Horrible!! I went to pick up my friends dog after being spayed... she was in a carrier too small for her for one, and when I walked in he had a small dog held by 2 legs and was flopping it from one ta...
Horrible!! I went to pick up my friends dog after being spayed... she was in a carrier too small for her for one, and when I walked in he had a small dog held by 2 legs and was flopping it from one table to the other. Horrible bedside manner. He was very rough with this poor dog who was under an anesthetic. He proceded to get out newspaper and wrapped the dog up like a burrito... he then had me get my friends dog from the carrier and then just kind of shoved the dog into it from an opening on the top. He told me to put my friends dog on the table. Without washing his hands, started cutting the dogs nails with bloody hands. Then left me in the office until I said are we done? My friends poor dog was lathering for 3 days. Could not get her to eat or drink, thought she was going to die. I would not recommend this vet to anybody.. if I do, it's to recommend they go elsewhere.

Great country doc. Not all the fancy equipment but simple procedures and routine check-ups at a great price. No overhead! He really cares about our pet's. Has made time even in the middle of the night...

This vet took great care of my dog. Cleaned her teeth and prescribed her some meds to help her arthritis. Unbeatable prices and really cares about animals.

Dr. Steffen has cared for both my Stewie and Jax kitties, and I have nothing but excellent things to say and would recommend his clinic to anyone. He really cares about the pets you trust him with and he's very efficient. I live in Peoria, and there are plenty of veterinary clinics and hospitals in the area, but his prices are unbeatable and well worth the 35 minute drive.
