Had my first puppy visit at Le Par and it was an amazing experience. The staff were so professional and nice. They were very accommodating and I felt they genuinely cared for my puppy's wellbeing. Reviews are accurate when they say this hospital is very pricey. We were referred here after our longtime vet retired and needed animal care quickly and they already had all our records sent over, and we didn't have the luxury of time to research and compare. I'm highly satisfied with the care, concern, and attention my pets have received, but I will be sure to get quotes prior to any procedure, and buy any supplies I might need (e-collar for example) on my own, instead of them just charging me for a cone from the hospital. I do believe the care is excellent, but feel they are not forthcoming about prices and will try to add as many extras on as possible, so just be sure to ask and hopefully there won't be any surprises. We will continue to go here for routine care, but will compare other hospitals if a procedure is required in the future. Read Less

We have been bringing our dog here for a couple of months now and I cannot say enough how truly passionate and friendly Dr. Fry and Dr. Midas are. Our dog absolutely loves them both. They are so compassionate and that is rare now a days. They both listen to your concerns and answer with honesty and they both show our dog warmth and respect. The vet assistant Lindsay is also a great asset to Lepar. You can tell she truly loves animals along with both Doctors. I would recommend both of these Doctors to everyone I know. First of all, let me get this out of the way.  These folks are expensive, no way around that.However, the doctors are just stellar!  I use Dr. Bauer, because he takes the time to explain anything.One of my cats has feline urinary problems.  He was dying when I brought him in.  (I knew he was sick in the morning, but I had to go to work, and couldn't take him until i could get off.)The vet's office found time to squeeze me in, and seven years later, our senior is still with us!We also have another senior who is on thyroid medication, and she's doing well, also.These folks know what they are doing.  Great staff, great doctors, just fantastic all around.   I'll never use another vet again! I have no idea why you would not list NRT as one of your premier services. It is cutting edge successful and is one the main reasons my Maltese is still alive, living healthy, with Cushings disease for years. Dr. Cutwright is a rare treasure. I find all the Vets here are equally talented in their expertise, but NRT is able to pinpoint the needs of complex cases with amazing accuracy with alternative supplements. I've been going to LePar for about 5-6 years. They helped when my Bichon had Liver Failure, she passed away natural. When my sisters yorkie (a beloved dog that she had rescued) developed two tumors, heart failure and liver failure. It was LePar that was there for us. They offered to come to our house so that she could pass away with the family surrounding her. When our Doodle ( he was one) developed a serve bone cancer, again it was Lepar that was there with their support. They recommended a great surgeon who did a fantastic job. (Our doodle is now five and doing great) They haven't just helped us with the depressing parts of our dog lives. They help us with our grooming ( I have two LARGE dogs) and they always do a fantastic job of Nail Grindings. They are always there to answer any questions I may have. And in general they are just great people. I love Lepar and they are worth every penny.Read Less

In the beginning of July I brought my min pin in to LePar to see Dr. Fry because she was having accidents and experiencing discomfort. After her exam, blood test fecal test etc he could not come up with a conclusion to her issues so considering her symptoms he sent her back with a antibiotic to resolve a UTI that he was unsure if she had, that visit was $273.00 for no result other than an educational guess.After no results of the antibiotic and now in more severe pain than ever I take her back to Dr. Fry for him to examine her again and still no result. He then suggested an X-ray since that was the only route that we hadn't taken yet, after 15 minutes of waiting he came back to tell me that he couldn't find anything wrong with her other than she had a couple fleas on her and suggested that was mostly her problem with discomfort. After a long disagreed discussion that it was fleas that were the issue he then suggested a $250 test for cushings disease which causes no pain or discomfort what so ever, which I declined. He was going to send us on our way with the fleas being the only result until my dog started yelping and crying worse in pain, he then said that he would give her an anti-inflammatory/pain med to relieve the pain but still had no idea of the cause! As I was walking out of the exam room to the front counter with my dog in my arms she cried the whole way out. I brought my dissatisfaction to their attention and they said instead of charging me right then and there they would bill me. They knew right there that they didn't know what the cause of her pain was!! I immediately made an appointment at Oak Village Animal hospital for the next day. The next day she went to Oak Village and within about 15 minutes Dr. Bowden diagnosed her with severe vaginitis, liver disease and slight discomfort in her ligament in her rear leg. He gave her the meds she needed and now is doing a lot better. Yesterday I stopped in to tell the head Dr. Of LePar about Dr. Frys poor diagnosis and suggestions and explained her current diagnosis from Dr. Bowden and asked what he was going to do about it and about compensation for what I paid for wrongful/no diagnosis and he said nothing that Dr. Fry did the best he could! Really?? I will never take another animal back to his hospital nor would i recommend anyone else too! They're just interested in what they can charge you with not helping out the animal in need!Read Less

My friend took his dog there who was in serious pain. The vet told us he found a couple of fleas on her and that is what was causing the pain. This poor dog could not get comfortable and was crying in pain through the night! He did x-rays and not a thorough exam, and put her on an anti-inflammatory because he thought maybe she had a ligament issue. Left there with no diagnosis, medication for a "possible" issue, and a dog crying in pain. Took her to Oak Village Animal Hospital the next day, and Dr. Bowen found she had a severe infection by her cervix and an infection in her liver. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Trust your instincts and go to a vet who's not afraid to be thorough and diagnose right the first time! Read Less

I have been taking my chihuahua here since she was a puppy.The staff is very professional and you can tell they give 110%. We usually just come here for yearly exams, but recently my dog got very sick. I called and told them it was kind of an emergency, and they got us in within the hour. That was really appreciated, because I wanted to go somewhere I was comfortable with. They ran some tests, gave her some fluids and medicine, and we were out in an hour. I have been bringing my fur children to the LePar Animal Hospital for decades. Previously, my two German Shepherds and orange tabby. Presently, my cat, Matilda (adopted from the Chicago Ridge Animal Welfare at the age of approximately 1 year old) and Mr Whipple (approximately 10 years old recently adopted from Paws Chicago blind and an enlarged heart chamber causing a heart murmur). After adopting Mr Whipple, I dropped off a copy of his medical records at LePar because I knew I would not be able to trust any other vet with his life. One morning my wife took Mr Whipple out in the morning. Mr Whipple started to cough and acting strangely. She immediately brought him into the house and after putting him down on the floor, he collapsed. When I picked him up he seemed okay. I called for an appointment and got him into their offices that day. Dr Cutright examined him thoroughly and took x-rays. Dr Cutright showed me the x-rays and explained what we were seeing. Dr Cutright gave me three options as to possible treatment. I chose to try medication (Vetmedin). Prior to this visit, Mr Whipple would be in a rest mode more than active. After almost a month on this medication Mr Whipple is more active than resting. Just watching him in the house or outside tires me out. I see a huge difference in him now. I feel he will have a very happy life ahead of him with the care we and LePar Animal Hospital will give him.I could not recommend the staff and veterinarians of the LePar Animal Hospital high enough. I have used almost ALL of the services offered by the Le Par Animal Hospital. They have taken care of my two GSDs and my two cats. I have had the normal care and the minor illness care. We have used the acupuncture and chiropractic serves to care for and maintain the happiness of our dogs. Presently we just adopted a special needs elderly dog. He is at least 9 to 10 years of age, blind and has an enlarged heart with a murmur. I would only trust these people with his care. Read Less

This place is just really the best.  The staff is friendly and professional and its easy to get appointments.  My dog is not good at vet.  At all.  They were really patient with her, even though they had to get two techs to control her.  They listened closely to me to find what was wrong with my little baby and got her back to herself.  Their prices are a little high, but you definately get taken care of.  Plus some of the vets are cute.  :) Read Less
