I feel so fortunate to have found the Canine Center and specifically, Dr Barcus. Her knowledge, professionalism, compassion and integrity are second to none in my opinion. She understands and appreciates her client's unique situations and does everything she can to avoid unnecessary charges, while providing a superb level of care. She listens to you and answers all questions thoroughly to ensure you understand all aspects of your pet's health management. Her staff is consistently friendly and helpful.

I feel so fortunate to have found the Canine Center and specifically, Dr Barcus. Her knowledge, professionalism, compassion and integrity are second to none in my opinion. She understands and appreciates her client!s unique situations and does everything she can to avoid unnecessary charges, while providing a superb level of care. She listens to you and answers all questions thoroughly to ensure you understand all aspects of your pet's health management. Her staff is consistently friendly and helpful. My one and only complaint is they need better signage if you're approaching from south Rt 45! Even after several years, I still always miss the turn!! Or is that due to my being a senior driver??

Cooper and I have been going to the Canine Center since he was about 8, he is now 15. At this point we go three times every week for fluids and at longer intervals for stems cells, both to treat his kidney issues. Everyone at the Canine Center is wonderful and the structure of the facility takes away much of the stress of going to the vet, no group waiting room, no interaction with other dogs, no cats, etc. Dr. Barcus is proactive and up on current techniques. Without starting the stem cell process last year I don't think Cooper would still be with me. Happy to say he is still active and happy and I am thankful to everyone at the Canine Center for taking such great care of my boy.

I took dogs to Dr. Barcus 10 years ago and found that she was a knowledgeable and informative chiropractic vet. My dogs have only needed routine care since then. I travel a lot in a motor home so have used vets all over the USA for this routine care. I have never had the level of cruel treatment anywhere else but here. I took my extremely shy dog to Dr. Barcus this week. I was asked if my dog did better with me present or away from me. I replied that she is shy and would be better with me. A vet tech came to get her for a blood draw (no owners allowed) and DRAGGED my dog down the long hallway. My dog weighs 17# and could have been carried or I could have been asked to take her to the procedure room but, no, she was dragged down the hall. Now, my shy dog who I have spent serious money on rehabilitation classes for and was improving, has regressed to worse than she ever was.Thanks for nothing to the staff at Canine Center. When I told Dr. Barkus about this incident her attitude was uncaring and brusque. She told me it would be discussed at the next staff meeting. So, what do I do with a ruined dog?

Bottom line on Dr. Barcus. She knows what she's doing. She knows dogs, she has dogs, she cares for dogs. Lots of folks have their own opinions on what to do for their animals, and they are entitled to them. She doesn't mince too many words, and doesn't dance around issues. She's a straight shooter who will give you your options. She's been caring for my animals for years. I value her experience and suggest anyone in this area consider her for their dog's care. Her staff is professional. They have a nice clean facility. Her margins on most products aren't crazy. I have personally seen her go out of her way to save me money. Overall, a top notch Vet..

LOVE Dr. Barcus. She is very caring, gives you a lot of time and attention, and is an excellent diagnostician. Dr. Barcus is not a fan of over medicating, which I appreciate. She has a great understanding of dog nutrition, and offers a nice selection of food, treats, and toys at a very fair price. Her offices are bright, clean and friendly... unlike any vet office I've been to previously. One thing that may turn off some people, is she can be opinionated when she strongly believes in something, but I like that she is not afraid to express her concerns about something that may not be good for your dog. She does a lot of research and is up on many new tests, drugs and experimental solutions that are available. We've been bringing our 4 year old Airedale to Dr. B, and are very pleased with the care and attention she gets, plus the follow up that they do. If you want a vet who is thorough, knowledgeable, and passionate about what she does, I think you'll be very pleased. I have recommended Dr. Barcus to others and they have thanked me many times.

Very clean place with big private rooms. Not a fan of the staff. They come across as very condescending . Not very warm and welcoming at all! You should feel comfortable with your veterinarian just as you would wish to be comfortable with your own doctor. Not only did I not feel comfortable but I didn't feel welcome . My dog was a rescue from save a pet and I feel like they were almost judging her and afraid of her because of it. She's a small rat terrier! Sweetest dog in the world. while the veterinarian was speaking to me and giving recommendations for proper care of the dog I felt as though I was spoken to like a child with no respect!

I love the rooms - no slippery metal tables for the dogs. My dog has arthritis and wasn't doing much but lying around. After the laser therapy, he's like a pup again. I highly recommend this place!

I found this place unintentionally and am glad that I did!Dr. Barkus (Yes, that's her name and perfectly fitting) has been excellent with my dog Ryno. I have a German Shorthaired Pointer that she is all too familiar with. She understands the requirements of this type of hunting dog.Ryno hates going to the vet but every time he comes in here, his tail is wagging and he instantly finds a calmness.I will continue to bring my dog here as he is treated well and I am kept well informed.

Dr. Barcus cared for my dog after he had a full ACL tear. 9 months later, without surgery, he's in better shape than before. She has a loving manner with dogs, and examines them on the floor, at their level, without making them get up on a cold metal table. She's smart and personable. I highly recommended this vet practice.

Cooper and I have been going to the Canine Center since he was about 8, he is now 15. We've been bringing our 4 year old Airedale to Dr. B, and are very pleased with the care and attention she gets, plus the follow up that they do. If you want a vet who is thorough, knowledgeable, and passionate about what she does, I think you'll be very pleased. I have recommended Dr. Barcus to others and they have thanked me many times.

Very clean place with big private rooms. Not a fan of the staff. They come across as very condescending . Not very warm and welcoming at all! You should feel comfortable with your veterinarian just as you would wish to be comfortable with your own doctor. Not only did I not feel comfortable but I didn't feel welcome . My dog was a rescue from save a pet and I feel like they were almost judging her and afraid of her because of it. She's a small rat terrier! Sweetest dog in the world. while the veterinarian was speaking to me and giving recommendations for proper care of the dog I felt as though I was spoken to like a child with no respect!

I love the rooms - no slippery metal tables for the dogs. My dog has arthritis and wasn't doing much but lying around. After the laser therapy, he's like a pup again. I highly recommend this place!

I found this place unintentionally and am glad that I did!Dr. Barkus (Yes, that's her name and perfectly fitting) has been excellent with my dog Ryno. I have a German Shorthaired Pointer that she is all too familiar with. She understands the requirements of this type of hunting dog.Ryno hates going to the vet but every time he comes in here, his tail is wagging and he instantly finds a calmness.I will continue to bring my dog here as he is treated well and I am kept well informed.

She has a loving manner with dogs, and examines them on the floor, at their level, without making them get up on a cold metal table. She's smart and personable.
