Was looking for a vet for my almost 4mo old Am PB Terrier. Read the reviews and took Ruby in. They were pretty nice, couldve maybe used a little more cheeriness w/ me being a new client & ruby being a first time patient. I kind of wanted them to be a little more excited about her being there so she would be excites (my pup, if I lost u in that run on sentence lol)
Anywho, the visit went pretty well, my pup had a bit of a swollen snout on one side & I assumed it was a bite or sting from some kind of bug.
Her weight was the only vital they checked. Which I would have liked to know her heart rate, temp, height...so on.
The doc was pretty nice. She did awesome giving Ruby her rabies shot. Nice and easy but she didnt sanitize the area at all before she gave her the shot and I didnt see her wash her hands either...so ehh😕
I gave them 3 stars because it was a clean facility and everything that needed to be done was taken care of. But there were a few things I would have like see be done different.
I know not every place is going to be perfect.
So this is my review. Will post how our experience goes when I have to take her in again in 2 mos to be spayed.

Staff was friendly when we brought our cat in to be fixed, unfortunately after picking her up we realized they had not provided her a litter box at all while they had her for almost an entire day so h...
Staff was friendly when we brought our cat in to be fixed, unfortunately after picking her up we realized they had not provided her a litter box at all while they had her for almost an entire day so her carrier was filled with poop and pee. So much so that we had to roll the windows down to breathe on our way home. If it wasn't for the friendly staff I would have rated this a one star. No cat should be made to sit in their own filth, especially for such a long time. On top of that she had a fresh surgery wound that could have easily been infected by the amount of urine in the carrier. Unacceptable treatment for any pet.

Dr. Sanbourne and staff have been incredibly caring and compassionate when treating our pets. They showed such understanding in the toughest of times when our pets were ill. They never hesitated to call (multiple times) and follow up with us to see how the animals were doing. We are grateful for the staff and the way they consistently went the extra mile. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great veterinarian and clinic. Marge Z.

this is the only vet that my formerly ferral cat will allow to handle him. not only do my pets trust this clinic, I do too...and that goes a long way in knowing as a human nurse, that my pets are gett...
this is the only vet that my formerly ferral cat will allow to handle him. not only do my pets trust this clinic, I do too...and that goes a long way in knowing as a human nurse, that my pets are getting compassionate gentle and intelligent care...the same as my human patients would want and expect from me. We are new in town and took our dog here. He had been to a vet in Iowa and his ear problem came back. The vet here took the time to clean his ears and put medicine in them. The vet in Iowa didn't do t...
We are new in town and took our dog here. He had been to a vet in Iowa and his ear problem came back. The vet here took the time to clean his ears and put medicine in them. The vet in Iowa didn't do this so we were in here now. A few days after his appointment the office called to follow up and see how he was doing. He is doing great. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Provided affordable care for our adopted shelter cat that was suffering from dental problems.
Another vet in town recommended treatment at U of I- Champaign, which would have cost over a thousand do...
Provided affordable care for our adopted shelter cat that was suffering from dental problems.
Another vet in town recommended treatment at U of I- Champaign, which would have cost over a thousand dolllars.
Another vet in town said he was fine as long as continued to eat...even though his dental problems were affecting his health to point where we thought we would have to put him down.

Staff was friendly when we brought our cat in to be fixed, unfortunately after picking her up we realized they had not provided her a litter box at all while they had her for almost an entire day so her carrier was filled with poop and pee.
