Thank you, Dr. Huffman!! Best experience for my young Shire, Barnikel!! Dr. Huffman is very gentle and excellent! I HIGHLY recommend her! She's very down to earth and took the time to listen about my concerns and stressful experience abot my needle phobic Draft horse. She and I worked on a resolution for shots and it was the best feeling in the world! My boy got his teeth floated and vaccinations done very peacefully! It was a great day for us! BIG thank you from Barnikel and I! And soon, Dr. Huffman will have another patient from my family, the Shire sister to my boy, Sweet Basil Mae, who Dr. Huffman will meet in the Fall. I trust my horses with a great doctor!

I Normally do not to reviews but I am for this case, last night my horse was colicing. I called Illinois equine field service and talked to a lady explained to her what was going on she said she would have the vet on call, call me. I have no complaints with her. When the vet called, I am here to tell you he was a not a nice man in anyway way shape or form! Totally talked down to me and acted like I was a thorn in his side. I can not remember his name but I will never attempt ...to call this place again! He was rude, rude, rude. never even asked me about the horse and how it was acting. Just told me to call my normal vet. ( which of course, I had tried) What do you want me to do we don't come to Garden Prairie" is what I was told. I hope he sees this and in the future treats people with a little more kindness! Dr Tim Dayton and Dr Deb Sink were lifesavers and I thank them from the bottom of my heart! See More

My family and I have been using Illinois Equine for the past 9+ years. A while back, Dr. Huffman and Dr. Siegrist saved my first horse from an unknown illness that almost took him from us, but their dedication and wise decisions are the reason he lived. Fast forward a couple years, and the same horse developed a very strange form of cancer AND the equine equivalent of Lupus, which Dr. Huffman devoted so much into trying to figure out what was going on and help him. Then last year, my TB mare severely injured herself in a trailer and Dr. Siegrist did the most amazing job stitching her up (right on the point of hock, I might add) and proposing a plan to help her heal. She ended up colicing a week later and he took great care of her then as well. Unfortunately, she didn't make it after having colic surgery only because her injured leg just couldn't hold up afterwards. Dr. Siegrist even visited her in the hospital before I had to put her down. Also, my sister and I purchased a horse from the Wisemans this past January and we love him! I would definitely recommend Illinois Equine. They're the best!

The doctors at IL Equine have been taking care of our horses for nearly 20 years. Our horses have been exceptionally healthy in every way, whether experiencing recovery from minor ( and rare) injurie...
The doctors at IL Equine have been taking care of our horses for nearly 20 years. Our horses have been exceptionally healthy in every way, whether experiencing recovery from minor ( and rare) injuries such as a foot abcess or large cut or age and use related conditions such as a bone spur. Of course we have provided the horses with good care in the stable and kind and competent riding, but I definitely attribute our horses' excellent condition over all these years to the care they receive from IL Equine as well. The doctors are attentive, available and thorough in their care. They take the time to listen to us and to examine the horse whenever we have a concern, however minor it may turn out to be, and they provide dependable ongoing care, such as spring vaccines, floating teeth, tests, etc., letting us know that it's time for these things to be done. This is a very professional and caring equine veterinarian service that we depend on without reservation.

My family and I have been using Illinois Equine for the past 9+ years.
