My name is Debra May. Let me tell you about this angel of god who saved my little Zach's life today. My 9yr old service cat Zach had a urinary obstruction and was literally 99% dead when i brought him to my local er vet hospital last night in the city of Chicago. The dr there told me that he most likely pass away within the hour. I was completely devastated! But because i only had $50 all they could do was give him a painkiller but told me that i needed to get him to my vet in the morning. I called a friend who recommended that i go see Dr. Hamid in Crystal Lake. She called him and explained my financial situation and he told her to tell me to bring him in anyway. After driving 44 miles with a completely lathargic Zach to Dr. Hamid's office i was a complete mess. Zach was so swollen he looked like he'd swallowed a watermelon! Dr. Hamid was so thorough in his examination and explained everything to me as he went along. He told me that he could save him and i just started bawling my eyes out! He then had me go wait in the waiting area and a little while later he brought me my little baby back to me and said he's no longer obstructed. Zach looked normal again! He explained everything that he did, then handed me 2 boxes of special medicinal food, a bottle of liquid antibiotics, a bottle of pain pills, and the syringes needed to administer the meds. My heart sank to the pit of my stomach because i knew this was going to cost alot of money and i have nothing. This beautiful angel waived the entire bill! I cried and thanked him to no end! When i got home and took him out of the carrier he actually sat up and looked at me! (He couldn't do any of this before going to see him!) He started drinking water and walking around slowly but a bit wobbly and had even started going into his litter box and urinating! He is taking it easy but he has improved 50% and its only been about 6 hours since leaving Dr. Hamid's office. He's even eating now! I don't know how, but someway, someday, i am going to repay this wonderful compassionate man, excellent Veterinarian, and all i can say to all of you reading this, is you would be the luckiest person in the world if you chose Dr. Hamid as your Veterinarian! His staff were so wonderful and kind and compassionate as well! I wish there was an option on here to give him more stars because I'd give Dr. Hamid and his staff all the stars in the sky! We love Dr Hamid and his staff! My dog Patrick was very sick recently doc was able to save him. He was able to diagnose a digestive disorder that was caused by a change in his food by the manufacturer. He is patient kind loving and gentle with all of the animals that come in. He has an absolutely wonderful way with the animals and the owners. Best that we've ever used! Give him a try whether you have a dog or a cat he and his staff are fantastic. Read Less

Dr Hamid and is his staff are so kind to my sweet old girl and took such great care of her, spoke to her so kindly, & I can tell my dog trusts them as well! She had to have two surgeries (unrelated to each other) in the past two weeks and his prices made it possible for me to save my dogs life. he has the lowest pet exam fee in all mchenry, wonderlake, Crystal lake, woodstock, fox lake & round lake (yes, I really called them all!). Dr.Hamid has a good heart and really cares for his patients, he told me he doesn't charge what other doctors charge because what matters to him is saving my dogs life. I came to Animal Hospital of Randall Plaza through the organization I adopted my puppy from.  I was so impressed with the staff and Dr. Hamid.  They were thoughtful and sweet (even for something as simple as a vaccine!).  I also had my dog spayed, and her front dewclaws removed.  This was something as a first time puppy owner I was very nervous about, but everyone was so understanding and put my worries to rest.  They were also super helpful in working with me and the organization I adopted through which was paying for the spay.  It was confusing for a little bit due to miscommunication on my end, but they were so patient and understanding, and I really appreciated that.  After the surgery they called to let me know Kedzie was okay, which I so appreciated!  All of the follow-up appointments were just as engaging as the first.  At no point did I feel rushed or that I was not being as well served as others due to coming through an adoption organization and not being a client.  If they were not 45 minutes away from where I live, I would absolutely use them as a primary vet.  I would highly recommend to anyone who is in the area! So let me tell you about Dr Hamid. To me he is a wonderful vet. He was the only vet that actually diagnosed my puppy with a disease. A good vet is a vet who actually cares. I do rescue. I rescue pits who are abused no shots, to skinny, and abused. Dr Hamid stepped up to help out networking and give shots, surgery, and whatever else the baby needs to help. Dr. Hamid and his staff are the absolute best around. When my dog was injured on a Sunday on a holiday weekend, he was reachable by phone, dropped everything and sped back to Crystal Lake to meet me at the Animal Hospital to do emergency surgery. He saved my dog's life. Since then, I've acquired another dog and we take him to see Dr. Hamid, too. Very professional, very knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly. I do not recommend this place at all... No help at all after 3 visits -the vet just kept saying I've never seen anything like this. We went to a diff one and right away with the help and that day we already knew what was wrong with our dog! Sorry but this place just keeps charging you for everything and no answers. I have many cats and I have had many vets over the years and Dr. Hamid by far is the best. He is very compassionate and he does what is the right for your pet. He is very reasonable on costs and he is not trying to find ways to escalate the vet bill like other vets I have known. I am very lucky to have found a man with a big heart whose main purpose is to help your sick or injured pet. Last year I had to put down a cat who I loved very much and Dr. Hamid comforted me in my time of grief and I will never forget his kindness. This place is fantastic! I have a 12 year old german shepard and I came home a few weeks ago to blood all over the place. I was so worried about my dog and was in a panic. I just so happened to land at this hospital because it was the closest to my home. All I can say is wow. Dr. Hamid was there alone because his assistant had a doctors appointment. He first calmed me down and said everything will be ok. He did emergency surgery on my dog and the price was awesome. He even stayed past his closing time to make sure everything was done properly and he did not rush. Dr. Hamid really has a passion and love for animals and it really shows.
