better.
