Roger is so kind and caring. I have a very sick elderly kitty, and he is doing everything he can to help him get better. Roger is a very good vet, a very good person as well. He helped my family when our GSD was diagnosed with DM. Which others vets in the area said was a death sentence. Which in fact it is. But the other's said " sorry DM, nithino we can do, or outlined a very expensive therapy program $4,800.00 of which they couldn't say anything or guarantee positive results. Seem as though she played on our feelings just to get the $$$. Very cold not caring about anything thing else. I hear about this place called timberline, from a gentleman in a gas station with a large GSD in the bed of his dilapidated pick up. We spoke about his dog and how wonderful treatment he receives going to see "Roger". Well long story shortened, Roger is a vet I recommend to all. He proved he cares. He allowed me and my son to be with our best friend (DRYFUSS) when he took his last breath here on Earth. Since I wasn't with my friend when he came into our world. He lived a good life was loved by family and many friends. He would open the door and go outside to watch the children get off the school bus, or just look out the window and watch them playing. Guess you wonder why I said this. Roger understood how we ( my family) felt about our boy, and he cared. He is also helping us raise our new GSD almost three years later, happy to say Logan is a very happy and healthy GSD with the care that Timberline and staff and the amazing Vet gives him. I brought my puppy to Timberline in November of 2017 since his papers were with this vet and I brought in his stool sample within days of his first exam. I received a call from the vet a couple days later informing me that my puppy did NOT have parasites and that he was okay, which I have proof of. My boyfriends dad took him back to Timberline last week since hes had consistently soft stool since we got him and has always been tired even though we were told that was just how he is. He was tested for parasites again and when they looked up his file from November they told him “Looks like the test results never came in for parasites back in November” which means they had either lied or lost the results and he has actually had a parasite for months undetected. The wife has brought animals here since around 1980 and together (we've been married 15yrs now) we've brought in Ferrets, dogs (2), cats(2) and has always been very professional. IF you feel Dr Hitt is rushing or not paying enough attention say so, he will take the time to answer any and all questions and really cares about the animals (and their owners) The wait times are unfortunate but as a people going to the ER people hospital you can wait 4hrs or more, think of your pet as a person and they're likely getting better care than we owners do and it is well worth the wait! ]:o) Dr is a busy man and spends a good portion of the day in surgery and we can trust our beloved pets with Timberline great staff great doc well recommended. I took my dog here on Tuesday without an appointment. The Dr was very friendly and not wanting to cause more pain to my dog. He got a shot to start the swelling to go down and a prescription. I was surprised at how inexpensive the Dr visit was. My dog had to go back because the swelling came back. My dog has a bad tooth. They did not charge me for a recheck. The Dr wants him in to get it out asap. He even told me that if the front desk says he is booked to tell them to talk to him. The Dr was just as upset as I am about the pain my dog is in. Call to make an appointment for my puppy, for his second set of shots (he's 7 weeks old). They told me they don't make appointments for shots, they only do walk-ins. Walk in times on Sunday are from 10-1; my boyfriend, myself & our puppy get here BEFORE 11:30 & I'm told 'sorry, no more walk-ins today because we're really busy & we close at 1'. Considering it's not even 11:30, & you're supposedly so busy (3 people we're ahead, but none were for shots) then maybe that's a great reason to make appointments versus walk-in, especially for shots... That my now 8 week old puppy needs & needs by next weekend. Very frustrating! Poorly managed on the appointment front! I WILL NOT be coming back here or do any recommendations! Read Less

Anytime I would have a question or a concern they have been there and tried to give us the best advice they could. In Jan. we had terrible tragedy with our furry best friend and it was before they opened and we were advised to go to the animal hospital in Plainfield, Dr. Hitt and staff were very sympathetic to our loss. The vet is all about the animal. If you like to be stroked and make small talk, this vet is not for you. He is straight to the matter at hand. Take your pet there, he charges reasonable fees and has reasonable walk-in hours. The vet will do what he can to get your pet well again and will not break your bank in doing so. I have been going to this animal hospital for years and the caring staff and Dr. Hitt are absolutely the best!! I travel from Romeoville, and they are worth it.They actually care about your pet, having lived here for almost 20 years, I have yet to find any vet that surpasses not only the Customer Service for humans but the overwhelming attention to my dog.
