I was very pleased with the staff & doctor. My issue is with Debbie the manager who said she's making our account in active. I have been with Dr. Carey for 26 yrs, just recently changed to Cedarway per my husband's request. I have zero complaints about Dr. Carey. My husband's concern is $$. We prefer to order our dogs medications/preventative medications online due to cost but several staff members frown upon that & say everything possible to convince you otherwise. Also, our one dog was recented diagnosed with a severe heart murmur & Dr. T was shocked I was unaware. I brought this dog in for her rabbies & because she had a discharge from her anal region. The doctor recommended blood work & x-rays, I agreed to blood work which came back completely normal :-) Debbie called me with the results & I asked why is my dog on antibiotics then...btw, the discharge was due to her needing her anal glands expressed, which is done every 6 weeks by the groomer. Long story short, I asked Debbie why I can't return the expensive unopened preventative€ medications. She said because they have a no return policy but I said they are a lot less expensive online & she said the medications online are not good quality etc. Needless to say I'm in total shock. I can't believe how this woman reacted to me. How am I supposed to give my dog the preventative medications when I'm not allowed to drop off her stool sample which btw I paid for that test. I so wished I never left Dr. Carey's office, shame on me. We are all trying our best to be smarter when spending. I'm not an irrational person, I barely raise my voice & never once did I when speaking to Debbie. I did inform her of my husband's concern regarding how expensive the preventative medications are through their office & merely asked if we can return the unopened boxes so we can purchase them online for 1/3 the cost & instead I was told she's mailing our dog's records, canceling all the appointments & making our account inactive. the manager there is a complete B!TCH!! hung up on me multiple times, horrible cocky snotty attitude and without Dr's permission, told me shes going to put a lock on my account so none of my pets can be seen there, all bc i called her out for being royally rude on the phone! dr was kind enough to remove the freeze on my account, but i think im going to take the managers advice & NVR GO THERE AGAIN! since then, ive been taking them to cary's animal clinic in New Lenox & love the staff there! super sweet & helpful! I am more impressed with the staff and Dr. Tinio every time I come. They always get us in quickly, make time for injuries, and provide loving care to our tiny kitten as well as our big loveable pitbulls. Read Less

They always make time for us when one of our dogs has an injury or illness. The front desk staff is very friendly. Dr. Tinio clearly is passionate about her job. Her love of animals is obvious, and she carefully weighs decisions. Both she and Dr. Frank have gone out of their way to call us after any procedures are done. Read Less

We've recently moved into the area and Dr. Tinio has seen two of our cats - Mamacita and Pooky.  To our sadness, we had to let Pooky cross the bridge earlier today due to cancer.  We called to let them know earlier in the day and Dr. Tinio,  Rebecca and the staff had a room ready, met us at the door and had everything taken care of ahead of time - they couldn't have been more compassionate and understanding.  I'm very pleased with how nice they are, especially during such a difficult time. I had to hop right off the phone and onto my laptop after having my 100th great interaction with Cedar Way. My 15 year old pug, Greta, is blind, deaf, and has trouble walking, and the staff here treat her like a rock-star and love her like one of their own. My wife and I brought Shania in here because she had become very sick. Sadly it turned out she had advanced cancer. We had to have her euthanized. Dr Frank and his amazing staff were so kind and consoling. I had to euthanize pets before at other veterinary clinics and it was so cold and uncaring. The staff is always the sweetest to my boys! Dr. T has the greatest attitude with the animals and I love Dr. Frank's conservative approach with my dogs. I am never one to jump to procedures and testing, but bc Dr. Frank is so knowledgeable that we can usually avoid all of it. I would like to say that I'm very happy with their service! ! I took my little Rudy in yesterday for his first visit. Dr. Tinio was awesome. She took the time to talk with us and explain Rudy's problems and more importantly to me was she patient, caring and kind to us and our baby. I think I finally found a vet that Rudy can go to and I feel confident he will be very well taken care of....Thanks a millions Cedar Way Veterinary staff. We appreciated everything!!! We couldn't be happier! We picked up Jack from the shelter because he looked frail and not well cared for. Recommended Cedar Way. No crazy testing nor procedures just straightforward vet services at reasonable prices. Our vet was on vacation, and our dog Shelby needed to be seen today. We were referred to Cedar Way Veterinary Clinic and got an appointment the same day with Dr. T. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and Dr. T. was wonderful with Shelby. Very gentle and encouraging. Only giving this place a star cause I have too.  Manager Debbie has no management or people skills.  My cat had an operation here last Tuesday vet said there was problems, I got to take my cat home Thursday by Friday both feet were  swelled and his left paw he would not put weight on it.  I called them and let them know they told me to watch him closely. Saturday his left foot was bleeding brought him in they put a bandage on it and was told  to come back Tuesday or  Monday if he get the bandage off before Tuesday .   Monday they called to see if bandage was still on I said yes they then said to bring him in on Tuesday morning.  Tuesday morning I got there 8 am waited 2 hours to tell me he foot was still not healed and now his dewclaw was aggravated and it is now my fault.  His bandage is now up to his shoulder for another 3 days and they wanted to charge me saying it is my fault!?!? I did not put the bandage on or botch the surgery.  They then told me to leave after Debbie the managed yelled at me and said I was a bad pet owner and told me never to come back again.   Now I have a cat  with bandages  and  open wounds .. So they do not even think they should finish their services !!!!  Do not go there if you want to keep your animals healthy.. True the doctor did make arrangements to se my cat a few times.With a vet tech, when my husband on the last visit wanted to talk to you directly and discuss these issues at the last visit he was told it would be 47.50.   Not sure if you know what your front desk people say in response to asking to ask you a question, I never had a problem with the doctors there they have alway been in some ways the best doctors my pets have ever seen it is just the people we have to go through to get to the doctor. Cedar Way has been great for all of our furbabies, even our rats! They have been a great help with our Border Collie rescue who came to us with hip dysplasia! They recommended a wonderful specialist and have been with us every step of the way. We have sense moved and now have to drive well over a half hour to get to Cedar Way, but we just can't part ways with their wonderful staff! Read Less

Absolutely no problems making appointments and helped me when I had an emergency. Sadly we met on such horrible terms, when I had to put my dog to sleep, but I am so very happy with this clinic. We switched to Dr. Frank after losing our Yorkie/Pom to Kidney disease. We are not blaming our previous vet by no means, but we did noticed the quality of service we were getting was going down when we brought our new addition, (Bella) another Yorkie, the service just was NOT the same after the Dr moved to a different location. They were always overbooked with patients and the quality of time spent with our previous vet was not like it used to be, so we knew it was time to find a better vet. Thankfully we mentioned this to a friend we were out with one night and he told us about his vet, Dr. Frank. So I first started out by setting up an appointment to see Dr Frank for a second opinion for our baby Bella's condition at the time. He said everything seemed okay with what the other vet was doing and to continue with the meds the Dr had prescribed. I was very impressed with the amount of time Dr Frank spent with me going over everything and every visit so far has always been very pleasant, caring and professional, the way it should be! My husband and I are so happy we made the switch to Dr Frank. Our two Yorkie furbabies are treated just like a human baby!Read Less

Excellent health care for your pets!  Appointments are on time, and the Dr. is patient and thorough, you definitely sense that he actually cares about your pet and you. Your pets condition will be explained in detail.  Our 3 year old dog ate a piece of mouse poison one early morning.  We called the vet in a panic and they told us exactly what to do, which was induce vomiting with hydrogen peroxide.  It worked, the dog vomited all of his stomach contents, and we took hm to the vet.  They kept him for examination for a day, and then he came home with a prescription that he had to take for several weeks.  One of the girls that works there even stopped by on her day off to visit him.  Our pet came through with flying colors!  He is now as healthy as he can be.  Doing some internet research, we discovered that the particular type of poison he swallowed was especially dangerous, and we thought for sure we would lose him. Dr. Frank and his people are courteous, concerned, conscientious, knowledgeable and love your pets almost as much as you do. He is thorough and takes whatever time is necessary to explain things to you whether it is for an annual check-up or surgery, or anything in between. They always follow up with a phone call when your pet is sick or has surgery, which is something a lot of vets don't do. On a scale of 10; they are a 15!!! Read Less
