I took my dog today because he kept itching a lot. The vet that attended my dog was very knowledgable and was able to diagnose what was wrong with my dog right away. Took my cat in thinking he had a blockage or he had some got into some poison. The vet diagnosed him with a fever. Gave him a shot of penicillin and some antibiotics. He felt better within in 4 or 5 hours. And also it didn't charge me a arm and a leg either. $80 for the whole experience.Read Less

Not sure how my first review was flagged for violating the Terms of Service but lets try this again. This is a no frills veterinary office. Not quite the Best Western but better than Motel 6 (haha) That being said though this office will take fantastic care of your pet. Whether it be general health, spay/neuter or ear cropping this place is wonderful. I have seen many people come in with dire situations come in begging for help for their animals and every time they were allowed a payment plan or some other form of help for their pets. Dr. Koshy truly cares for animals and their humans. They seem to specialize in pit breeds - there's pits there every time I've ever been. I did get my dog's ears cropped here and have no complaints. I took my dog thumper there to get his first shots and get his ears cropped. He did great! I love stressed. Although it looks a little ghetto on the outside u can tell they know about my breed. Also the only thing I didn't like was that other places keep your pet over night or at least give give them medication and a cone....anyway I love stresser Read Less

This animal hospital is very good. You will be kind of scared at first because it does ot look like your typical high class vet office. Its outdate and a little dirty out front but eveything looks nice and clean and sanatized when you get in the room. They are not like other vets that try and offer you every pet product ever invented just to get money out of you. Hes easily accessible, very resonable prices, and not pushy at all! Wow, what can I say about Stresser...Well, I've been there twice. The vets, Dr. Koshy, are very nice and I like them a lot, helpful, knowledgeable, and of course cheap....  It must be a tough job being a vet, especially here with the population they serve tends to not be the most educated on pet ownership, and clients having a tough time with money.  They are known for doing a lot of ear crops and I hear they are good at it. It's literally the oldest animal hospital in Chicago, and it looks it. It's old, rusted, ok I'll just say it- it's pretty ghetto.  If you are used to Lincoln Park businesses like me, you may be a little culture shocked.  Before I even walked in, I heard crazy aggressive barking from the street.  I walk in to two Hispanic guys each beating their pit bulls and the dogs are going completely nuts trying to attack anyone who's in the waiting area, and the dog's not even on a leash.  It's not the vet's fault though.  The vets have him go straight to a room. Lots of pit bulls. And many of the owners don't train or socialize their dogs. Another Pit was covered in mange, another had injuries. This is NOT the fault of the business, it's just to give you an idea.Like I said, nothing fancy.  But they gave me the medication I needed for a dog and it worked out fine.
