Dr. Hamblin saved our first dog's life. We called other vets with our emergency, and no one would see Petey because it was closing time. Dr. Hamblin said to bring him in even though he had never seen him before. Dr. Hamblin is now caring for our Kiwi. He has taken great care of her for the last 8 years! I have been going here for one year now. I went for the first time when my dog had a cyst burst and I needed it cleaned out. They were really great with my dog and very helpful with making sure I was all set to take care of it after we left. The ladies in the front are incredibly friendly and make sure you are getting everything you need taken care of. They are also really great with my dog and talk to her when she comes in. Dr. Hamblin is great with Sadie and very gentle. He is great at answering all of my questions. He is very knowledgeable and offers suggestions, which is perfect for me. we have been going to Alpine for over 20 years and even got one of our cats from this office.   Dr. Dan  has always spent time with our cats and his office staff seems to really care about each of our animals.  I appreciate that we have a good vet so close to home and we thank him as our cats that passed on lived long healthy lives and now we have two more being well cared for. Previously went to another vet in town with my dog who has brittle nail issue's and in numerous visits, nothing was resolved. I was recommended by a few friends in town to check out Dr. Hamblin at Alpine and could not be happier. As soon as he saw my dog, he told me what he thought it was, printed out an article on it for me and got him on the proper treatment. He seems to genuinely care about the animals and making sure they get treated properly and always makes sure to follow up. I am extremely happy with my new vet!!! Read Less

Dr. Hamblin is very thorough and knowledgeable.  I have been taking my pets there for 6 years and he is approachable and available when needed.  They also board pets, so I know my dogs are in good hands should an emergency arise.  They are great at following up to check on pets after they have been treated for an illness. Dr. Hamblin is perhaps the finest caring veterinarian that we have had in caring for our dogs, and even helping us cope when we have had to let them go. He has cared for four dogs of ours, two Maltese, a Sheltie, and now our rescue "combo". I recommend Dr. Hamblin wholeheartedly, if you are seeking a Dr. with compassion and knowledge. Read Less

Dr. Hamblin is very nice and professional. One of his vet techs, unfortunately I don't know her name, older women (maybe in her 50's) with light colored hair, is absolutely horrible. She made the devastating experience of putting our dog down even worse. We have been going to Dr. Hamblin quite frequently due to our dogs condition before she passed, so we were well known at his facility. None of the vet tech were as friendly as they probably should be, but this older tech really pushed up over the edge. She has a terrible attitude, rude, not emphatic at all. While saying our good byes to our family dog she interrupted us for our credit card back because she charged the wrong amount. When asking questions about the different cremation options she was very rude and gave me attitude when I didn't understand her. She never took into consideration what we were going through, even though we were all sobbing. Dr. Hamblin, again, is great, he is understanding and financially accommodating i could not say enough good things about him. But he needs to evaluate the staff he has working for him, especially when they tell us to have a great day moments after our dog died. Read Less

Great animal hospital. They are caring of the animals, and educated in their field. We have saved a lot of money by going to Alpine for our vaccinations, and our animals have been more than well taken care of. The only downside is it can be hard to get an "emergency" (last minute) appointment, but the wait can be well worth it. Dr H is a wonderful & caring vet.Read Less

I have a 9yo dog that has been to many different veterinarians for care. After numerous consultations I brought her here and must say they have found a repeat customer in me. So my cat is bleeding out of its nose. And these people say no we can't see her right now. Not even a quick check to see if its anything that's going to kill her. Just a simple NO. can not believe that. Read Less

I want to say my experience with the vet tech's there was probably the worst experience I've ever had with any vet.  My cat was scared, never had any issues with vet visits prior to this one.  My cat came out hissing at the vet tech and she responded by looking at my cat through his carrier and said "your cat is a BAD cat".  He NEVER hisses, and has never had an issue with any other vet afterwards.  I feel that they were very inappropriate with my cat and how the vet tech spoke with me.  I suggest not taking your animal there if they are nervous about attending vets.  I did not feel comfortable walking into the place, the workers were cold with me. Kindest, most compassionate veterinarian and office staff I have ever encountered. Despite my very fractious kitty not being a regular patient there, they gave me kind, patient telephone support. Dr. Hamblin offered a sensible and minimally invasive alternative (sub-Q fluids, vitamins & an anti-inflammatory) when I decided *at the appointment* that I wasn't ready to put my cat down. No matter what the outcome ends up being, I feel 100% better that I was able to pursue a course of treatment that made sense to me, minimized stress on my poor cat, and gave him a chance.
