Colona Animal Health Center

Colona, Illinois
General Info
Pet owners in Colona know that the caring professionals at Colona Animal Health Center are there to help. Colona Animal Health Center sets up pet care frameworks through consistent touchpoints and milestone-based wellness, borrowing from other successful Illinois models. During appointments, owners provide detailed updates that encompass any observed behavioral changes, appetite shifts, energy levels, sleep patterns, and new environmental exposures. Veterinarians perform an all-around body examination on every pet that assesses the history, weight, oral condition, hydration levels, joint range of motion and the vital signs. Looking at the previous visits’ records helps formulate questions and predict possible problems. Colona Animal Health Center offers services such as wellness checkups with parasite testing and vaccinations, chronic care consultation with dental scaling and nutritional planning, as well as diagnostic labs. Healthcare timing strategies frequently coincide with the higher-risk seasons for specific conditions, such as arthritis checks in colder months, skin assessments during allergy cycles, and tick prevention alongside outdoor activity seasons. Plans are matched to pet lifestyle and risk profile. After each visit, owners receive summary packets and have access to the animal’s logs, prescriptions, nutrition tracking, and future care milestones on the website. Multi-pet homes and pets with mobility limitations due to age have a variety of adjustable options. Return plans could also include at-home recheck plans and logs, as well as timed reminders. Colona Animal Health Center transforms health and wellness practices into lifestyle habits. Pet care routines grow with your pet and build confidence in Colona and nearby Illinois regions. Popular services include laboratory, diagnostics, orthopedic surgery, pet euthanasia, vaccinations, dental care, preventive medicine, and surgery. Whether it is routine or a more complex medical condition, pet owners feel confident in the way their pets are treated because the facility strives to meet the set standards. The team remains dedicated to continuous growth and community involvement to ensure that pets in Colona and throughout the United States have access to high-quality services.

My animals annual exam was a joke. The vet only looked into my dog and cats ears, eyes and mouth. She did not use an otoscope or even a stethoscope to listen to their heartbeats. I let the vet know my dog has been scratching at his ears and would well out if I went to touch and look in them. She informed me he had an ear infection without even running a culture test. Two weeks on his antibiotics and my dog was still in pain and decided to try a new vet. It turns out he had allergies and needed a different form of medication. My animals annual exams are at different times of the year so they did not go together and both appointments my animals received poor exams. I would NOT recommend them. Read Less
