First and foremost, I think that the Doctor's here are caring and knowledgable. That being said, our dog has been coming here for 14 years. In the last 2 years, the level of corporate greed vs animal care has exploded. It is impossible to get an actual appointment with the doctor unless you schedule months out. For emergencies, they are unequipped to handle them and send you elsewhere. For any other appointments (ear infections, illness, etc) they insist you drop them off to be caged for several hours until the vet can see them. To me, this is terrible. Their mission is to take on as many "Wellness Plans" as they can without a care for the animal's welfare. So today, my dog needed an appointment to have his legs examined (he is old and has hip issues), and we were told to drop him off. My wife explained that she did not want to do this and was told the next appointment would be at least a month out. We threatened to cancel our wellness plan (for which we pay $38/monthly for access to discounted procedures and medication) and she found an appointment 7 days out. My wife called another vet and was able to get an appointment sooner and then called to cancel our Wellness Plan at Banfield. She was told that we would need to make another monthly payment to cover any recent services. So, over the last 13 years we have paid Banfield roughly $6400 in monthly fees, plus all of the discounted costs of procedures and medications. Apparently, they had to steal another 38 bucks from us even though our most recent payment was on May 29th. If you care about your animal, and would like personal attention, I recommend avoiding Banfield. I am truly disappointed and angry about how terrible they have become. Read Less
