We're convinced that Lotus has a crush on Dr Breslin. She's a tortie cat and has the attitude to match normally, but she turns into (calm) jelly in his hands. The prices aren't ridiculously high and everyone is kind to us and our kitties. Mindy was a little shaken up last time we visited, but they did all they could to calm her (she hates having her claws and paws touched so nail clipping was traumatic to her). We'll continue coming here even though it's a 30 minute drive - couldn't ask for better vet visits!

VCA Franklin Park honestly went above and beyond for me and my boyfriend's cat, Theon. I can never thank them enough for saving our cat's life. Theon had a severe case of feline urinary crystals, where he actually blocked 6 times in a week. My boyfriend and I constantly drove back and fourth to a different emergency vet hospital hoping to resolve Theon's issue. Drastically, Theon needed an emergency surgery and we were hopeless. The other vet hospital wanted the payment in full upfront, which was something we could not afford because we had paid them the last 6 previous visits up front and in full. We truly were at a loss at this time. VCA Franklin Park stepped in and really took care of us. They genuinely cared about Theon, not the money. They understood our situation and saw the terrible condition Theon was in. Cindy, the phenomenal tech, truly cared for our situation and created a monthly payment for us. If that wasn't enough, Dr. Pagor, the surgeon, was on vacation when Theon needed the surgery. Willingly and whole heartedly, Dr. Pagor came in on her vacation and performed the surgery. Cindy was also in the surgery room for Theon. Furthermore, Dr. Bresolin came in to check on and release Theon the next day... Easter Sunday. VCA Franklin Park Animal Hospital was supposed to be closed on Eater but they willingly opened in order to accommodate to Theon's needs. The most shocking part about this entire experience is that my boyfriend and I never had to beg the staff of VCA to help us... they did all of this on their own. We begged our previous animal hospital to help us and we were not given the help we desperately needed. Again, I sincerely cannot thank the team enough for the tremendous care and service they have given me and Theon. Michelle, the hospital manager, is amazingly sweet and helpful when it came to explaining and switching Theon's new, special diet. To any pet owners reading this, VCA Franklin Park loves your pets as much as you do. Every time I come back in, they ALWAYS ask how is Theon.

I will only use this vetinary surgery for my pets. The staff are absolutely amazing and set the most nervous animals at ease. I especially like the way they get down on my dogs level to examine her ra...
I will only use this vetinary surgery for my pets. The staff are absolutely amazing and set the most nervous animals at ease. I especially like the way they get down on my dogs level to examine her rather then put her up on a table. Both my dogs have been patients here and both have enjoyed going to see the vet. The techs are knowledgeable and very friendly you can tell they really enjoy their jobs and they are also very welcoming.
The cost is reasonable here for treatment and they will help assist you in applying for care credit if needed more importantly they don't do unnecessary treatments just to make money. If you take your pet in they will tell you what has to be done versus what can be done and there is no pressure to pay for extras either.
Staff treat your pets like they would there own.

Good but expensive. I have multiple pets and it is hard to afford quality care. My pets are part of my family and I know I am responsible for their life and that I need to take good care of them. They are all up in age and on medications, which means more visits to the vet. I feel they should offer care plans for people with multiple pets so that it is more affordable and fair, while still getting quality care. I know they need to make a profit, but they need to balance that with the expense of the client paying. Otherwise, I was very pleased with Dr. Pagor and the staff.

I brought my GSD here on a whim because I had a coupon. Sometimes coupons aren't worth the hassle and drive. I learn the hard way plenty of times. The Dr. and assistant were very friendly and helpful, but the wait, the price, and chaos that ensued as we were checking out was bizarre. I may change my mind about the 4 stars the more I think about it. Not returning to this location.

Not only have I been bringing Josie my cat to VCA for almost 13 years, I have been buying her food there too. Today when I picked up her food, the young gentleman (Aaron D.) behind the counter noticed My Marine Corps. Medallion hanging around my neck. He asked me if I was a Marine and I told him yes. He ended up giving me a $5.00 dollar Veterans Discount off my order. How cool was that? We Viet Nam Era Vets are not use to this kind of treatment and it was well received.

My dog was dying and I brought him to this animal hospital. Staff was friendly... However they didn't administer a sedative prior to administering a lethal dose of phenobarbital. In my dogs last minutes he suffered extreme pain and suffering. It was hard to let go but even worse to see a pet that you loved die in this fashion. Unfortunately this was not the first time this happened. Even after attempts to rectify this situation through corporate and the VCA in Franklin park I have not heard any correspondence back to fix this situation. I would never bring another animal to this location!!! If you love your pet I would highly recommend finding a new animal hospital.

We're convinced that Lotus has a crush on Dr Breslin. She's a tortie cat and has the attitude to match normally, but she turns into (calm) jelly in his hands. The prices aren't ridiculously high and everyone is kind to us and our kitties. Mindy was a little shaken up last time we visited, but they did all they could to calm her (she hates having her claws and paws touched so nail clipping was traumatic to her). We'll continue coming here even though it's a 30 minute drive - couldn't ask for better vet visits!

My dog was dying and I brought him to this animal hospital. Staff was friendly... However they didn't administer a sedative prior to administering a lethal dose of phenobarbital.
