We highly recommend Chillicothe Veterinary Clinic. Everyone is always welcoming, friendly, and understanding, and want the best for our pets. Dr. Deckert is easy to talk to, and is great at determining what's going on with our pets' health and explaining treatment options. She's professional, yet empathic, and we know we can count on her to recommend a realistic course of action.

Oh my God! I took my cat in to be put down. Dr. Decker decided she should PROVE to me he was dead. Opened my baby's eyelid and said, "See, his brain is dead," as she showed me his clouded eye! Disgust...
Oh my God! I took my cat in to be put down. Dr. Decker decided she should PROVE to me he was dead. Opened my baby's eyelid and said, "See, his brain is dead," as she showed me his clouded eye! Disgusting treatment as I was crying my eyes out!!!!
Never go to this place!!!!! Lies, deceit, overpriced! Showing me my cat's dead vacant eye is CLOSURE!!!!!! What an idiotic explanation. No DOCTOR has ever done this before when my babies die!!! AND THEY DEFEND IT!!!
Check out the response!!!! They defend this behavior! Opening his eyelid and showing me the vacant dead look!!!! She defends thus disgusting behavior.
Then they lie!!! No one ever called me.!

I found the clinic to be very clean well-lit and did not smell bad. The staff was a bit distant to a new client (me) but I found my previous vet, Dr. Lora Deckert and trust her completely with my fur...
I found the clinic to be very clean well-lit and did not smell bad. The staff was a bit distant to a new client (me) but I found my previous vet, Dr. Lora Deckert and trust her completely with my furry babies. She has a good rapport with clients and their animals. very good with cats!

I have used Chilli Vet since Dr John Calhoun opened his practice in the little "taco" shop on 29. They have always been great to us! When our 1st 2 boxers were each going through separate cancer diagnoses, I could not have asked more of them. John has always made himself available to us whenever. Now with Dr. Deckhart and Dr Libby, we have more great vets to choose from! And thank you to John and everyone for taking such good care, without hesitation, of our my rescue's most recent intake Bruce.

My boy loves Vicki! He isn't a fan of going to the vet, but he lights up when he sees Vicki!

We have been very happy with the care that the chillicothe vet clinic had provided to our dogs molly and Murphy. Our dogs get nervous at the vets and they are always very patient with them!

I have used Chilli Vet since Dr John Calhoun opened his practice in the little "taco" shop on 29. They have always been great to us! When our 1st 2 boxers were each going through separate cancer diagnoses, I could not have asked more of them. John has always made himself available to us whenever.
