Welcome to Heartland Equine Health Center. Since 1983, we have been providing ambulatory veterinary care for horses in Springfield, Illinois and surrounding areas. Starting in March 2010, we are proud to be able to also offer in-hospital services at our clinic location in Curran, Illinois. In addition to continuing our well-established mobile practice providing preventative care, emergency services, and healthcare needs such as surgery, dentistry, reproductive care, pre-purchase exams and lameness evaluations to Springfield and the surrounding communities, the new clinic enables us to offer services to a larger area, provide more in-depth diagnostics and treatments.

I recommend Heartland to everyone I know. Its been roughly about 3 months since I took my 18yr old mare that I thought I was going to have to put down for lameness. Since going to Heartland I don't have to get my mare up from laying down every night and morning, she is no longer limping, and even started to put weight on. They did a very extensive exam along with some radiographs. I was very happy when I left and I am now extremely happy that my mare can "play" with my other horses.

I use HEHC as a traveling veterinary service and I have been very happy with the services that Dr Boyce has provided to my horses. These have included lameness diagnoses and treatment, and dental work, plus provision of prescription treatments as and when they are needed. Unlike most traveling vets, Dr Boyce is reliably on time and brings what she needs with her. I like that she is approachable and happy to explain every step of a particular procedure. She also has top-notch portable diagnostic tools available. The level of diagnosis and treatment has always been reasoned and appropriate. Dr Boyce is smart, knowledgeable, practical, and honest with the kind of integrity that is becoming rare. I would recommend her services to anyone.

I recommend Heartland to everyone I know. Its been roughly about 3 months since I took my 18yr old mare that I thought I was going to have to put down for lameness. Since going to Heartland I don't have to get my mare up from laying down every night and morning, she is no longer limping, and even started to put weight on. They did a very extensive exam along with some radiographs. I was very happy when I left and I am now extremely happy that my mare can "play" with my other horses.
