I brought my 6 year old cat here a few weeks ago for a mouth injury that we weren't sure how it happened. We arrived, filled out paperwork and waited for 5 hours before we were in a room, without any time or wait recognition, nor did anyone come to check on my cat to see if she was okay... her tongue was out and she was breathing very heavy and frantic the entire time. She wasn't moving much before we brought her in either. When we finally got into a room, where we waited another 20 minutes to see a doctor, the doctor did a "exam", felt her body and jaw, then gave us a $1300 estimate to sedate my cat for x-rays for a jaw fracture... then she said if we did the x-rays they might not even show what (if anything) was wrong... The other estimate was for $500 worth of pain medication. She didn't diagnose my cat, didn't look thoroughly in her mouth and said my cat was "probably hiding her pain." I asked the Dr. for her professional and personal opinion of what to do, and she didn't answer, guide me or re-assure me of anything. She told me I was provided estimates and to decide. I was given dirty looks, and felt truly judged by the unprofessional and carelessness of the doctors and nurses. The doctor barely examined my cat and spent less than 5 minutes with us total. We were not a priority at all to the staff at Premier. After we denied the sedation, x-rays, and over prescribed pain medication, we paid and then was told to, yet again, wait to be discharged. At this point i have been there worried for going on 6-7 hours...we waited for another 30 minutes. After I asked to be emailed my discharged papers, as my cat has not been out of a carrier, eaten, drank or gotten to relax at all, a nurse came out and told us everything we already discussed in the appointment. Upon returning home, I was so upset with how we were treated and worried sick about my cat, I took it upon myself and looked inside my cat's mouth, and found that she had bit her tongue and was bleeding under her tongue...nothing was wrong with her jaw as she was eating wet food just fine... The Doctor never looked at her tongue or under, otherwise she would have seen this! I paid a pretty penny for someone to judge me and dismiss my animal after spending over 7 hours at the facility!!! She was seen by her primary vet the next day and treated. She's doing fantastic now! If it wasn't for me looking and examining closely, myself, who knows what could have happened. I am an animal lover and I knew it wouldn't be a fast process and I was also worried about the other pets! But, at least tell us a timeline or check on my animal! None of that nor did anyone care about me or my pet. It was truly the worst service experience I have had as a patient, let alone my pet. I will never recommend this place to anyone nor will I be returning. Read Less
