From the moment I met them 5 years ago I just moved here I had an emergency with my Standard Poodle Puppy. I had called a few Vet hospitals and told them my puppy cant walk. No one would help me They were to busy. And he was so sick!!! I cant go into it now. But the COMPASSION that Mon Clair Staff showed was amazing they didnt even hesitate and said COME IN! No questions askedx. and Dr Harris came outside picked him up out of the car and carried him inside. I was so upset and said I had to go to work and assured me he would stay with the puppy and find out whats wrong. I dont know if Dr knew that those words he said was EVERYTHING!!!! The compassion they have shown through the years and to even people I have sent because their own Vet was to busy. Mon-Clair will never turn away a needing person in need for their animal Cause as most know these animals are like family. I just compared this vet clinic to Belleville Animal Clinic. Wow! What a difference! This has a complete 5 star rating! You should read some of those horrible stories on the BAC clinic! $90 for a trim for a 33 lb dog, all sorts of bad reports! I changed from there to here about 8 years ago. Mon Clair has been taking care of all our animals for over 15 years. They go way beyond what one considers to be good service....they are exceptional. When my daughters 10 y/o dog Nelly was about 14 months old she got hit by a car breaking her front right leg at the elbow. We called their emergncy number. Dr. Miles called back in less than five minutes. She told us to meet her at the office instead of advising to go to the ER hospital. She treated Nelly, wrapped the leg and advised us to call first thing in the morning. Whebn called the next morning she provided us a list of VET's who could do the needed surgery. She gave us her professional opinion on what to expect. We settled on the Small Animal Clinic at U of I Champaign-Urbana. We are pleased that Mon Clair is our medical provider. We originally went to Dr Harres for a second opinion on Molly. We were impressed by his professional caring attitude. When we got our next dog we went to Millstadt with Sara. He provided care above and beyond for this timid rescue dog. Next came Lilly, an 8 year old puppy mill survivor. He was able to provide her health care and guidance to us for this frightened dog that had never been socialized. Now we have Zoey, a 9 year old rescue that needed spayed and was heart worm positive.. We trusted her surgery and care to Dr Harres and he has never let us down. We don't live in Millstadt but I will always make the trip to Monclair and recommend that other do the same. Our daughter feels the same about her cat care from Dr Harres. I was referred to Dr. Harres by a friend when I sought a 2nd opinion for my senior cat. The excellent and warm care he was given led me to transfer my other two cats to their clinic as well. Everyone at Mon-Clair goes above and beyond; its clear that they care deeply about each animal's welfare. Dr. Harres and his staff care for their patients as though they were their family pets too. You could not ask for a better place to take your pets to. They are very personable, and very loving towards you and your animals. They are just the greatest. My dog had cancer and they could of taken us for alot of money, but Dr. Harres was very upfront with us and told us his true and honest opinion. I just can't say enough how wonderful they are.
