I just can't say enough about everyone here. They have all taken truly *excellent* care of my dogs, one of whom is diabetic and the other of whom has off-and-on issues with his GI track - problems with puking and constipation. Every single person there who has interacted with me and/or my dogs has been friendly, considerate, and skillful. Their practice is "Fear-Free", meaning that they *really* work to make and keep the animals in their care calm and unstressed. They all use happy voices, gentle handling, and give sedatives if the procedure is likely to be painful or stressful. They're just excellent - I highly recommend them! Read Less

Lived right down the street from place..took my beloved cat there for help. Kept getting runaround obviously didn't know what the problem was for months!! My bill was well over $1,000 and they basically told me it was my fault bcuz she had bad teeth!!Let them remove the so called bad teeth only to find out she has an aggressive cancer that was pushing her teeth out!! Like they couldn't see anything in an xray??!! Took her to our regular vet who found it right away but it was too late to do anything by then:'( ... Plus my poor kitty had just helped me get thru aggressive stage 4 cancer only to get it herself and by the time a real vet saw her...it was too late!! Would I recommend this place to anyone?? I have been coming to Dr. Nykaza for over 25 years. She is absolutely amazing. Her staff is compassionate and loving. I recently lost 2 dogs, within 4 days of each other, which devastated us, and Lincolnway Animal Hospital was phenomenal in helping keep both dogs comfortable at the very end. I have been taking pets to Lincolnway for many years. I have high praise for one Vet there, in particular. Dr. Donna Nykaza. She is very knowledgeable and caring about all of your pets. I would recommend her highly. The only negative about the practice is that they are cost prohibitive in their fees and if you're income is a factor, there are other places to get basic services for your pets, such as vaccinations and spay/neuter services that could be an option. THEY KILLED MY DOG!!! NOT ONLY DID THEY BOTCH MY BEAUTIFUL DOGS SURGERY, WHICH MADE IT SO SHE HAD TO TAKE MEDICINE THE REST OF HER LIFE, BUT THEN THEY OVER MEDICATED HER AND BURNT THE INSIDE OF HER STOMACH. SHE COULD NOT EAT AND JUST KEPT LOOSING WEIGHT. THEIR TREATMENT WAS MORE DRUGS AND TO KEEP HER OVER NIGHT. NOW I HAVE TO GO PICK UP MY BABY'S BODY. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER AGAIN AND STRONGLY URGE ANYONE THAT LOVES THEIR ANIMAL TO STAY VERY VERY FAR. I HONESTLY CANT BELIEVE THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. Let me start by noting that I have been taking my dogs, a Rottweiler and a Doberman here for about 5 years.I have always thought that they  do a little bit of price gouging by trying to add a bunch on unnecessary treatments and extras to my bill. This place is right around the corner, so I just tried to pay close attention to my bill and made a point of telling them to call me first before adding anything to my bill. I think the hospital ownership must have changed or something. I just boarded my Doberman, and I had a veterinarian that I've never seen examine him who clearly has a fear of dogs, this guy jumped several times when my dog, who was muzzled by the way, growled. The exam was 5 minutes long and consisted of a look in his eyes and ears, as well as a tug on his legs! That cost me 50 dollars. They also raised the boarding cost, and forgot to tell me until I was standing there after my trip attempting to pick my dog up. There is no professionalism left, the cost is rising fast and there are very few people here who care about the well-being of these animals. I won't be giving then anymore of my business. Read Less

My poor cat started having trouble with her thyroid a couple of years ago and the staff at Linconway has gotten to know my Lola quite well. Sure there have been A LOT of trips to see them, but they've always been wonderful to her, and comforting to me, especially when she ended up having to have surgery to remove her thyroid glands and ended up having complications after the operation.The staff is wonderful and caring, and always kind to me and careful with Lola, and I appreciate that more than they'll ever know. My family has been taking all of our dogs (3) here for over 10 years.  At first it was great.  Dr Wajda is still great, however Dr. Nicayza and the other vets do not care about you or the health or what happens to your animals.  All they care about is getting their visits in to rape you on the money they charge for an issue the dog has had for the past 3 years.  They refuse to refill prescriptions or write new prescriptions for your dog.  They make you go in and continually pay them ridiculous amounts of money in visit fees.My dog has had the same skin problem for years, and we decided to try and order his prescription from 1800petmeds.com, and the vets declined the prescription because they need to collect their visit fee.  Tried explaining that we simply can't afford a visit but don't want my dog to suffer, and her response on my voice mail was "you should probably take him somewhere else."  What an ignorant greedy b*tch!!!Have a great day!!! The doctors and staff are great people. They have helped me on many occasions. I have more of a professional relationship with them. I work at a local pet spa, Pedigree Junction, and we refer clients to them all the time and in return they do the same. We have gone through several vets over the years for different reasons. I'll spare you all the details of various cat issues. The bottom line is this vet is the best! I'm not an expert on pricing. I will say the prices we have been charged always seem reasonable. They are kind, competent and realistic. They don't lecture us about Jack being a few pounds overweight. He's a cat! His only enjoyment in life is food! I kid you not- This is the ONLY vet that Jack will go to (without pet cemetery noises). Crazy I know, but true! Read Less

We love going to the Lincolnway Animal hospital (except for when we have to have our shots) because everyone there will pet us, scratch our bellies and give us a treat or two. Between the three of us we have had fractured legs, torn ligaments, tummy upsets, a scratched eyeball and a whole lot more. Our personal favorite, Dr. Donna has helped us get better each and every time. And they always put a new bandanna on us when we leave for home! When I moved to the south suburbs six years ago, I was really worried about finding new care for my dogs. My put my fears aside the minute I met the staff at Lincolnway Animal Hospital. Every person who comes in contact with my dogs is courteous, caring, and highly trained. I have two high maintenance dogs. The patience and caring attitutde of the staff is fabulous. The medical care is second to none. I travel frequently and use the kenneling services at Lincolnway as well. My dogs come home rested and excited. This has become their home away from home. The staff is friendly and compassionate and I will never go anywhere else as long as my favorite Dr. is there. (This is not to say the others are not good, I just have my favorite two).
