This place is the real deal -- affordable compared to other vets we've been to, and they take great pains to be considerate and transparent about costs. I love coming in here to bring my little furbrats when they aren't feeling their best. The staff is always friendly and genuine in their concern about the four-legged brats. Dr. Miller is always very thorough with her assessment and the recommendations for treatment gets them to bounce back to their bratty selves. Excellent! I would recommend them to everyone! My son has autism and he took his Service Dog there and they treated him with dignity and respect. They also were very accommodating in helping him fill out forms. It meant a lot to my son to take the dog by himself and they made him feel very comfortable. It had admittedly been too long since I took my dog to the vet and finally did so after finding a small lump on her chest. Dr. Monica Lachowsky and Yesenia immediately put me at ease: super friendly, non-judgmental, easy to talk with. Dr. Lachowsky quickly discovered Olive's lump was just some fat and gave me some options to help with my mature dog's rising knee issues. I couldn't get over what a wonderful and non-scary experience we had during our visit and I am over the moon happy to have found such a wonderful place to take care of my dog moving forward. I had a cat emergency and didn’t know where to go. Two friends recommended Village West. I made an appointment for the afternoon. When I found my girl barely moving and breathing quickly overnight I realized she needed help right away. They got me in early and took me straight back to an examination room. The vet tech and vet were very kind and compassionate. They gave her a quick exam and confirmed what I suspected. We discussed options focusing on quality of life. Dr. Silverman is the vet with the healing hands!! He was the only vet of 5 vets (my cat had gone to 4 vets prior to my first visit with him) that did not suggest putting him down. I believe he saw the will in my cat to live as did I and offered suggestions to keep him alive. We are now exactly a month in and my 17 year old kitty is still alive and kicking. Just love Dr. Silverman. He has a special intuitive way with all my kits. When Sophie kitty was sick, he helped her survive peacefully for at least 2 1/2 years before she was ready to go home. We arrived after hours, as arranged with Dr. Silverman. The lights were down, and Sophie was sleeping. Dr. Silverman was so gentle with her that I actually felt her gratitude at being released from her pain. I am grateful to Dr. Silverman for helping her to live a good life until she was ready to go. She was very special. We bring our other two cats, Gabby Hayes and Suzy to see Dr. Silverman now. Suzy was a street cat with diabetes. Dr.Bruce has helped us control her blood sugar. I have been to Village West Veterinary twice with my two kittens. Both times they were seen by Dr. Warren, and I had a great experience with her. She is patient, and really takes the time to listen to my concerns. She also takes the time to examine my two kittens. Dr. Warren and the vet tech help to put my kittens at ease during their many vaccinations which I know can be challenging. I would definitely recommend this vet center. I have a rambunctious newly adopted rescue dog who has a long way to go in terms of realizing that not every human and animal wants to be his new best friend. At 45 lbs he can be a handful when excited. The staff at Village West Veterinary were very understanding and helpful. It took 3 of us to corral him so he could get his vaccines and be thoroughly checked out but they got it done with a smile on their faces. I was able to make the appointment on short notice and they gave me lots of helpful information on options for heartworm and flee and tick prevention. They are the most compassionate caring vets I ever had the pleasure of taking my dog to. I highly recommend this vet to anyone who wants good care for their beloved animal. They had the best after care when my Chihuahua got attacked by a pitbull. She was elderly and lasted 5 more years. Then I consistently took her there to get her anal glands expressed every few months. I moved away and other vets were not the same. So I took the trip to take her back to the great care of village west vet. The staff is amazing! I GREATLY appreciate the tender loving care they showed my sweet baby. Super thorough and Dr. Silverman really takes his time getting to know my pets as they just had their first visit yesterday! Never did we feel rushed or pressured into unnecessary treatments and testing that I have experienced at other vets. Brett at the front desk was very kind and welcoming. Loved my experience here! Took my cats here for a wellness visit and vaccines and they were very thorough and patient with all my questions as I am a first time pet owner. I thought the prices were reasonable and they didn't try to push anything unnecessary on me.
