I first started going to the Downers Grove Animal Clinic decades ago when Dr. Jobe was there, and most recently when Dr. Rand Gustafson (Doctor Gus) was there. I chose to bring my fifteen year old dog Brandy to Dr. Gus at the Darien Animal Clinic because he was very knowledgeable, and he helped Brandy with the various ailments she has had over the years, and he seemed to like her and care about her. As the saying goes, clients don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.

The wait has never been long and the treatment has always been exceptional.

I love this staff!!!!! Everybody there is terrific!!! Dr. Kay is my puppies PCP but I have seen others depending on the needs of my dogs. When I call the office, it doesn't matter who answers the phone, they make me feel as if I'm their BFF. I understand they see some pretty upsetting cases, I know I have brought them a few. Their compassion for every case is amazing!!! I know all of these cases take a toll on your heart but thank you for not letting it get to you!!! Keep doing what you are best at!!!

We have taken our pets to the Darien Animal Clinic for over 25 years. We would not take our beloved family members any where else. The office staff is friendly, caring and efficient. The doctors are outstanding. They are thorough, current in their knowledge and always, always have the best interests of their patients in mind. We have taken four dogs there over the years - one lived to be 18.5, one lived to be 16 and we are still living happily and healthfully with the other two...thank you Dr. Morris and staff!

They truly listen to your concerns, and do everything they can to put you and your pet at ease. Best of all, they treat your pet as they would treat their own! THANK YOU DARIEN ANIMAL CLINIC!!!

I give Darien Animal Clinic 5 Stars!!! They have seen our pets for 20 years, and they treat everyone like family. The staff gets you in quickly for appts., takes you to an exam room quickly after your arrival, explains all exams & procedures thoroughly, and doesn't rush you through your appointment! Lastly, I have one "difficult" dog who they treat with love & kindness, even though he is very nervous. Thank you to all the vets, since we've seen them all, and we appreciate all you do!!!

This clinic is in a very convient location however-location is the only thing I think they may have going for them. The building is far too small for its own good, the parking lot is dangerous as it is only one way and lets directly out to a busy street-to get in you have to walk down the side of the building onto the driveway, and theres is zero handicap accessibility. I must say that this is the first hospital that I didn't have to wait to see the doctor and it's a good thing I didn't because the chairs in the waiting area look like they came from Goodwill. Inside the exam room you are going to find the about the same amount of bland as in the waiting area only this time you are downgraded to plastic chairs from the 70's now I wish I had to wait....The doctor greeted my dog before she greeted me which I thought was a little odd since I'm the one paying her. Upon checkout talk about STICKER SHOCK! I originally came in for a routine checkup and vaccinations and it turned out that I needed medication as well but holy cow I was not prepared for the price! The college aged manager was at the desk and offered up a rebuttal for my reaction and tried to jokingly ease off my surprise-which I personally thought was extremely unprofessional. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Dr. Leiting has been our family veterinarian for a number of years. During that time we have dealt with a wide variety of minor health issues, ongoing care for diabetes, and caring for two cats with terminal cancer. With Dr. Leiting's assistance, we have learned to deal with administering pills, transdermal gels, intravenous fluid bags, injections, and hand-feeding. Even on her busiest days, Dr. Leiting always takes the time to listen to our questions/observations, thoroughly and gently examine our pet, explain exactly what the situation is and any options we may have. She often calls us to follow up on our pets' care, and on a few occasions where we had a specific question about a certain treatment or product that was outside of her area of expertise, she has researched it on her own time to find out the answer. We couldn't ask for a better doctor for our pets. She has helped us keep our pets healthy and happy, and for the two that we lost to cancer, we know that her guidance was a large part of the reason they enjoyed a longer and more comfortable life than anyone predicted.

Lastly, I have one "difficult" dog who they treat with love & kindness, even though he is very nervous. Thank you to all the vets, since we've seen them all, and we appreciate all you do!!!

This clinic is in a very convient location however-location is the only thing I think they may have going for them. The building is far too small for its own good, the parking lot is dangerous as it is only one way and lets directly out to a busy street-to get in you have to walk down the side of the building onto the driveway, and theres is zero handicap accessibility. I must say that this is the first hospital that I didn't have to wait to see the doctor and it's a good thing I didn't because the chairs in the waiting area look like they came from Goodwill. Inside the exam room you are going to find the about the same amount of bland as in the waiting area only this time you are downgraded to plastic chairs from the 70's now I wish I had to wait....The doctor greeted my dog before she greeted me which I thought was a little odd since I'm the one paying her. Upon checkout talk about STICKER SHOCK! I originally came in for a routine checkup and vaccinations and it turned out that I needed medication as well but holy cow I was not prepared for the price! The college aged manager was at the desk and offered up a rebuttal for my reaction and tried to jokingly ease off my surprise-which I personally thought was extremely unprofessional. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Dr. Leiting has been our family veterinarian for a number of years. During that time we have dealt with a wide variety of minor health issues, ongoing care for diabetes, and caring for two cats with terminal cancer. With Dr. Leiting's assistance, we have learned to deal with administering pills, transdermal gels, intravenous fluid bags, injections, and hand-feeding. Even on her busiest days, Dr. Leiting always takes the time to listen to our questions/observations, thoroughly and gently examine our pet, explain exactly what the situation is and any options we may have. She often calls us to follow up on our pets' care, and on a few occasions where we had a specific question about a certain treatment or product that was outside of her area of expertise, she has researched it on her own time to find out the answer. We couldn't ask for a better doctor for our pets. She has helped us keep our pets healthy and happy, and for the two that we lost to cancer, we know that her guidance was a large part of the reason they enjoyed a longer and more comfortable life than anyone predicted.
