I have a very nervous and untrusting rescue pitbull that doesn't really like men.. I called them to set up an appointment for vaccines and told them the situation... They were BEYOND accommodating.. w...
I have a very nervous and untrusting rescue pitbull that doesn't really like men.. I called them to set up an appointment for vaccines and told them the situation... They were BEYOND accommodating.. when I got there they were all ready for him and even made sure he had a female doctor so he felt safe... They made him feel so safe that he was actually super well behaved and even cried when the doctor left the room... I will never go to another Vet.. this place is a bit pricey... But I'll pay whatever I need to for service like this.. I was beyond impressed and I will update this with the Vets name when I get home and double check. Thank you guys so much for making a stressful situation super easy!!! Your whole staff is amazing!

5 inquiries to the doctor to get a refill for my dogs medicine. 5 days of inquiries and my dogs meds ran out. Finally got a response that they were not going to refill my dogs medicine until my balance was paid. The statement I received from the front desk girl, was and I quote. " Well, um, its like, you know, not a life or death medication for the dog." So apparently, they think its a healthy medical practice to allow animals to go off their meds while payments being collected. Way to be in it for the right reasons team! For sure will not be recommending this vet. Clearly about money and not the animals well being. If i could give negative stars, I gladly would.

I have been going to Hinsdale Animal Hospital for some time now. Back 5-10 years ago, this facility was awesome and I loved bringing my dog in for visits. Now, the vets that Hinsdale has employeed see...
I have been going to Hinsdale Animal Hospital for some time now. Back 5-10 years ago, this facility was awesome and I loved bringing my dog in for visits. Now, the vets that Hinsdale has employeed seem to forget that the Pet Parent is who they should listen to. I have requested for my dog to get her shots in the room with me....once again, the vet decided that was not the proper procedure. I travel past several different vet office's to get to Hinsdale....I dont believe that my dog and I will be back for shots any longer. Very disappointed

Not a good experience. Told me one price on the phone, then charged me double. When I questioned it, the lady was snotty. Didn’t really thoroughly examine the cats. Weighed them, but didn’t tell me weight. Didn’t ask questions or explain anything, as they were going along. I think because it’s a wealthy area, they push the expensive things that aren’t needed, and dumb rich people just pay. Couldn’t spell my name right. If they don’t care about the humans, how are they treating the animals? Weren’t friendly. Didn’t greet or welcome me, or the patients, at the front door. I stood there for 10 minutes, and then acted annoyed because I was there. My cat needed a rabies shot, which she got, but at no time did they vet speak to the cost. Would have been helpful if he addressed the extra costs as they went along. Also, explain things to the humans. Say what you are doing. Give a summary of each pet. Greet people at the front door with a nice warm hello, and be polite. Hiring a capable receptionist would go along way to improving this place.

As foster parents for a dog rescue and the parents of three of our own scruffy mutts, we spend a lot of time at animal hospitals. We started going to Hinsdale Animal Hospital about four years ago and have been ecstatic with our experience there. The staff is friendly, responsive and they love animals. The vets are amazing and truly care about their patients. There have been many times when I had a sick dog within 30-45 minutes of closing and they more concerned about helping... me and the dog than making sure they got out on time. They are always accommodating when we pick up an animal from a shelter who needs urgent medical care. They put the care of animals first-and-foremost. Their prices are very fair and they do a lot to help our rescue mitigate expensive medical care. There are many animal hospitals to choose from in Chicagoland, and many much closer to us than Hinsdale, but it is rare that you find a hospital that is compassionate, competent and reasonably priced like Hinsdale Animal Hospital. I am very saddened about the service my family received from this hospital. To sedate an animal without knowing what was wrong with him is like putting them down. This is exactly what happen to our pet! He had a history of breathing problems and when we called to bring him in while he was experiencing what we believed to be breathing difficulties we were told to bring him in. Once we got there they told us they had no oxygen tanks on hand that we should take him to the ER and they sedated him and sent us away and when we got him into the car to rush him to the ER he then died in the car. I don't believe he was given the proper care. If they knew they had no oxygen tanks they should have just advised us to go directly to the ER, I feel that every second counts when it comes to life and death. I find it very heartless the way they were turned away instead of helping him!! I can assure you we would not ever trust this hospital again!!!

When I got my dog I wanted to make sure that she had the best Veterinarians possible, (She is my first dog).
Plenty of my family friends suggested Hinsdale Animal Hospital, so we took her there. I remember her first appointment she fell asleep in the arms of one of the Vets who is no longer there.
We decided to stay at Hinsdale and I have never been so happy with our decisions. The vets are always sweet and my dog is always excited to see them, which is really nice when you know how scared your pup is of that room! They explain things in a way I can understand and I feel comfortable asking them questions.
I have suggested many friends and family members to go to this Vet Hospital as well.

Let me just say this is the most compassionate place I have ever taken any of my pets to. Dr. Robert Buchanan really helped us with our dog Throttle when we couldn't find anyone to help us within our budget and we were able to tell that he cared more about our dog than the almighty dollar. How grateful we are that we found him! Throttle is home from surgery today and resting. We have found a new doctor for our pets and will recommend them to anyone who asks!!!

They did an emergency surgery on my pet chihuahua. The staff had an incredible bedside manner and helped us very much through this scary moment. Thank you Hinsdale Animal Hospital!

The entire staff at Hinsdale are the most compassionate, loving, and amazing group of people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They have treated every dog we have brought in like it was their own. Not only that, they are fantastic vets! They have helped so many of our dogs live the best life possible. Let me just say this is the most compassionate place I have ever taken any of my pets to. Dr. Robert Buchanan really helped us with our dog Throttle when we couldn't find anyone to help us within our budget and we were able to tell that he cared more about our dog than the almighty dollar. How grateful we are that we found him! Throttle is home from surgery today and resting. We have found a new doctor for our pets and will recommend them to anyone who asks!!!
