I recently adopted a 10-year-old beagle from the shelter that had horrible dental problems he needed surgery and it was so bad that one tooth fell out during his cleaning and had to have 7 teeth Pulled. Thank God the doctor noticed a small tumor on his lip. He removed it, he sent it out for a biopsy and it was cancer I am so happy that the doctor checked him over very good and made sure everything was OK with him my little boy is doing wonderful now he’s very happy playing now and his tails wagging his eating Good he’s not in pain anymore all thanks to this wonderful clinic and staff Read Less

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I didn't know how to clip my dogs nails properly and the vet tech cheerfully showed me how. Doctors were very patient when I asked a million questions. They gave me several options to choose the best solution for my pet. I got a follow up call about my pets response to the medicine. Brookside is a very good vet to take your furry babies to for care. The Vets and staff are friendly and patient with me my Labrador. She's always been a big baby when going to the Vet, and will cry loudly; they are always understanding. Absolutely love everyone!!! We typically see Dr Damman but have had our furbabies seen by all three vets. We have a cat and dogs. The staff was very friendly! The Vet was gentle with my dog and was knowledgeable and thorough. The Vet checked in with me the same day to see how Dino was doing and also followed up a couple days after. They answered all my questions and put me at ease. I have been going to Brookside since my very first pet 30-some-odd years ago. Most recently I have gone there for my 17 year old cat and 9 year old dog. Both animals have never seen any other vet than Dr. Thayerl. When I had to put my cat to sleep just recently, they were very compassionate and caring about both my comfort and my cat's comfort. They did everything they could to make sure that we had a chance to say goodbye in a peaceful and caring environment. It was still exceptionally difficult, but it was made a little easier by knowing just how much everyone cared. It was like they were losing a part of their family, too. My dog will ONLY allow ONE vet to handle her, and that's Dr. Thayerl. She is always gentle with my dog and she discusses all treatment options available to help me make the right decisions for my pet's care. We've been through a lot of rough times together, but I won't take my dog anywhere else, no matter how far I have to drive. Read Less

Beyond phenomenal. The staff here really knows what they're doing and has a genuine love for animals. My dog has had 3 surgeries here and they have been done beautifully and he recovered quick. Recently we had an emergency with our dog and they took him right in. I come here for my dog for the prices and vets in Chicago are just rigged and completely not taken seriously unless you have money in your pocket. This place is affordable and trust worthy.
