The front desk staff has been so helpful, the technicians have been great, and Dr. Anderson is the most caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate veterinarian I have ever meet. My dog has seen Dr. Anderson since she was a pup (10 1/2 yrs. now), and through good and bad, my heart felt thanks for all Dr. Anderson has done! I have 4 small dogs and brought them all in at the same time for their wellness and vaccine appointment. The receptionists Karen and Stephanie were very helpful with checking us in. Everyone at Companion Animal Hospital is wonderful. We cant thank them enough for the care they provide. We started coming here a little over a year ago when we couldn't get an appointment at our previous vet to have our dog's injured paw examined. Even though they were booked they told us to come in and they would see her. We saw Dr. Anderson and her team and they quickly tended to her injury and put our minds at ease. They have a wide variety of treatment options to choose from. They took the time to explain everything and truly care for the animals that they treat. I don't know what to say about this hospital. I came in with one of my cats, expecting the worse. I pretty much thought her time left was in minutes, but coming here was a saving grace. My cat was unresponsive and in a horrible state before the wonderful people at Companion saw to her. Every nurse and both of the doctors that tended to her were thorough, compassionate, and helpful. These people went beyond what I expected, they gave her a fighting chance. These people really changed a life for the better and I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else. I have been going to see Dr. Hammer for many many years basically when he began his career. We had moved away to the suburbs for a number of years but when we came back over 30 years ago, this is the only vet I would go to. Dr. Anderson has treated my "girls" for many different things. We discovered Companion when our little dachshund Kaylee injured her paw and we were unable to get an appointment with our regular vet. It was close to home so we called to see if they had any appointments. They were booked but said that they would make room to see her that morning without any hesitation. From the moment we walked in everyone was incredibly nice and accommodating. Dr. Anderson and her staff were amazing. We were nervous about going some place new, but hey treated us like family that they had know for years. We immediately felt at ease and they took great care of Kaylee. My pitbull had a TPLO surgery on his knee 2 weeks ago and they were all great with him. The staff was super friendly and for Dr Hammer i have no words..... he fixed my baby up. Thank you Dr. Hammer. Norwood Park is awesome! I work at a local animal shelter and we take all of our animals to them, so I knew I could trust Dr. Hammer and his team when my dog needed knee surgery. Within a week she had a consultation, X-rays, and surgery done. Their pricing was so reasonable and they were upfront about what I owed, and everyone was so sweet with my pup, who can be a little wary of strangers. My dog Baby is not dog friendly so you can imagine how hard is to take her to the vet. I've been taking her here for 7 years now and she loves Dr. Anderson and that definitely makes the experience better for her. Dr. Anderson always answer all my questions and help me keep my Baby (10 year old Boston Terrier) safe. Also the place is very clean, they always answer the phone and the staff is very friendly, they have a patient portal where you can see your pet's health history, they send you reminders about vaccinations and a helpful magazine with tips on how to take care of your pet.
