Staff change = new direction for previously stabilized cat. This led to both becoming extremely ill after prescription food. One ended up constipated, needing X-rays + meds. $300 later for something brought on by their misguidance & they want me to pick up even more meds since he hasn't recovered. I cannot even begin to express how hurtful it is to see the pet struggle or how gross my typically very clean house has become. The disgusting clean up jobs continues. Looks like we will now have to take the dehydrated & sickly cat to the emergency vet after all of the expense for the x-rays & enema they gave him Thursday. Wonderful, wonderful service. Dr. Kriner came for a house call today to help our fur baby cross over the rainbow bridge. She was so caring, thoughtful, and patient. She gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye and was so compassionate with every step. I spent months searching for a new vet as my vet of many years retired ! As a breeder I was in a panic. From the first time I contacted Pet Vet and spoke to Karen I knew I would be welcomed there as a breeder and this was probably going to be my new vet practice ! After a few visits for kitty health checks , today I called as labor was not progressing as it should . This is a vet I trust.  I mainly see Dr. Deb and Dr. Jessica.  Both are compassionate and thorough doctors who take the time to inform me of anything and everything I would want to know.  Before he left, we saw Dr. Jon and loved him.  Never met a vet who would take 45 minutes to explain pet nutrition to us.  This is one of the few vets who care about the animals and pet owners rather than making money.  Once I had scheduled a blood test for a pet and a vet tech who was familiar with us called me and told me it would be an unnecessary waste of money.  They were right.  I've strayed from this vet twice.  Once when I had no choice on short notice to take a cat to get looked at and my work schedule back then didn't groove with their hours.  Second, I adopted a cat who was sneezing and needed to get that addressed ASAP since I have other animals at home I didn't want getting sick.  Both times were miserable mistakes.  One was fatal.  They don't handle our animals like they're animals.  There is obvious care in the way they examine our pets.  We love our pets very much and we're pretty much helicopter pet parents.  The doctors here are very understanding, patient, and trustworthy. To all of the staff, thank you!! We brought in our 1 1/2 year old yorkie, Nutella, yesterday because she was lethargic, had loose stools, and was just off. You saw her right away, taking xrays and tests. You helped manage her pain, and refered her out to a 24hr facility for overnight observation, and stabilization. Today, you have her back in your care, and are operating on her. Dr. Amy and Nikki, were very loving and kind when talking to me about Nutella's plan, and condition. (My husband saw another doctor last night, but I don't know her name. She was also fantastic!!) You all arranged for very affordable transpotation, and a respectable payment plan for your services. We moved here 5 years ago and I still drove 1 1/2 hours back to my beloved vet. Then one day about 2 years ago we noticed a growth on my girl dogs mouth. I had a toddler and was pregnant and didn't feel like driving. I called pet vet and got an appointment with Dr. Kriner for that same day. We had her growth biopsied and it is a malignant melamoma. Through this, Dr. Kriner has now become our new beloved vet for our fur babies. Almost 2 years later my girl is still doing great and carefully monitored by Dr. Kriner. She is the BEST! Dr. Deb and all of the staff at Pet Vet have taken the very best care of my three dogs over the past 13 years. They check my dogs over so carefully and take a lot of time with them and listen to all my questions during every single vist. Their advice and treatment and options always has been right on. I had an especially challenging dog and they could not have been more patient and kind with him. They came to the house when it was two of my dogs' time and were beyond patient with my dogs and me and talked with my little guys throughout and cried right along with me. One time Dr. Deb called me back during their off hours from a message that I had left on the non-emergency line with advice on how to get a friend's cat out of its hiding place. I have so many examples of how they have gone so far above and beyond but they really do care about their patients and their owners like they are family and with the very best veterinary care. We rescued three kittens about 4 weeks old. One was not doing well. They managed to make time for me in the middle of a busy day. The technicians were wonderful, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Dr. Kriner answered all my questions and gently helped me with a difficult decision. Everything was handled with the greatest care. There are "tells" at every business. On Saturday, we drove from Montgomery IL to Huntley for a first veterinarian visit after adopting our dog, Bogart, from On Angels' Wings in Crystal Lake. It was a complimentary vet exam. From the minute Dr. Deb walked into the room, she exuded passion and a genuine care for the pets under her care. She was delighted to see our new dog! Her exam was very, very thorough from head to toe. She didn't miss any important items to check. I've never had this amount of detail given to our other dog by a very well respected veterinarian in Oswego. Dr. Deb and Pet Vet has taken wonderful care of all my animals since I moved to Huntley in 2003.  She and her staff go out of their way to deliver over the top service.  Having a Dr. actually listen to you is refreshing change of pace.  When we had to put our 13 year old sheltie down in 2005 Dr. Deb came to the house so that Eddie and us had privacy to grieve.  I will never forget that and how they helped us through a extremely difficult day.  For as long as I have four legged children Dr. Deb and Pet Vet will always be the ones taking care of them.  You will not find better!
