Dr.s McKenna and DiFuccia are thorough, caring and delightfully in tune with cats in a dog world. We have one we nickname the "Rain Man" and even he survives the trauma under their kind tutelage. We wouldn't take any of our herd to another doctor and feel the prices charged are fair for the incredible quality of care. The folks at the front desk are just as good as the ones in back and I can't speak highly enough of the professionalism and caring everyone in the practice displays during every visit. We have seen them handle everything from neutering to end of life and the experience is invariably superlative. Love these guys!

When we consulted with Dr. Google, he was very open to new thoughts, ideas and treatment. He would also give us choices instead of insisting that there was only one solution. The staff here is wonderful. Very responsive to out kitties needs. We found the prices to be quite reasonable. Highly recommended.

Our family dogs have been seen by Dr. McKenna for over 20 years, he's terrific - and now with a dog of my own I see his new partner Dr. DiFuccia who's awesome; I live in downtown Chicago but make the drive out because he's worth it. Dr. DiFuccia always promptly responds to my calls (within a few hours at the very most), provides thoughtful recommendations for my dog's health - of which he always starts with the most simple/holistic/least invasive option, and has gone the extra mile overnighting antibiotics when my dog was attacked by another dog. This is a practice that you can fully trust - I'm happy to see other reviews also attest to the quality both vets and their staff.

Not my normal vet but I was able to take my beloved cat, Laila, here on a weekend when she was having a health emergency with her eye and I couldn't get into my normal vet. They were friendly and thorough and the vet really cared about Laila. They did a thorough exam and her eye infection/scratch cleared up with the medication they gave. Highly recommend!! They have great hours, caring staff, and knowledgeable. I felt Laila got exceptional care.

We cannot speak highly enough about Dr. DiFuccia. He helped us through the death of our cat recently, and he could not have been more kind, compassionate, patient, and understanding. He truly cares about animals, and about people as well. Dr. DiFuccia made one of the toughest days easier for us, and for our cat. The staff, and especially the veterinarians, at the Animal Hospital of West Lake Forest are absolutely phenomenal. I have used them as long as I have had pets, and despite moving 30 minutes away, I refuse to move my pet care elsewhere. I drive past no less than four other clinics en route to the AHWLF...They are a little higher than average in prices for their services, but are by no means the highest, and the exceptional level of care and compassion is more than worth what you pay. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in the area who has pets.

I have been bringing my cats to this establishment since the 1980's and was impressed with the staff's friendliness and the DVM's. The old timers have since retired and turned the vet business over to new blood. This vet practice was infused with new knowledge regarding our furry "children". Our go-to vet is Dr. DiFuccia, graduate from UW Madison. There are so many things I like about this practice, have an emergency? Call the hospital and your call will be answered promptly (no voice mail or press a number), by a friendly, understanding staff member, who remembers you and your pet. They will try their very best to fit you in immediately for that day. They get it. Our "pets" mean that much to us as members of our family. Regular check ups are scheduled just as easily. The best news: little to no wait time (unless there's an emergency). The staff chats with you and you can gush about your little or big one and you won't sound crazy. My family has 4 beautiful Siamese cats and they get the best care with Animal Hospital of West Lake Forest. Recently, Sherlock , our 11 year old Lilac, had to undergo dental surgery and had most of his teeth removed. Dr. DiFuccia gave us options and suggestions, he is patient and provided detailed information regarding the procedure. He explains the pros and cons and if it takes 5 minutes or 30 minutes, you feel like you are the only patient in the office. Sherlock is down to 5 teeth but, he is so much happier, you can see it in his eyes and demeanor. I recommend this practice to all pet lovers.

I don't ordinarily write reviews, but I was compelled after the kindness and compassion that was shown to me during an unfortunate circumstance. I had to say goodbye to an old friend, if you know what I mean. Dr. Breslin was kind and understanding of my dog's situation and my reluctancy to let him go. They allowed me all the time I needed and did not rush me and kept me informed of how the procedure would take place. I've never done this before and they made me feel comfortable. They handled my dog with care and respect. It may sound tacky but cost was a consideration and I think they were very fair. For that I highly recommend their services.

I was referred to the Animal Hospital of West Lake Forest after getting a new miniature schnauzer puppy last year. This place is wonderful. They really listen to your cares and concerns about your furry children. I see Dr. DiFuccia and I can not say enough good things about him. He is open minded and very flexible when it comes to your desires for the pet's well-being. He doesn't force medications on you and definitely makes suggestions when you ask about taking a more natural approach to your pet's health. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed with the care that you and your pet receive when visiting this great place.** The prices may be just slightly higher than some other clinics out there, but it is absolutely worth it to know that your pet is in loving and compassionate hands.

I have been going to West Lake Forest Animal Hospital for five years. My dogs love the attention they get there and so do I. Dr. David McKenna is very knowledgeable. I have two snub nose dogs, Bulldog and Boston Terrier, which have their own specific issues. McKenna and his partners are well versed with these type of breeds and they are excellent with my dogs. The support staff is proffesional and treat me and my dogs perfectly.

Not my normal vet but I was able to take my beloved cat, Laila, here on a weekend when she was having a health emergency with her eye and I couldn't get into my normal vet. They were friendly and thorough and the vet really cared about Laila. They did a thorough exam and her eye infection/scratch cleared up with the medication they gave. Highly recommend!! They have great hours, caring staff, and knowledgeable. I felt Laila got exceptional care.

We cannot speak highly enough about Dr. DiFuccia. He helped us through the death of our cat recently, and he could not have been more kind, compassionate, patient, and understanding. He truly cares about animals, and about people as well. Dr. DiFuccia made one of the toughest days easier for us, and for our cat. We are now pet less, but as soon as we do get another pet, we will definitely be bringing him or her to Animal Hospital of West Lake Forest, and to Dr. DiFuccia.

The staff, and especially the veterinarians, at the Animal Hospital of West Lake Forest are absolutely phenomenal. I have used them as long as I have had pets, and despite moving 30 minutes away, I refuse to move my pet care elsewhere. I drive past no less than four other clinics en route to the AHWLF...They are a little higher than average in prices for their services, but are by no means the highest, and the exceptional level of care and compassion is more than worth what you pay. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in the area who has pets.

I have been bringing my cats to this establishment since the 1980's and was impressed with the staff's friendliness and the DVM's. The old timers have since retired and turned the vet business over to new blood. This vet practice was infused with new knowledge regarding our furry "children". Our go-to vet is Dr. DiFuccia, graduate from UW Madison. There are so many things I like about this practice, have an emergency? Call the hospital and your call will be answered promptly (no voice mail or press a number), by a friendly, understanding staff member, who remembers you and your pet. They will try their very best to fit you in immediately for that day. They get it. Our "pets" mean that much to us as members of our family. Regular check ups are scheduled just as easily. The best news: little to no wait time (unless there's an emergency). The staff chats with you and you can gush about your little or big one and you won't sound crazy. My family has 4 beautiful Siamese cats and they get the best care with Animal Hospital of West Lake Forest. Recently, Sherlock , our 11 year old Lilac, had to undergo dental surgery and had most of his teeth removed. Dr. DiFuccia gave us options and suggestions, he is patient and provided detailed information regarding the procedure. He explains the pros and cons and if it takes 5 minutes or 30 minutes, you feel like you are the only patient in the office. Sherlock is down to 5 teeth but, he is so much happier, you can see it in his eyes and demeanor. I recommend this practice to all pet lovers.

I don't ordinarily write reviews, but I was compelled after the kindness and compassion that was shown to me during an unfortunate circumstance. I had to say goodbye to an old friend, if you know what I mean. Dr. Breslin was kind and understanding of my dog's situation and my reluctancy to let him go. They allowed me all the time I needed and did not rush me and kept me informed of how the procedure would take place. I've never done this before and they made me feel comfortable. They handled my dog with care and respect. It may sound tacky but cost was a consideration and I think they were very fair. For that I highly recommend their services.

I was referred to the Animal Hospital of West Lake Forest after getting a new miniature schnauzer puppy last year. This place is wonderful. They really listen to your cares and concerns about your furry children. I see Dr. DiFuccia and I can not say enough good things about him. He is open minded and very flexible when it comes to your desires for the pet's well-being. He doesn't force medications on you and definitely makes suggestions when you ask about taking a more natural approach to your pet's health. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed with the care that you and your pet receive when visiting this great place.** The prices may be just slightly higher than some other clinics out there, but it is absolutely worth it to know that your pet is in loving and compassionate hands.

I have been going to West Lake Forest Animal Hospital for five years. My dogs love the attention they get there and so do I. Dr. David McKenna is very knowledgeable. I have two snub nose dogs, Bulldog and Boston Terrier, which have their own specific issues. McKenna and his partners are well versed with these type of breeds and they are excellent with my dogs. The support staff is proffesional and treat me and my dogs perfectly.
