We are so very thankful for Wolf Animal Hospital where we have been taking our sweet golden retriever for the past nine years. The entire staff is always so welcoming and we are especially thankful for Dr. Herron who we think is the best veterinarian around! Dr. Herron has always made the right calls regarding any concerns that we had with our golden and, if it were not for her knowledge and skill, we don’t think that our 11-year-old dog would be in the good health that she is! In addition to Dr. Herron’s skill as a surgeon, she also has an amazing bedside manner around animals. We never feel that we are in a rush, and it's obvious that Dr. Herron loves animals. We have recommended Wolf Animal Hospital and, specifically Dr. Herron, to so many of our neighbors, friends, and family—all of whom have the same positive remarks! I've been bringing my Terrier mix here for years. The veterinarians always take very good care of Lucky - probably one of the reasons she has made it to 15 years and is still going strong. Waits are short and it is pretty easy to get an appointment. They always find time to see your pet if it is an emergency, even if you haven't scheduled an appointment. Read Less

Excellent service super friendly doctors and staff! I have been to Ruth Helen Wolf animal hospital many times, and they never disappoint! They have a way with animals and they always keep them calm. If your pet hates going to the vet I highly recommend you bring them to this place. You and your pet will be in and out in no time with little to no stress. Dr. Herron has provided exceptional care for my two dogs, including a lemon of a Boxer. She takes the time to explain each recommendation and answer all of my questions. I feel comfortable discussing my goals for my furry babies and am confident that while she always gives me options, my pups are getting very high quality care with their welfare being the top priority. I've been using Wolf Animal Hospital and Clinic since I got my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in 2007 and they were Orphans Clinic. They've been wonderful for my dog and me! She suffered from a luxating patella on both knees and had to have surgery on both sides. Dr. Setlock performed both surgeries (one in 2008 and the other in 2010) and did a fabulous job both times. Buffy is 10 now and still has no issue with mobility. Last year I brought her in for a cough and they identified she needed to see a vet cardiologist due to mitral valve disease (heart disease). They recommended a fabulous specialist who was able to see her in less than a week. Their staff is always friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Ruth Helen Wolf Animal Hospital & Clinic. Very knowledgeable and very helpful through the whole process. And they try to do what they can without you having to pay extra money for treatments or teeth cleanings. Very caring doctors and very attentive front desk! Some helpful tips to just the facility, would be a better process for their check in and out for when they are busy and if thier phone lines are busy the call should just go straight to voice mail vs going to a busy signal. I would enjoy to see some of these things looked into by the facility. But other wise like I said before one of the best places we've been to . Read Less

I December, I was noticing my 23 lb tabby wasn't eating (flashing warning sign #1?!?) and seemed to be in pain while attempting to use his litter box. When I called the answering service, not only did I get an immediate return phone call from Dr. Setlock (who was the kindest, genuine and most professional male veterinarian I had ever spoken to), but I actually received a phone call at 7:30 am the following morning from the clinic, wanting to make sure that Keiko was being helped. I have never seen the clinic dirty or have smelled that "wet dog" odor. Every staff member has always been professional and courteous and believe it or not- PLEASANT! I have never had a problem scheduling an appointment and I have NEVER had to wait more than 10 minutes before any of my animals were seen. In any event, it turned out , as it turned out, Keiko was quite sick and needed surgery on his urethra and he had several bladder stones that needed to be removed. Ruth Helen Wolf was the ONLY clinic that genuinely cared about helping my cat and didn't mention money, fees or costs & charges ONCE! With honesty and candor, I explained to Dr. Herron that I am the sole-single provider of four (4) children and recently started a new job and didn't know how I was going to pay for their services. Dr. Herron, didn't bat a eye and continued to explain every procedure and test that needed to be performed. She was more concerned that my questions were answered and my cats needs were met rather than discussing money, payment plans or credit card applications. Words cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Herron, because she spent a LOT of time with me and not once did I feel like I was "holding her hostage" or keeping her from her other patients (although I was!). Keiko stayed for 8 days and I was constantly getting warm, positive and loving phone calls from the staff, as they, as well, made sure that I understood Keiko's progress and recovery process. I felt 100% confident that my "5th child" was being cared for and most of all, being loved. The staff members would call me to tell me that hat they didn't want to see him go! in conclusion I received a phone call at 9:00 pm from the clinic the night before I was planning on bringing Keiko home and instantly I thought the worst! It was Dr. Herron calling me to tell me that they just had a board meeting and she wanted me to know that it was a unanimous vote to have Keiko's medical procedures and medications paid in full from "The Daisy Fund". The Daisy Fund is a charity organization that helps pay/donate funds for families in crisis who are unable cover the medical costs needed to treat their pet. To this day, I am so very grateful for the love and the best-in-class services my loving cat, Keiko received. Thank you to EVERYONE at Ruth Helen Wolf Animal Hospital for all of the love and care we ALL received. TO this day, Keiko is now 19 lbs and healthy and active as ever! Read Less

Came here to get my kitty spayed. Staff is very nice. I have asked the doctor to examine my cat's hernia, the doctor didn't seem very concerned and brushed it off saying it will get fixed during the spay. The hernia (what it seems to be, it could be swelling) is still visible after her surgery and after calling and inquiring further the staff simply said they didn't know whether it was fixed. Veterinary assistant said her incision looks bigger and believes the hernia had been fixed, however when I called their office next day, they said my cat had no hernia...? I guess I will go get a second opinion. Stars will be significantly lower if the operation had not been performed during the spay as we discussed. The best aminal clinic I have ever been to. I have 2 dogs one is a little crazy when she goes to the vet and they know exactly how to handle her and the other is fine. They have both had surgeries there, a knee and a exploratory abdominal surgery and they took such great care of my dogs. I will never go anywhere else!!! The staff are excellent caring people! Dr Setlock and his team are a phenomenal group of professionals that provide exceptional veterinary care. They have been my pets medical home since 2001 - and I would never go anywhere else. The receptionists, vet techs, and docs all go out of their way to ensure my furry friends remain in good health. They are thorough and careful with their diagnosis; when our pets are sick and in need of treatment, the most effective and humane treatment is provided. Their care is delivered with patience, kindness, and compassion. Dr Setlock has often gone above and beyond for my beloved animals. All have shared and been witness to my smiles and joys of adopting a new pet, healthy check ups, injuries and sick visits, senior years and senior moments, to the heartbreaking tears and sorrow of saying goodbye. We have taken both of our dogs to Ruth Helen Wolf Animal Hospital for the past two years since and we have been impressed each time. The staff is helpful and compassionate and is comforting when it is obvious that dogs are anxious or nervous. We greatly appreciate the automated reminders for when appointments are due and the recommendations they provide when we are there.
