To have my dog for 6 hours and all I asked was for a teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, and asked for a mole to be removed the care there was uncalled for. I felt that they had no bedside manners. They had to put a IV in my dog and when the vet was doing this he didn't shave his fur and also kept continuing to try to stick the IV in multiple times which caused my dog such discomfort. When I went to pick up my dog after they said they didn't have to pull any teeth out! I simply asked for a teeth cleaning. I also then looked in my dogs ears and they were raw and irritated from supposed a simple cleaning. They also gave me my dog back half wet and covered in his own poop. When I questioned this the vet stated that my dog pooped in the cage and he vet tried to clean him. Let's just say I'm looking for a new vet. Read Less

I brought my rescue cat, Loki, here when he had a bloated belly. Dr. Huber took blood tests, tested the fluid in his belly, gave him a steroid shot and gave me steroid pills to ease his discomfort. He ruled out everything that could cause abdominal fluid like leukemia and diagnosed him with wet FIV, which has no cure. He was very sympathetic and made sure to rule out everything before giving the diagnosis and wanted to make sure Loki was as comfortable as possible in his last days. When Loki died a week later, I felt that the entire staff was sympathetic and did a wonderful job with the cremation. He is now our family vet. His prices are extremely reasonable compared to other vets. Read Less

We have been taking our dogs here for years, but after the last visit, after my one dog was misdiagnosed, I decided to bring her over to Bevlab in Blue Island. Not only is she more comfortable there, they're very professional and compassionate, unlike the doctors at Evergreen. The one doctor, an older guy, has ZERO compassion for animals, by the end of her visit, she was scared to death. He not only misdiagnosed her as well, but he wanted to do the surgery right then and there! After going to Bevlab, we were told she only needed to lose a few pounds, and once she did so, she seems happy and healthy, and I was told surgery was unnecessary! I don't appreciate getting a rabies reminder for a dog that has been dead for a year due to the ignorance of Dr. Hubert who misdiagnosed him as having an infection, refused to see me after bringing him back the 3rd time when I insisted that something was terribly wrong. Dismissed me as a over reactive pet owner and I had to watch my beloved Woody die in my arms just hours after being refused an appointment. How do you miss a 5.5 lb tumor! Dr. Hubert is the only vet for me.  He has a quiet bedside manner but knows his stuff.His staff is terrific too.  My dog is absolutely terrible at the vet and they manage to calm him down (and hold him down, but that's another story!)When our old dog had to be put down, we were amazed at the compassion of Dr. Hubert and his staff.  They were a bright spot on a very unhappy day.I have to travel a bit to get here but I wouldn't go to any other vet. The veterinarian, Roy Hubert, is a very kind person who cares very much for the animals he treats. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
