I brought my dog here to be groomed. He is an aggressive dog so I have to get him sedated. Not only was the staff great from his 1st appointment they always kept in touch with me up until his grooming appointment. They took such good care of him and Kim did a fabulous job on him. He never comes back with a cute style just shaved from other groomers. As you can see he is very stylish. I'm very impressed with the service and will definitely be coming back. Read Less

Dr. Huffman is wonderful! I have been taking my dogs to Orchard Road the last two years & have had wonderful care. He is personable, extremely knowledgeable, I trust what he suggests as far as treatments go, he treats my animals like they are family- not just an animal & I appreciate that they let you know pricing before you are hit with a surprise when you check out. I am always able to get an appointment at convenient times, they have always been able to get me when emergencies have happened. We've been bringing out dogs and cat here for years. Dr. Distajo is amazing with all of them. She remembers them and even our family. We will continue to go here. Update May 2018, still going here and Dr. D still remember everything. Simply amazing. We moved to South Nashville where there are many other options but we do not plan to ever go anywhere else. Excellent sensitive care from the women behind the busy reception desk. When you call with a need you are never never rushed or diminished in any way. Our Dr. Flieg is very much an animal person. She is not only a Vet, she has a degree in Chemistry which enhances her understanding of food interactions and proteins that are good for your pet. Finally, i have found a veterinarian that i have complete confidence in taking care of my cat Mia! The entire staff is courteous, knowledgeable, always ready to assist. The hospital is spotless. Dr. Molly King has been in contact with me several times for updates, my M.D. doesn't follow-up like this. The lab work is completed in-house, no extra cost of outside fees, with results in minutes to be reviewed, making treatment options immediate. Puppy High Fives to ORAH!! Human High Fives as well. We love Dr. Huffman, he's friendly, compassionate, playful (with the pups), understanding and, best of all, the puppies (well, dogs really) love him! The vet techs are equally as awesome and again, the puppies love them! Front office staff are also friendly and patient with us parents who can, at time, be frazzled after taking two labs to the vet! I don't even know where to begin I am so happy with the service at Orchard Road. First off when we came in the first time we were give a tour of everything from the OR to the boarding facilities. They have it all. It is super clean and the OR is state of the art. We take our dog here for everything from grooming, boarding, check ups and when she got sick. The groomer here is amazing. I don't know how she does it but the way she cuts our dogs eye brows is so cute. We used to take her to Pets Mart and they couldn't ever clean her ears but it is never a problem at Orchard Road. When our dog ate something she shouldn't have last month Dr. Kenndy diagnosed it right away and provided excellent care. The boarding here is top notch. They take really good care of our dog and as I said before the boarding area is super clean. I can't say enough great things about Orchard Road. I wouldn't trust any other vet with my dog. Read Less

To those of you who visit here, let me tell you of my experience. was hired to work there and what I saw was shocking, euthanized animals laying on the floor while the staff was eating pizza, no care at all for these pets, Flys everywhere, poop, you name it. Expensive: (IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY) brought my Dog here for a bad tooth - her face was swollen. They thought it could be an allergy? You pay - but the diagnosis isn't accurate. Second time - the Dog's swelling went down. I received an estimate for $780.41 for a tooth extraction. THIS IS MORE THAN I HAVE EVER PAID FOR MY OWN Teeth - for an EXTRACTION. I brought my dog in because she was itching uncontrollably and congested/ sneezing. The dr came in the room to check my dog. She had green anal discharge which I clean off of her when I see it. The vet said that if there was something going on then she would have matted hair from itching. I worked at a vet for 3 years, I know how to clean my animals. He did not check her heart or breathing. He said she looks fine. 3 weeks later she is having the same symptoms but worse so I contacted the manager and ask if my dog can be seen again, since I paid 100$ And did not even get a full exam. She told me no, that I had to schedule something and pay for it. And that is beside the fact that she was extremely rude. Save yourself a trip and the money. I should have listened when I heard this was not a good vet clinic to go to. Read Less

My dog and I love this place! Dr Kennedy is AMAZING! And has done so much to help samson. The doctors and staff are all incredibly nice and knowledgeable. My dog is kind of aloof but came back happy as a puppy from a day at Orchard for medical day care! My experience is that any service there is exceptional! Dr. Distajo has been our vet for over 12 years. She is so wonderful with not only our pets, but with us as well. We recently had to put one of our dogs down and we were a little disappointed that she was booked and we had to make the appointment with one of the other vets. When we got there she had rearranged her schedule so she could be there with us. It meant a lot to us and it's hard to find that kind of care anywhere. They have never pushed extra services or tests on us which is a huge plus in their favor. Everyone we have dealt with there throughout the years have always been kind, helpful, and professional. I am so thankful for everyone at ORAH. They take such good care of my Bullseye and act like he is one of their own every time he is there. I am an obsessive pet parent and every time I bring something up, Dr. Hoffman doesn't give me a look, but he explains things to me. The sitting area in the front has sections which is nice to separate animal families and friends. There is also a kid's play section. :)We also board Bullseye with them each time we leave on vacation. We wouldn't trust him with anyone else besides family and they took such great care of him. We even got a detailed note about his days and how much the staff adored him. I even called to check on him a couple of times...(told you, obsessive). Such a great place. Amazing! The team at Orchard Road are all wonderful! My dog Parker had swallowed something and it was lodged in his intestines and anchored in his stomach, and Dr. Huffman and his team was able to remove part of the intestines and the object lodged in them. Parker made a full recovery! The care Parker and my wife and I received was amazing. So much so that, the overnight emergency care we had to leave Parker with, said Dr. Huffman called several times throughout the night to check on his, (all already being monitored by the over night emergency staff) vitals, staples, and overall recovery including at 3 a.m!!! This shows that Dr. Huffman really cares about his patients, and less then perfect care will not do! Thank you Orchard Road!! Read Less

Orchard has been nothing but accommodating to us and for our puppy. We recently moved from another vet to Orchard and I have yet to find a con of being with orchard. Nothing but pros, our first visit there our puppy got a free new toy for being with Orchard, We also receive emails of our next appointment. Our puppy has been boarded a few times at Orchard and we receive a card with what Our puppy did each day and who played with her. Orchard also offers a tour of the boarding area if you wanted to see where your animal will be. Our puppy gets super excited when she enters the building so we know she likes it. Dr. Flieg and her staff have been taking care of our fur children since 1990. There are not enough words to describe the skill and expertise, love and compassion that each of the vets and each member of the staff have shown us over the years. Although we have been totally comfortable with each of the doctors, Dr. Flieg has been our cats' primary vet and we were so pleased she was working this past Saturday when we took our sweet Chloe in for what we thought was a bladder infection. As it turned out, Chloe had cancer and we had to make make the painful and heartbreaking decision to put her to sleep. Dr. Flieg guided us through the process, stayed with us and let us have all the time we needed with Chloe. Dr. Flieg, Rick and I are so grateful you were with Chloe until she took her last breath. This place is great so far, I was able to make a same day appointment for the evening when I noticed that my doxie was walking a little weirdly. The assistant seemed a bit overwhelmed, he didn't ask much or say much to us, but Dr. Kennedy was great. She listened to what I was saying, was very compassionate and even got on her hands and knees to feed my dog. They identified the problem, gave us meds, and the price for the visit and meds was reasonable. The only critique I have is that at the end of the visit, Dr. Kennedy was asked for help by another assistant, and we were left sitting in the office for quite some time. She told us she would send us home with two cans of dog food, and that was even reflected in the notes given to us, but we didn't get any. I remembered on the way out and the woman at the front desk got it for us..But we turned around to leave and she said "Wait, you have to pay for it" ..It's not a big deal, but it was a little bit awkward. Very disappointed in this place. Took my cat in for a hair cut under sedation. The cut was uneven, patchy, so close to the skin in certain areas, and in some spots the skin was cut. How do you screw up a hair cut when the cat is sedated? Simple thing to do, but couldn't do a good job of it. Not worth the money they charged. Looking elsewhere for services. Been putting off writing this because it brings up painful feelings but this place is truly a God send. I had to say goodbye to my 18 year kitty this year and it was one of the hardest thing I've ever had to do.The doctors helped us give him the best few months we could and were very supportive during our last visit with him. What truly made this place exceptional was the follow up care for us humans.A week after our last visit we received a token from the office, a paw print of him on a small piece of ceramic. A week or so later a card with everyone's signatures and lovely note. They have been nothing but understanding and supportive.The office itself is very inviting though if you have kitties you may want to double check that there aren't too many dogs in the waiting room before bringing them in. This vet is just fabulous! I am a animal lover three cats and a dog, we had a bad experience at a vet office in Oswego they did not explain anything to us about my cat and were just so un compassionate. Than we got our German Shepard Sylar and needed to find a local vet, from the moment we walked in we were impressed by how friendly and welcoming the staff was. I also do not have enough good things to say about Dr. Distajo she is fabulous and Sylar loves her (even though she hit him in the nose with a treat but that is our fault for not teaching him how to catch sooner lol). The prices are reasonable and the Dr's do not have your pet go through something unnecessary just to earn an extra dollar from you. Bottom line: they love animals so if you love yours take them to ORAH. Read Less

I have taken my animals here (2 dogs & 1 cat) since 2004. At one point I felt good about the staff and the treatment my animals received. Over the past year everything has declined. It now seems that they care more about how much money they can get out of you than the health and well-being of your pet. Also, the front office staff has been very rude to me and my husband on more than one occasion. This last visit was for my cat which was supposed to be his annual wellness visit and a grooming but I ended up with an unexpected $600 bill! AND I feel the other things they did to my cat were unnecessary. Needles to say we will NEVER go back. Read Less

If you are a small dog owner STAY AWAY. The waiting area is a haven for rambunctious large dogs whose owner's have no interest or capability of controlling. Numerous times my small dogs were harassed or approached by dogs over 30 times their size (putting them in an extreme state of distress). The final time my dog was harassed was his last. An uncontrolled dog over 30 times his size attacked and killed him right there in the corridor. It just seems like on average more large breeds are there and with no policies in place to separate or prevent dangerous interactions (and the personnel there either have no idea what's going on in the lobby or do not wish to ask the owner's to politely control their dogs).A vet is not a place where your dog's safety should be in question!!!!There is one vet there who is VERY compassionate but the others seem to be "merely scientists". I would suggest small dog owner's stay away. Read Less

I absolutely LOVE my vet. This place is awesome. I bring both my dog and cat here for surgeries, vaccines, checkups, nail trims, and even boarding. I having nothing but good things to say. The facility is bright, CLEAN, aesthetically pleasing, modern, and pleasant. You don't feel (or smell) like you are at the vet. There is a nice field right outside the parking lot for walks before/after visits. The waiting area is nice with separate areas for dogs and cats, complimentary coffee, and a kid's play area. The staff is super friendly, patient, and competent. My pets (especially my dog, a puggle) are a little...uh, you can say, on the crazy side, especially when it comes to my dog and her nail trims. The staff knows my dog personally and her "special needs", in other words, they know how to handle her rambunctiousness, and they do so with professionalism and ease.We board our dog there once in a while too. The facilities for boarding are great. There is a nice big yard the animals are taken out to run around in, and the boarding staff are super caring and you can tell they love what they do! Read Less

Finally I found a place that cares about my dog and answers my questions truthfully. I went here after going to VCA for the last 3 years. The Dr. asked me a bunch of questions like she actually cared about my dog. She even told me that the food I was giving her was horrible, recommending I stop feeding her that asap. I appreciate the honesty, as I have no idea what is good and bad. I figured my dog liked it so I liked it. She gave me a bunch of options to choose from, not pushing any certain brand. They also gave me a tour, which includes a groomer and boarding wing. I tried this place after multiple recommendations from friends and will be returning, let hope it isn't until next year.
