It feels weird giving five stars to a vet that I used to have my dog humanely euthanized at. But, Dr McKenzie and the hospital staff were all so sweet that it seems impossible not to give them the thanks they deserve. My dog, Keegan, was getting up there. We knew he decision needed to be made soon, but we were kind of dragging our feet. Sadly, he got significantly worse over the course of a week and I woke up on a Wednesday, knowing it was time. I called our usual vet and felt like it was very impersonal, I decided to look around. I called another vet, but they couldn't see me until Friday. My dog was so tired and I just knew that that day had to be the day. I called Green Tree next. From the moment the receptionist answered the phone, I felt relieved. I was a sobbing freaking mess, but she was so patient and kind. After the appointment was made, she told me that if anything happened between then and when the appointment was, to call them back. She was very personable and compassionate. We showed up and upon checking in, we were immediately sent to our own room. It was nice to not have to wait in a waiting area. I was exhausted, my dog was exhausted, I couldn't stop sobbing. It was just a bad day and to not have to deal with other people was nice. The technician was also sweet. I can't remember her name, but she was very kind. She helped me pick out an urn and didn't make me feel rushed in the slightest. Dr McKenzie came into the room soon afterwards and everything went smoothly. My wife was in Texas at the time and Keegan was her boy, so we Facetimed during our boy's final moments. I didn't feel like they were judging me in the slightest. They gave us time to grieve and spend with him, even after it was over. They even let me use a private hall to leave, so I didn't have to see other people. I didn't think that I could be even more impressed, but when we got the call less than a week later that our boy was ready to come home, I definitely was very impressed. The urn that we picked was beautiful; the crematory that the vet used really puts love into their job. All of this would be worthy of a five star review, but what really sealed the deal for me was the card I received in the mail. Dr McKenzie sent my family a condolence card for our loss. She truly does care about her patients and their family. It was the sweetest touch to an overall sad situation. Needless to say, I'll be taking my other animals here. Green Tree was such a positive experience that I wouldn't even dream of seeing another vet as long as we live here. Read Less
