Had to take Mollie in this week to see Vet and, as usual, was very pleased with the care, compassion and understanding that Dwight Veterinarian Clinic shows to both our dogs. We lost our dogs, Cali, this past April and they showed us such compassion and understanding and took care of Cali's arrangements when we took her in. Once again Dr Angie Haag-Eggenberger and staff were awesome. Called late on Monday night to see if I could get Schatzie in for an appointment that next day because she was in pain. I could tell that the receptionist was “squeezing her in” on Tuesday. A minute after hanging up I received a call back to see if we wanted to come in right away instead! They have evening appointments available on Mondays! And then when we arrived we were seen right away and they were so great with her. We've been going here for our pets' health care for decades. Dr. Cronin, who used to be the vet here, passed away last year; however, the female vet who's replaced him seems pretty good. They do try to upsell additional services (all of which would indeed benefit your pet, of course), but will provide cost estimates (since the vast majority of U.S. pet owners do not have pet health insurance). IF I could, I'd give this this veterinary clinic 10 stars. My Fur Babies have been patients of this clinic since 2008. The quality of care, professionalism, & expertise, ranging from the veterinarians and vet-techs on staff to the office staff who manage the scheduling, is the best. The Dwight Veterinary Clinic provides outstanding service to it's furry patients as well as their adoptive "parents." For the reasons stated above, we make the 56 mile one-way drive from our home in Frankfort, IL to Dwight. Easy access off I-55. The app connected with the clinic makes for easy scheduling of appointments and information specific to our pets. The DVMs write S.O.A.P. notes after each visit and provide a copy at checkout along with the bill. S.O.A.P. notes following pet care is extraordinary for pet care clinics. Although I was a little upset with waiting so long even after we made an appointment, going here is always worth it. The dr is always so nice and caring. Anytime we've brought our babies in, she always calls and checks on them and gives us peace of mind. Our little Hiccup has kennel cough and the medicine she gave us seems to help greatly. I had to put my Miller Kitty down and they were all so sweet and even gave me a little kitten angel pin for my 3 year old son- a little mold of his pawprint and then a few weeks after- they sent us a card that was all hand signed by the staff. They are very helpful and sincere especially when you have a difficult decision to make about one of your loved family members. They treated our family like we were extremely important. Came to them with crisis with my dog Angel. If we hadn't came to them, most likely we would have lost her. Dr. Cronin called and checked on his "lil Angel" after emergency visit to them. They have extreme compassion and make you feel like your concerns matter. They gave Angel a better quality of life. Unfortunately, we had to make a difficult decision Jan. 7th so she wouldn't suffer any more. They were there for us. It meant so much to receive a sympathy card after we lost her and then just the other day we received another surprise. We received a card in the mail from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine saying they had received a monetary donation in Angel's name from Dwight Vet Clinic. Pretty heartless to a long time customer. A little compasion would have been nice. I took a stray cat in that had been bitten by a wild animal and I get told well if you cant afford it I can clean the wound and leave it open, or you can pay us 200.00 to fix it. this after I offrered to make payment during a hard time in my life... they have gotten a whole lot of money out of me over the years and I even made payments in the past with no problems..... forget you people, I'll drive 40 miles to go a different company.
