Mostly Cats Veterinary Clinic is amazing. If I was staying in town, I would want them for my veterinarian! I was stopping in Illinois, on a move by car to New York from Colorado. I needed to board my cats while I stayed with Family in Illinois. I was running late getting in to town, and the wonderful people at Mostly Cats stayed late so I could have my cats could be safely boarded during my stay. They took such amazing care of my kitties while they were there too. Really looked out for them, knowing they had such a long car ride, and they were going on another when I picked them up. Consideration was given to their situation, that I know other hospitals do not give. They really were nice to me, and so great with my pets. I am so happy I choose them, and would recommend them. Goblin is doing amazing he’s running around eating and drinking. When he first got home he went to the bathroom and then ate and drank and was back to himself. My first visit to Mostly Cats, I found out that my baby had a terminal condition. The staff was VERY friendly. The vet even cried when she told me! You can tell they really care about animals. They kept in touch with me, returned my calls in timely manner. When it was time to put our furrbaby down, they scheduled a time so we woukdnt have to wait at all. They explained everything. I went there today for my 7 week old kitten. First off horrible service the ladies were getting mad a something kept saying I'm done very loudly being obnoxious. My kitten kept smelling something I was like OK maybe she smelling another animal. But she wasn't when I went to look at the advertisement on the wall I smelled it too it was dried cat pee of some sort on the scale if I would have noticed that sooner I would've never let them put my kitten on there or let them give her shots. They were very overpriced to I could not believe how much my first bill was from here. I'm definitely not going there ever again. Read Less

We originally wound up at Mostly Cats because one of our 2 kittens broke his hip bone. After an emergency vet visit followed up by one to our normal vet we wanted to get a second opinion on our options. We found ourselves in the company of an entire staff that instantly fell in love with our little broken Gus Gus. The vet was kind and compassionate. You could tell that she genuinely loved animals and that she had our cat's best interest at heart. During the consult we told her that we had called a surgeon in town but that we hadn't made a decision yet. Instead of trying to talk us into having the procedure done at her facility she encouraged us to go ahead with the other surgeon. He had done the procedure a number of times and she had heard good things about him. This place isn't the closest option to our house, but we get the highest quality care you could possibly ask for at Mostly Cats. They care about the animals they care for. Had I listened to the advice of the Dr at Mostly Cats my cat would be dead.  A few years ago our cat began vomiting uncontrollably out of the blue.  He could keep nothing down.  We brought him to our vet and she assumed it was a hair clog so gave him a laxative.  This did not work, he continued to vomit after every meal, he was losing weight, severely dehydrated and failing to thrive.  Our vet believed that there may have been something lodged in his intestine causing a blockage.  Her office is small and does not have x-ray or ultrasound technology so she recommended that we go to another vet just for this service so we could see for sure if something was causing a block.  She did not recommend Mostly Cats, the only reason we went there was because they accept credit cards.  I told them that I did not need a "second opinion"  I only needed the x-ray and/or ultrasound to see if there was in fact blockage.  Mostly Cats did not communicate with my vet at all, they charged me a "second opinion fee" even though that was not the reason I was in there.  They did not listen when I said the vomiting came on suddenly, as in overnight.  They took an x-ray, not ultrasound, and told me that my cat was suffering from "micro-hepatic disease" which would require a very expensive surgery and that he be on special food for the rest of his life and also that he would probably die.  I was extremely upset, not understanding how any of this made sense as a liver disease would usually not come on so abruptly.  I had to pay over $200 for that visit.  When I told my vet what they said she shook her head in disbelief and told us that was definitely not the case at all.  As a last resort she performed an exploratory surgery of which we knew he may not survive.  She found that there was a piece of foam that he had eaten that was causing full blockage of his small intestine.  Had Mostly Cats communicated with her and performed an ultrasound, they would have seen this.  We are very fortunate that our cat survived this, but had we listened to the advice of Mostly Cats, he would be dead. We had an issue with one of our cats ears and called because their web site indicated the Dr. had completed some continuing education with focus on ear issues.We had an appointment in a day! The staff was great! And the Dr. was outstanding. Very compassionate and understanding and answered our questions with patience (other places make you feel like your wasting their time) .We have the medications and now we will see how well it goes. I highly recommend this clinic!  The entire staff is helpful and compassionate, as well as extremely competent.  Last night, I found a cyst on one of my cat's legs.  I called in the morning to schedule an appointment, and they got my cat in within the hour.  My cat is also an extremely difficult customer, but the staff was very understanding and patient with him.  He both urinated and defecated on the staff during his examination, and they still expressed concern for his well-being.  The vet even said what a good boy my cat was!  I'm very impressed that they don't judge an animal based on his composure at the office.  My cat is very sweet but has a lot of anxiety at the vet, which they immediately recognized.  The vet also didn't rush me into expensive surgery but took a more conservative route.  She was very helpful and my cat has definitely found a new vet!
