I have only visited one time for a check up and rabies vaccine. This vet is a graduate of Iowa State Vet School. He is well trained. I found him very caring and gentle...he is all about the pet...not as caring or gentle with pet parents. He has lots of Chicago area pet experience, so despite his rural Iowa background his time in the city and his bedside manner might make you stop and think. Take the time to speak with him...your first impression might not be your last impression. No complaints. Excellent service and care of my Pixie. I called at 7:30 AM for an emergency situation. The vet and his assistant met me at the door at 8 AM. They took care of my cat with care and love. I would highly recommend Dr. Hamlow. His assistant Melanie is wonderful. Read Less

Randall Hamlow is Horrible Man as the Vet at this place. He was uncaring and very mouthy when I visited needing help with some abandoned Kittens. I wouldn't recommend this jerk to an enemy let alone a animal lover. Read Less

At a very difficult time when you have to make that decision to put down an aged pet, kind, caring and compassion is what you will get with these professionals. Dr Hamlow has taken care of my two dogs for the past several years and has shown to be a very caring and capable veterinarian. He saved my 18 year old miniature schnauzer by doing surgery when other vets would only give her antibiotics, she is now going on 23 years old.
