We have been using Malta Veterinary Hospital for multiple family dogs and have always had a great experience. A couple of times we have had our dog attacked by other dogs and was able to come in to have her checked out the same day. Yearly checkups have also been similar. We ended up saving a stray Doberman with heartworm. Malta Animal Hospital was awesome on working out a program with us to save this beautiful animal. We dealt with Gail and the doctor. If you go there ask for Gail. She rocks! This is a person absolutely wholoves animals! Update three years later. Astro the Doberman is doing fantastic. Love him to death. We took a stray cat to this Veterinary Clinic to check for a microchip. While they were nice enough to take her in since we already are at our pet limit per our town ordinance and we also didn't know if she was healthy enough to bring in our home, they become a nightmare. They took our information, but they did not contact us. We called this morning to check on her and they became uncooperative and said unless we claimed her and paid board, they would give us no information. If they had advised us of this when we initially brought her in, we would have taken her to a more trusting local rescue. This place was deceitful, not forthcoming. My main concern was the cats safety and now I wonder what these people will do to this lost cat. My own animals will never be taken here. Read Less

Prices are reasonable! My dog needed a second surgery due to a dog bite that my munchkin suffered.  Anyway, the first veterinarian that initially did the surgery warned me she needed a second surgery!.  I decided to take my dog to Malta veterinary hospital for a second opinion and I'm so glad I did!  I saved myself over 1/2 the amount I was originally quoted by the first veterinary for a another surgery and in my opinion...
