I’ve been bringing pets here forever!! I’ve always been treated very well. My cats, dogs, and hamsters have been treated very well, too. I’m down to two cats now, and they’re very well loved and taken care of. Dr. Éphraim will diagnose any problems Audrey and Kate Hepburn might have and suggest treatment. Update: Our thirteen year old dog, Mo has been seeing the caring people of Oakton Animal Hospital for twelve years now. We feel Dr. Ephraim is one of those rare people who truly has a life long passion for the care, respect and protection of animals. The first time we met him we knew this was the vet for Mo as he is honest and open about all options of care with detailed explanations to make us understand Mo€s needs. Whenever we enter the hospital, it is always clean and smells good. Mo can be a skittish dog, but the quiet and tranquil atmosphere makes him happily step on the scale first thing in the door. Being we bring him in approximately 6-7 times a year for his nail to be clipped, twice a year for shots and other regular check up issues, teeth cleaning and several times due to his allergies, he willingly goes in the back with the staff when necessary or into an exam room. We are always informed on how long procedures will take, receive reasonable bills and most importantly excellent, excellent care. If you want your dog to be expertly cared for in a nurturing manner, Dr. Ephraim and his staff are the people for your family. Addition: We are also taking our dog, Sugar, a white dachshund to see Dr. Ephraim and his great staff for the past five years. She has been treated just as well as Mo and my family cannot be happier with the quality of care and the professionalism of the staff. It's location in town is ideal. They communicate effectively with current pet services needed, and opportunity to set up appointments through email, text, or over the phone. The doctors are top notch and compassionate. Test results are explained thoroughly, and I never get the feeling I'm being rushed out of the office. Prices are competitive and reasonable. I was really happy with the care my kitten received at Oakton Animal Hospital. I took him there for all his shots & a check up (the full kitten package they call it). And then we came back later when it was time for him to be neutered. The doctor was very knowledgeable & gentle with my lil guy and I was very pleased with everything. This place plays on your emotions and money. 20 years with Dr. Ephraim and he has over vaccinated all of my dogs. I have a 7 year old dog and she had Lymphoma. Could of been caused by over vaccinated. It should cost over $400 for a ear infection she gets every year. Last 2 issues with my dog I got a second opinion and he didn't do his job so I would keep coming back to get her better. My new vet could not get her records from them and no shot records sent to the new vet. I save all my receipts and my new vet saw her shots for years back and was shocked. Ask around and get on the internet. I don't want any other dogs immune system to get weakened like my dog did. Read Less

In addition to the fine medical service they provide the thing that really sets this Animal Hospital apart from so many in our area is the office staff. They are friendly, courteous, involved, and they make an effort to always let you know they truly care about your pet. That goes a long, long way. If you call with an urgent question, they make sure they get back to you as soon as possible. When you walk in the door, you're always greeted with a smile and a kind word. I have had cats all my life and have been to many, many vet offices in that time. None of them even come close to the compassionate, top rate care Dr. Ephraim and his staff gives. From the minute I walk in with my 4 cats, I am greeted by my name with warmth, the cats are equally made welcome. Dr. Ephraim takes great time and care examining my pets and makes sure I completely understand what he is doing and why. If there is a problem, he presents all sides to me and does tell me about the costs associated prior to doing anything. He keeps up with all the advances in pet care and is very well educated and experienced. I probably pass 10 other vet offices on my way to Oakton Animal Hospital and even though they would be closer for me, I never, ever would think about going anywhere else. I am impressed how the staff can put my cats at ease immediately. One cat (10 YO neutered male) had a urinary blockage, and the Doctor gave me several different approaches to resolving the problem along with the costs and risks to each option. It was nice to know what options I had and the cost / risk of each. I was able to pick an option that resolved the problem at a cost that was well within my ability to pay. I have never had a Vet be so honest and understand the situation from my side of the situation. We all love our pets, but we have to remember that we have to consider their quality of life. I am glad to report that Bob Cat is doing well and had a great checkup. I would definitely recommend the Oakton Animal Hospital to anybody. Read Less
