Highly qualified doctors and staff for your dog or cat. We drove 110 miles each way to get help for our dog, who has early onset cataracts. We obtained very professional service and advice. They discourage us from obtaining a surgical solution based on the risks for the breed of our dog. We were advised to use a specific schedule or eye drops to reduce problems associated with the eyes. We have been there several times resulting in a significant improvement for our dog. A friendly staff and professional people that you can trust. Read Less

I called and left a voice mail on there after hours messages at approx 6:30-7:00 pm from my Vets office and asked them to call me for an appointment the next day (Friday). I never received a call back so I called them at approx 10:30 am on Friday. I was told that they were completely booked and I needed to prepay the cost of the cost and exam ( be aware of this and have everything on hand and ready because the receipt is not friendly or understanding.) The cost is $195.00 plus approx $95.00 and because they never called me back to schedule on Friday an additional charge of $500.00 for an Emergency visit charge needed to be prepaid as well. (THIS WAS SO WRONG AND THERE MISTAKE) Wait ii gets even better. I called my Vet to see if my dog could wait till Mon. she said she would handle and ER type problems and Monday would be ok but Fri would be better. She gave me another Specialist to call. I told the girl if I scheduled on Monday and needed to cancel the appointment because I got my dog into another place how long would I have to cancel the appointment "she said until Sun at 3:00 pm and here's the kicker. Leave a message on the same voicemail number I had left the message on Thurs night that they said they never received." I explained how does that work since you never called me back. Her reply " All calls are Dated and Timed on a Message Center Line" (keep in mind this appointment would have to be prepaid as well.) When asked how come she couldn't find my call on that Message Center her reply was simply because I Can't. Needless to say I didn't and would never go there and the Crestwwod office is a joke! Its schedule only one day a month and booked out for months. Yes, I got my dog in on Friday Thank God at the MedVet on N Clyborn in the city. They were Great and took Excellent Care of my dog and answered all my questions and guess what NO EMERGENCY FEE! They really care about your pet. This place seems to be more about the $$$$. SO SAD! Phone Staff: 1 star.  The Crestwood phone staff could use major improvement with how they convey themselves.  They are very snippy and unkind on the phone on two separate occasions.  I go off of "vibes" and I got a bad vibe from this place just from the phone conversations.  They exude they don't care over the phone, which harms the perception of the Doctor.  Phrases like "Are you ready for this?" when telling me a price list.  I'm ready for the price but not the curt comments.  Uncaring attitudes by two separate people answering the phones.  I will not support an office with uncaring receptionist staff.    I decided to schedule with the same company in Naperville and the receptionist was very thorough and kind!  Her name was Kelly.  She was compassionate and gave me additional information.  She spent about 17 mins on the phone with me before I scheduled the appointment with Dr. Lindley.  Thank you, Kelly!  At least some people care!Dr. Lindley Review:  5 stars. Update: My dog had the cryoepilation procedure done with Dr. Lindley in Naperville.  This Dr. did a superb job diagnosing and describing the problem (eye distichia in my poodle mix).  She was thorough and down to business, and showed compassion.  The Naperville staff including Dr. Lindley, Bruce the assistant, and the two other ladies whose names escape me, were extremely thorough and detail-oriented.  They were compassionate knowing we consider our dog as a daughter.  My dog is recovering well so far.  Thank you all!  FYI: All their offices charge $195 initial exam to book and "hold" the first appointment.  I don't mind, it's chump change compared to what the surgery or procedure bill will be.  Refundable if you cancel more than 24 hours before the appointment time.  I find this acceptable due to people always canceling appointments, I'm sure. I had a terrible experience with the service. I can't rate the vets since my dog never saw the vet, but they did refuse to see the dog. First off, the first thing they wanted was a credit card number to make an appointment. We figured it was like some places that take the card info in case you don't pay, so it wasn't a big deal. But the next day the card was already charged for the office visit and the appointment was a week away, this did raise a flag with us. The day of the appointment arrives and I was a bit early and they let me know they were not happy with that. I waited in line for my turn and the staff asked for the dogs name, then she calls someone else up and starts to take care of both of us at the same time. I guess I wasn't worthy of her undivided attention, as a matter of fact she asked a question of the other person and i thought she was talking to me so I answered and she said to me"I wasn't talking to you". I was taken aback by that, and I got a really bad feeling about this place. Then I told them I was not going to sign the service agreement, which is not a service agreement since it did not list any services or fees. A service agreement usually lists the services that you will receive & the fees; you sign it accepting the services and terms, this agreement had no services or pricing at all. I never sign an open ended agreement, I want to know what I am agreeing to before I sign. The agreement also says that the client waves the right to a jury trial if there is any dispute between the client and the vets. Huge red flag. When I told them I would not sign the agreement but I had the ability to pay for all the services on that same day, they refused to see my dog. I then asked them to credit back the charges to my credit card and they said they could not do that and I would have to call Chris at the business office in Elgin. I called Chris from the parking lot. The person that answered the phone, don't remember her name, was pretty rude. I asked to speak to Chris and she asked as to what the call pertained to. I told her the story and her response was "I find that hard to believe"; I asked what that means and she said nothing, but I pushed her and asked if she thought I was lying. She said "no", but the office personal at the vets office could do the refund. I I told her that they told me I had to talk to Chris, so she gave me to Chris. I told Chris the story and she said she would refund the credit card. I then told her about my experience and the reply of "I find that hard to believe". I asked why would you talk to your clients or customers in such a manner, she had no answer but said she would talk to the person. I can't rate how they treat animals, but they treat people like crap. I think that may be an indicator of the animal care. It seems to me that they cared more about the money than the animal. I am a business owner and would never treat any of my clients in such a manner. I would recommend that you not take your animals to this place. Read Less

I'll start this review with a little story about the eye history of my 15-year-old pug, Hal. Hal's a grand guy--the type of fella you'd bring home to mom. Well, you may not know it, but Hal was born with an eye problem. That's right, missy.  He was born with a bad case of "bug eyes" (at least I believe that that's the technical term). As a young owner (I was only 10 at the time), I didn't know what to do with this little pug puppy with buggin' eyes, so I turned to Dr. Denise Lindley--who shall heretofore be known simply as "Miracle Worker".  Miracle Worker wrung her hands over little Hal and nervously told me that if something wasn't done quickly, the poor little guy's eyes could pop right out of his head. Either that or they could dry up and he'd be blind. I can't really remember now, but the specifics of the situation are trivial. So Miracle Worker decided to perform an "eye tuck" on Hal. The results were successful and Hal's new, enlarged eyelids completely covered his bug eyeballs and his eyesight was saved.Today, Hal takes eye drops every day and returns to Animal Eye Consultants every year for his annual checkup in January. He's nearly blind..,...but that's because he's 15 and has typical old-pug cataracts. In fact, Miracle Worker has offered to remove Hal's cataracts, but at this point in his long life, I think he'd doing just fine the way he is.As for the clinic itself, the staff are very friendly and the place is IMMACULATE! My mom recently complimented Dr. Lindley on her hardwood floor and ended up buying the exact same one for her kitchen. So kudos for good taste in decor.***Major points for outright adorableness at Animal Eye Consultants: Picture a little pug sitting in a human-sized optometry chair and looking through those giant lense-thingies, just like at a regular eye doctor's office. That's Hal. Read Less
